What an outrage .....
"While Mrs. Bush respects the right of all Americans to express their opinions," a spokeswoman said, "she, too, has opinions and believes it would be inappropriate to turn a literary event into a political forum."
Is her knowledge of poetry really that limited?

She'll now have some non-political readings:
"She Spot run....."
"Jack and Jill went up a hill....no wait, why was Jack the King, and why did Jill come tumbling AFTER"
and for George,
"The little goat that couldn't"
Laura Bush is frightened of real poetry and real people. Just like that Scorpian Eating Censorship Hag, Lynn Cheney. Again, unbalanced, tilted people forcing their views on America.
"To those inclined more to rigid-order mentality, art is a virus that needs to be stamped out, or, at the least, tightly controlled. When I hear the word culture, I reach for my revolver."
