I don't see this thread at all in terms of the John Kerry thread. It has been exhilerating and stimulating to share our beliefs!
I appreciate your sharing yours, swamp! Obviously some people became extremely hostile and angry over on the Kerry Thread. I was not one of them. I've had my moments, yes, but that was not one of them!
I appreciate your honest and sincere sharing of your beliefs, swamp! We don't have to argue anything about beliefs and our cosmologies! Not at all! Our sharing our views is an opening and wonderful thing! If we find differences, so what? It's all OK!!! We are practicing tolerance and acceptance, openness and the best of plurality living! We are learning not to take differing views as attacks on our own very personhoods! We're being offered the opportunity to practice "not taking anything personally" when it comes to our values and beliefs! This is the heart of tolerance, the heart of keeping oneself healthy as we control our judgment and simply say "hey, look, that's what she thinks and values and that's what he thinks and values and how interesting and wonderfully rich it is! " Persuasion is another thing, but in the realms of spirituality, values, and beliefs, WE SHARE!
Please stay, Swamp!
We can share and create the mini world we want to create in a more broad sense, perhaps, than you might have previously conceived!
We're all coming together on this board for a reason and if you feel tugs and pulls, perhaps we should accept this tension and work through it for our mutual group benefit????
I don't know about all of you, but I love learning --- learning about others, learning about their lives, learning about myself and how I react, learning about the spiritual experiences and readings of others, learning all kinds of stimulating and wonderful things! "Getting to Know You" -- the song -- is always in my heart and I cannot help but be fascinated with each and every one of you! Swamp! I was so hurt when you attacked me because you thought I was attacking you as I tried to just express myself on things, shared, and was aware of it while I expressed. Yes I was expressing a different view to you, and this is what boards are all about -- expression -- and presenting the views of MANY paths -- not just one. It's not a place to convert people to a religious belief or a lifestyle belief -- it's a free and democratic kind of cafe for ALL of us. That's all. I wasn't attacking you. And then I experienced personal-level attacks and it felt so negative, so sad. I'm sorry if you felt attacked, but I sincerely was only expressing where I was coming from as we all live various versions of health. If you go back and read you'll see I was aware of your feelings and gave you space! I truly did! I liked your music, I liked you both, and I just reach out to people -- I'm no phonie. Please hear me, here on this spiritual thread. I mean this sincerely. I do wish you both great happiness.
Sending angels.......  even if you don't believe in them!!!
Now let's just keep sharing -- all of us! Shatoga, where are you? Let's get some sharing from you, too, and Kevin, Mech, and KNOW THIS and just each and every one of you!

JBE! Loved your sharing post and your various examples of our biological interconnectedness and our mind-body connection! It doesn't matter if I love it, but I do because it simply resonates with my truth. If I didn't know about these things -- I would find them extremely interesting and want to know more!

My privacy is important to me. Maybe you're some kind of voyeur? It's not because of fear. Not everything is meant to be shared openly in graphic detail. Do you tell everyone every aspect of your personal life? If so, do you assume that everyone even cares? I'm not hiding at all from anyone here, that's nonsense! I mentioned as much detail about my experiences as I deemed appropriate for the discussion. That's not for anyone else to decide but ME! |
