At a place I worked once years ago, we all had to have photo identification as well as employee #'s. Mine happened to be 666, some people actually called me the devil and were even scared of me, solely for this reason. This was down south in a heavily Christian area. I was just beginning to overcome the shockwave of the "yankee" barrier too. Oh well... |

I’m surprised being down south that they didn’t change your I.D. number for superstitious reasons alone! And I know exactly what you mean about being called a Yankee! I moved from NJ to Greenville, SC – I lived there for 6 years. I never knew the expression Yankee was still so prominent, but I sure found out my second day in SC exactly what I was – sheesh! Don’t get me wrong, I loved it in SC and I miss my friends, but they will ALL gladly tell you that a Yankee just visits the south, but a damn Yankee is the one that stays. |

you all should know this about the passion. It is a film to bring protestans and catholics together in furthering the agenda of a one world religion. It is an illumnati film through and through. Jesus is appaled by it. It is an abdomination to God. It also breaks the second commandment...do not make graven images of your God. |

I’m not sure how this film is designed to bring those two religious groups together (I haven’t seen it yet) but from what I understand, you are correct that is it an Illuminati backed film and meant to promote the “Jesus suffered for your sins concept”. It promotes guilt. When I started reading the reviews of the film, I wondered why it only showed the suffering, the torture, the humiliation. Why not show the REAL passion behind Christ Spirit? Show the teaching of selfless love! Makes me wonder what we are being conditioned for. |

Couple arrested after 'Passion' fight
Thursday, March 18, 2004 Posted: 11:30 PM EST (0430 GMT)
STATESBORO, Georgia (AP) -- A couple who got into a dispute over a theological point after watching "The Passion of the Christ" were arrested after the argument turned violent.
The two left the movie theater debating whether God the Father in the Holy Trinity was human or symbolic, and the argument heated up when they got home, Melissa Davidson said.
"It was the dumbest thing we've ever done," she said.
Davidson, 34, and her husband, Sean Davidson, 33, were charged with simple battery on March 11 after the two called police on each other. They were released on $1,000 bail.
According to a police report, Melissa Davidson suffered injuries on her arm and face, while her husband had a scissors stab wound on his hand and his shirt was ripped off. He also allegedly punched a hole in a wall.
"Really, it was kind of a pitiful thing, to go to a movie like that and fight about it. I think they missed the point," said Gene McDaniel, chief sheriff's deputy.

I hope I don't give the impression of me being anti-Jesus or something. I just find it hard to believe that watching someone you strongly admire & respect or even love dearly being tortured and suffering would be enticing? |

Why do you watch war movies with people being blown up?
Answer: Some people want to try to understand the horrible realities of war.
So...
WHY do people want to see the Passion of the Christ? To try and understand the HORRORS of what the last days of Jesus the Christ must have been like.
This is a way for some to "bring the story to life".
I saw the movie.
Definately brought tears to my eyes.
I don't see how anyone couldn't after seeing it.
Saay what you want...but I think the movie is spot-on....and I don't even follow mainstream religion or the organized church. |

Mech, I choose to think of it this way. Lets say one of your valued family members died tragically. Would you want to watch a two hour reinactment of it just to understand what it might have been like? I doubt it. You would want some closure I'm sure. As far as war movies, I can't stand them personally, especially if history already explains the result. Many war veterans probably wish they could absolve themselves of the warlike images that haunt them in flashbacks. It's not entertainment as far as I'm concerned. |

And Mech, don't take what I say to heart. I have a close family member that feels the exact same way you do. I disagree with this person but yet we still co-exist peacefully. Hopefully you'll see it the same way. |

"Closure" doesn't exist. Nothing will ever bring back my friend who died of a rare cancer. Nothing will ever make that hurt go away....it will always be with me. The key is to learn to live with it.
I think the story of The christ needs to be told...and this TV gENERATION needs to wake up out of their comfortable slumber. Sometimes it takes a powerful story or a play to shift minds...history shows this.
To those who feel this movie is in bad taste...Don't see it.
I'm glad I did. |

A movie is no different than a song or a painting. One persons heaven is another's hell, it's all perception. There is no wrong or right answer here. I respect you Mech for standing stern in your beliefs and confronting me with genuine honesty. I would hope that you would respect my position as well. Who wants a ditto head, bobble head nodding in agreement always. We are not all xerox copies of one another, thank god! I'm truly sorry for your friend that passed. I won't press any further out of respect. This is how I feel, I see no reason to lie. |
