WE SAW OUR FIRST SILVER ORB

I'm still not so sure if I should even post this, but a definite silver orb flew over our lake Thursday evening, 5-31-01, and it left a bright white trail that only lasted a short time in the atmosphere. My daughter saw it first and came in to describe it, but I was really at a loss figuring out what she was trying to portray until I went out and saw it.
Because it was flying from west to east and the sun was setting, I thought the appearance of a rounded "tail" was just an odd reflection from the sun rays. It moved really quickly, and as it was directly overhead, I could tell it was really an orb, and not just weird reflections.
I don't even know where our cameras are, or whether we have any film in them, but I guess I better do some searching and equipping for any future "events".
The orb just crossed the sky with it's long, but evaporating trail, and disappeared in the eastern horizon. I can't imagine what it was doing, but it "seemed" harmless enough. HA!!
After dark, around 9:00, a helicopter flew over the house at a low altitude - AGAIN - and I ran out to try to identify it, but it was too dark. It too was travelling from west to east, and may have been a Star Flight or a news channel chopper, but I just couldn't tell. They usually don't fly THAT low unless they're searching for someone or something...
Just another day in podunkland...and we podunks are not surprised by too much anymore!

MGY thanks for telling us about your cool sighting. Could you guesstimate the size of the orb?
Maybe it was a real *UFO* followed by the never-too-far-behind black helicopter(s)? Or maybe it was a *sensor/surveillance aerial vehicle* followed by the local media hot on the trail?
Your daughter has a sharp eye. Keep watching the skies! |

Lulu, I feel like it was flying at the same altitude the "chemjets" fly, and it was BIG and seemed to be orange and not as well-defined on the "front side". Now I sound like my 8 year old! The chemjets are usually visible, but not really disticnt unless you really concentrate on the beginning of the chemtrail, but this orb was distinctly rounded on the "tail side" and glowing, but the front end was almost blurry and not really distinct. I WISH I HAD A PICTURE!!! I sound crazy, even to ME! Anyway, in my best estimation, if placed beside a chemjet, it was at least 3/4 it's size. Substantial, to say the least...

That is big! I wish you had a picture too MollyGainYa, but at least you and your daughter got to witness something most do not, and your memory will be your picture
Your description is interesting. Did it move more quickly than an aircraft at the same altitude? If so, how faster? |

I sent a couple of shots of Chems I took in Southern Maine to a Canadian Chem site (I also posted them here). He asked what the objects were in them and I couldn't tell. He actually put them up on his site as a possible UFO.

They could be planes but don't look it. I don't remeber taking shoyts of any aircraft so it is a little strange. Anyone good at telling if these are jets or what? |

Lulu, I would say it moved twice as fast as a chemjet, and made an arc from the west horizon to the east horizon in about 10 minutes, or so. Fast little sucker!

Lulu, my "orb" looked most like Rick Moors' picture dated 4-16-00 in the "Silver Orbs" link in the left column, only it had an orangey shade in the front and a big trail behind it. It was almost shaped like candy corn...

Hi y'all....I was chatting with 'chem11' one night and I told him about my experience with a cluster of 'orbs' or 'tracers' (whatever you want to call them). I thought it would be cool to share it with everybody.
Here's what happened.
Last August (the first day, coincidentally that I saw the chemplanes come over my area) I was snapping pictures of the spectacle going on over my head. I spent about 1 hour taking almost 4 rolls of film. This is no bull, as I took the last picture on the 4th roll of film I looked almost directly above me.
There (about 200-300 feet above me?) was a group of objects. I would guess 5 or 6 in total. At first I thought they were birds. It only took me seconds to realize that birds don't hover motionless in the sky.
After ruling out birds, I knew I was looking at those famous objects often seen beside chemplanes, or in the surrounding chemtrails.
The whole sighting lasted about 30 seconds. In those 30 seconds this is what I noticed (I'm going to try to explain it exactly as I remember it, as bizarre as it seems).
There were about 5 or 6 of them....they were directly over my head. They were low enough that I could clearly see some detail. When I first noticed 'them' they were in a sort of formation...not tight...but loose formation. They were just there, hovering silently....then they started slowly, and silently flocking around each other. Very graceful. They were not bumping into each other, but just moved around each other.
I was watching intensely hoping I would get more, then they just simply 'winked' out. Not all at once, but sort of one after another.
That's it, they were gone.
Here's my honest observations:
They were definately roundish, globe-like and
they, at times, seemed to reflect the sun.
Although they appeared to be a shiny metal, they also seemed to flash a 'dark brown'.
They really weren't very big, I was amazed at how low they were so I could estimate size. I figure they were about half the size of a Volkswagon Bug.
O.K. I hope you're ready for this part. I honestly felt that they were observing me, as I was observing the situation above. I just sensed that I was being watched by them. Possibly due to the fact that I was running around like an idiot taking pictures of the sky? I just thought that it was a little coincidental that in all of that sky, they just 'happened' to appear right above me.
Conclusion.
They were objects, no doubt there. They displayed some pretty strange behaviour.
I feel they, in some way, were connected with the chemplanes/trails.
I honestly wish I knew whether they were 'ours'....or 'theirs'.
Any other experiences like this? Anybody?

Padawan that is incredible. What a sighting.
I've never seen daytime orbs, but have seen a couple at night. One last night, and one about 5 years ago. |

Padawan, wow, seems like the orbs were giving you a show, wake-up call, thanks for telling us, perhaps winked out to another dimension?
eyes open, the close-up looks like a bottle-caped-shaped "ufo"/surveillance/unmanned aerial vehicle to me. |

Lucky you Padawan!
Some people do seem to 'attract' these 'things'...and seem to find that there is a trickster element to it - in your case you say they seemed to be observing you...but they waited until you had taken the LAST picture of FOUR films Others find that their equipment malfunctions, the batteries go flat...or something similar...How has it affected you, if you don't mind me asking? |

Glad to see everyone enjoyed the post about the orbs.
Amber...you wanted to know how it has affected me?
Well, I do feel lucky to have been able to witness that. Honestly, it may sound strange, but the way they moved around, it was really graceful. I didn't feel threatened in any way.
Most importantly, and I can't deny it, I feel that they were checking me out....somedays I think about that and it does give me the creeps.
I was also left with a distinct impression that they were highly advanced, but seemed to behaving as if on remote control.
David....if you have the time, would you consider telling us about your sightings?

That was quite a cool sighting Padawan...and I agree with the comment that they seemed to have waited till you'd taken your last picture...Almost sounds like they were interested in checking you out more than checking out the chemtrail activity taking place over head. Perhaps they were more interested in observing your interest in the chemtrails and they were trying to figure you out. They could have been observing you for that whole hour while being completely cloaked from your view.
It would really be interesting to know what they thought of all your excitement and picture taking activity.
I've seen a few weird things in the sky while just casually observing. Nothing quite as eye catching though.
