Strange Lights
New Jersey Mystified by UFO Sighting

C A R T E R E T, N.J., July 17 — Something dazzled the people of New Jersey this weekend. Something bright, high in the sky.

"It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen," said eyewitness Joe Malvasio. "They were just hovering, and then they just disappeared. One at a time, each one started to fade until they were gone."
Some witnesses thought the phenomenon may have been a sign of an alien presence. Others called it a miracle. But no one knows just what it was — all they can do is attempt to describe it.

"I saw 16 golden-orange colored lights, several in a V-type formation," said Lt. Daniel Tarrant of the Carteret Police Department. "Others were scattered around the V."

At Least 15 Report Lights to Police

At least 15 people contacted Tarrant's department to report the strange lights. But Tarrant and other police officials are at a loss to explain just what it was hovering in their skies.

Most callers described the same scenario: golden-orange lights moving quietly, some say beautifully, across the night sky over the Arthur Kill river. They described how the lights flickered and how they seemed to vanish into the night, one-by-one.

Some drivers even pulled off the New Jersey Turnpike for a better look.

But even more amazing is the explanation: there is none, not as of yet.

According to the Associated Press, nearby Newark Airport reported no unusual flight patterns, and a National Weather Service meteorologist could find nothing in the weather to explain the lights.

Peaceful, Easy Feeling

"It's really amazing," said Veronica Bagley, whose family captured the lights on video.

Paulette Holmes said whatever it was, she was unafraid.

"I wasn't alarmed because it was peaceful," she said.

Yeah, the video of the UFOs isn't great, but you can get the idea...

Thanks Thermit that is pretty impressive stuff. Ours, theirs, or "them".
If it our or theirs (other country) this statement worries me:
Very peaceful, very serene, very beautiful," she said.""I think we witnessed some type of miracle."
I believe we have discussed a scenerio of TPTB using holographic images to conjure up a "miracle", getting the masses to think something Divine was taking place.......
"Sure you can meet him, just come into the fenced area, give us you name and valuables and take a shower".
If its "Them", some alien force then I have this to say,"Hey come get me, I wanna go".

These lights sound very similar to the pheonix lights....going out one by one....give it a few days and the 'army flares explanation' will surface.

This story actually made it on our local news late last night. Good point about the similarity to the Pheonix lights amber... when they were interviewing the eyewitnesses they all mentioned how the lights all "faded out" one by one.

They were talking about this on the local news here, too. Wonder if anybody got any really good footage. They will need more good video to be able to create a special on it, like the Phoenix lights...

Okay, opinions?

In your opinion was this our people flying advanced topsecret aircraft or was this our galactic neighbors saying "Hello, we're here...get ready for us...", or something else...

I think it could well be TPTS setting us up to think we are close to invasion to take the heat off of CT's for awhile. While I defiinately believe in UFO's this smacks more of our eveil empire at work.I wish it were UFO's...They'd be better than what we've got leading us right now.

Editor's Note: I had a long talk with Father Chubenko who is an excellent witness and was also trained as an electrical engineer. He estimated the lights were 400 to 500 yards apart and connected to the same object, since they did not change their relative position and brightened and dimmed together. It looked like a huge triangle of lights. I asked if the lights might be flares dropped from aircraft? He felt this was impossible because the lights brightened and dimmed in a synchronized operation. It was obvious all the lights were connected to the same object. Multiple witnesses also claim they do not believe these were parachute flares, blimps, or other similar phenomena.

I'm a total optimist with just a slight niggling of "operation blubeam"
Were the skies clear?

I think it was our space brothers and sisters saying hello...do not fear us...we come in peace.

Hey, I think you are right, Lulu...

I'm thinking that sightings like this one and Phoenix will slowly start to become more common. These mass sightings could be the prelude to mass contact, wouldn't that be interesting...

MUFUON seems to think these triangular craft are of terrestrial origin. I'm inclined to agree because these craft have yet to dipslay
any flight characteristics that would exclude this possibility... No ninety degree turns, no displays of extreme speed. Just kinda float around (and always at night) and freak a few locals out.

I hate to bust any "bubbles", hubby says I'm a good bubble-buster...while, maybe not bubbles exactly that he was mentioning...To the point, I used to live in that area of New Jersey. There have been many credible, good UFO sightings there. My dad and I watched a UFO through binoculars in 1952, when the famous White-house, D.C.flap took place and what we saw acted in anomalistic way...hovered long periods of time, than shot up higher at tremendous rate of speed, than hovered again for about half hour, than shot out of sight in seconds. I have witnessed a similar craft as the one described in the recent N.J. sighting...is not as large or just seems that way from my vantage point, have reported it to UFO center. Is large, hovers noiselessly, even communicates by turning and responding to my spotlight, which it did 5 times that one nite. Causes some EM effects, dogs howling, etc. tv, lights blinking, etc. I have many sightings I can describe and discuss in further detail but should move my comments to freeform so as not to block this up futher. Wanaque Resevoir, N.J> had credible, police, milirary, and thousands others site ufos displaying anomalistic behaviors many times. Point being, there are some "tricks" being played in those skies by TPTB, I believe, but aside from that, UFOs are real...not a belief system, like a Religion, for an investigator/researcher who has seen and heard much, it is fact...and they are not ALL our enemy. Love, Joanne
