The Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) System Demonstration Program is a joint Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)/U.S. Air Force/Boeing effort to demonstrate the technical feasibility, military utility, and operational value for a UCAV system to effectively and affordably prosecute 21st century lethal and non-lethal Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) and strike missions within the emerging global command and control architecture. The X-45A technology demonstrators are currently verifying the core functionality of the software necessary for these and related missions.
The UCAV program is focused on rapidly fielding a weapon system that integrates distributed adaptive control technology and robust communications with a next generation unmanned stealth platform.
UCAV will be a revolutionary force enabler for affordable 21st century airpower! http://www.darpa.mil/ucav/index.htm |

Intelligent Control of Mobility Systems.
By 2005, provide architectures and interface standards, performance test methods and data, and infrastructure technology needed by the U.S. manufacturing industry and government agencies in developing and applying intelligent control technology to mobility systems to reduce cost. http://www.science.gov/search-cgis/dexpldcgi?qry1312721615;5 |

The Unmanned Ground Combat Vehicle program will develop vehicle prototypes exhibiting advanced performance in endurance, obstacle negotiation, and transportability (small size) based on novel designs unrestrained by the need to accommodate human crews. These prototypes may include unique mobility configurations (traditional wheeled/tracked to organic-mimicking, i.e. walking/crawling), exceptional drivetrains, advanced structures/composites, terrain/soil analysis, sensory exploitation and interaction with robotic control architectures.

I'm glad they are wasting our money on this stupid s!@# when people are starving to death and can't afford medical insurance and are homeless...........I bet our social security money is going towards this.
For future reference, if i see one i will break it......i'm not answering to a freakin computer!!!! Arrest Me Then......... |

I hate to say this but all those black dots in those pictures you've been taking Snakelady could be some type of cloaked hover drones.... And they're not exactly visible to the naked eye... I'm sure if they were visible people might be shooting them out of the sky.. lol |

Backpack Drone Peers Behind Enemy Lines
A small two-stroke petrol engine drives the fan. This provides enough lift to get the craft off the ground and allow it to hover and move from side to side.

Toronto - Oct. 21, 2000
A hovering spy craft only 23 centimetres across could soon be flying behind enemy lines to conduct surveillance, or darting about inside buildings to help police find hostage-takers.
Micro Craft, an aerospace development company in San Diego, California, last week successfully tested the miniature vehicle. It consists of little more than a ducted fan that rotates inside a protective cylinder. The fan is pitched at an angle so that its wash counteracts the slight spin the fan imparts.
"It performed great. It's very stable," says programme manager Allen Zwan. Even in high winds, the 1.4-kilogram craft managed to take off, hover, and move around at slow and medium speeds.
A small two-stroke petrol engine drives the fan. This provides enough lift to get the craft off the ground and allow it to hover and move from side to side.
To travel at top speed, the vehicle turns sideways so that the fan points almost horizontally and the aerofoil-shaped edges of the duct provide lift. It can fly for about an hour on the 200 grams of fuel it carries.
The aircraft was developed with funding from the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The idea is that soldiers will carry the small, lightweight reconnaissance aircraft in their backpacks.
A remote controller tells the drone where to go and how fast to fly. On-board electronics keep the craft flying, adjusting the speed of the fan and the angle of the control vanes.
The test vehicle last week carried a video camera that transmitted images back to the ground. But it could also support communications relays, or even a laser that would "paint" a target with light to guide in missiles from larger craft.

OK, you may be right. Don't you think that would be really expensive for the government to make all of these? I mean they are EVERYWHERE and there is probably thousands if not millions of them.
It's funny i have been reading all this end of the world stuff and coming here to talk to you guy's, and when the end does come, none of us will be able to talk about it, LOL. I just read 3 more places that Dec 21st (my daughter's birthday....weird) 2012 is the end of the calendar that we follow, so everyone thinks that is the end of humans not the earth.
That's not to far off, then i read that 2005 is suppose to be the start of "the end".
Screw it.......i'm gonna smoke, eat and be merry!
If any of us do make it at the end, we should see if we can find each other some how. LOL |

Well... if the goverment wants money you know they can just print up more... ha! To be honest though I think those things belong to someone else...
Concerning the end of the world now... we could all just plan to meet at what ever is left of the Statue of Liberty!!!... Remember the movie Planet of the Apes? The version with Charleton Heston? I'm sure we'll be lucky if any of us survive. Though I'm hoping that the doomsayers are wrong and we see something really good come in the years ahead.
