What are peoples thoughts on the zetas' chemtrail informatio PostSun Aug 19, 2001 10:25 pm  Reply with quote

Just thought I'd pop in to put this one on the table (probably been done to death already). Call me crazy, but I'm startin' to believe it. The whole 2003 pole shift scenario......take some real time read the WHOLE site (www.zetatalk.com).

Would explain all of the craziness now being displayed by world governments, and ruling elite.

NOW....if her information is all bull-s***, then I have to say she's a genious.

No question in my mind -- the woman's a genius! Think about it: she appears on talk shows, writes books, runs some "non-profit" organizations, gets a lot of money from a lot of sources, and has more than a few devotees that actually buy (literally) what she says. That sounds pretty smart to me.

Of course, her facts are total garbage. It's obvious she's never taken a single geology course in her life, her math is wrong, and her postulates of "zetas", "pole shifts", etc. are so far from reality it reminds me of my days back in the middle sixties when I was regularly ingesting strange compounds.

But so what? None of her audience has any training in science, reason, research, common sense, etc. either! And that's "Nancy's" genius: She has found the original sheeple-shed and is fleecing those lambs for all she's worth (which is probably a lot, by now)!

Very interesting....the sad truth is....it is growing increasingly difficult to believe just about anything these days. Pretty soon one finds oneself questioning reality itself. Still, the info at 'zetatalk' is worth a look (in my opinion).

I read some of the site, and man, that is laugh out loud funny. Made my day.. I agree with Duncan, she's a "genius".

I have a hard time understanding why people are so concerned about an impending pole shift. Ever since magnetic north was discovered in 1831, the average position of magnetic north has moved about 10 kilometers per year. That is, the location of magnetic north is already not a fixed location. In fact, the actual position of magnetic north can vary by as much as 80 kilometers during a single day.

As far as a switch between north and south magnetic poles, according to this source ( http://education.magnet.fsu.edu/maglabalpha/html/print/html/explorations/polereversa l.html ), "the Earth's magnetic poles have switched several times throughout geologic history as is indicated by magnetic stripes on the ocean floor....The actual reversal takes place relatively quickly (1000 years) once the process begins, although the entire process can take on the average of 500,000 years."

If this process takes 1000 years, why is everybody afraid of it? If you've ever used a compass, you know the earth's magnetic field isn't particularly strong. And even when the poles eventually switch, it should be relatively trivial for people to remember that the north pole of today's compasses is actually pointing south.

My colleague Ms. 3T3L1 has a good citation; however, there is a small -- but historically significant -- error there. The explanation includes the sentence

"Each time there is an eruption, new layers of basalts are laid down on the ocean floor resulting in stripes that represent the direction of present-day field lines"

Actually, the layers of mafic rock (basalt, in this case) are laid down more-or-less continually, based not on eruptions as we think of them, but a more mild "oozing out" of magmatic material due to the movement of divergent tectonic plates (North American / Eurasian and North American / African) along the Atlantic Ridge. Indeed, it was the presence of the alternatively-magnetized basalt that provided the "smoking gun" evidence for the validity of the tectonic plate theory back in the late 1960's / early 1970's.

An excellent overview of plate tectonic theory, including the fascinating pole shifts to which Ms. 3T3L1 alludes, can be found at http://volcano.und.nodak.edu/vwdocs/vwlessons/plate_tectonics/introduction.html

Regards,

3T3, if you check out the Zeta information they are predicting a very sudden pole shift, as opposed to the pole drift you are thinking of. They predict that in May 2003 it will happen and most will die. Although they have a great deal of fascinating information, I wouldn't trust a Zeta farther than I could throw a probe, probably less...
