New SCA forum and URL PostMon Jul 09, 2001 6:01 am  Reply with quote

I've received enough complaints regarding the network54 servers that I've decided to jump ship. The new URl for Seattle Chemtrail Alliance follows. The new forum can be accessed from the main page.

Those of you that have been reporting problems may wish to make sure this new software is an improvement before I delete the old site...

Thanks in advance!

We need to re-register at the new site?
Tried to use my name and password at the new site and was denied.

Uh...oh yeah. You have to, like, re-register and stuff.

Sorry I forgot to mention that one minor detail!

So, yeah. New server, new software. Instant messaging, I dont know how many chatrooms. Five or six, I believe.

Try it! It's a HUGE improvement over network54!

It looks good chem11, but all the topic areas are blank, even if there was/is suppose to be be a topic there. Maybe I'm missing something here?

Hmmm. Cookied need to be enabled, I know that. I was running ad-blocking software which seemed to screw things up until I properly configured it...

Hope that helps, LuLu.

When Coolboards closed shop, we went over to Aimoo too for our forum. We're having a great time. I hope you like your board as much as we do ours.

Chem 11... just got thru visiting your new site and enjoyed how fast it came up on my screen. That's really nice.

Just have a question here... I'm a bit confused. Do your guests have to pay a fee to register there? I pressed the join button and it asked information for an account number.

No, registration is free. If you like you can shell out $3 a month and get some relatively minor upgrades to your account, so I think that's what it was asking for.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the servers and software, Christy. Aimoo seems to have their act together.

Thanks for the reminder, Thermit!

Yes, thanks for the reminder Mark. I'll make the changes.

Chem, we paid 15 dollars for a SIX month period so that we get all tthe goodies like HTML and other features, for the entire board. No guest have to pay this way. We found it to be the best way, and for the forum owner, you can't beat the price!!

Christy, I'm curious... have you had any problems with disappearing threads? I've been archiving a few topics from my old board
and I just lost an entire thread. Poof. Just totally disappeared...

Hi Chem

No, I haven't lost any threads, but I have noticed twice this week Aimoo is down for hours on end and that really bothers me. It's down right this minute. If this unavailablity continues, we'll have to go to a paid site, cause I know not being able to log on when I want will drive me crazy.

Chem11 ~ Topic areas are still blank for me. I've got my zone alarm on high, perhaps this is why. You mentioned cookies being enabled, as far as I know mine are. How do I confirm this? I use IE with Windows 2000 installed.

Lulu,

That is weird.
I tried disabling cookies, didn't notice a difference for the listing...probably not ZoneAlarm...mystery to me...you could try Netscape...
