WHOA!!!!!,First thing i have to say, TURN OFF THE FRIGGIN TV Julian. Second thing,Call a pediatrician and talk with one of the doctors about a 12 yr old on a ritalin withdrawl,It aint a pretty sight as you might assume seeing how you seem to think it would be any easier then a heroin withdrawl.Try to explain to a small kid why he sees spiders or bugs crawling all over him,Try to calm his nerves as he hears voices in his head telling him terrible things. Now the poor kids clinically insane and for what?? Because he had ADD or ADHD and the parents couldnt handle it.

Maybe, just maybe julian,You could do a little good for some poor soul hooked on crack or heroin, drop your one sided view and go help someone instead of avoiding them at all costs. Its obvious by your responses to swamp in third person you'd go completely out of you way to avoid a percieved drug user.Get a life man drop the TV out your window. stop believing everything the media tells you, It shows in several of your posts that you do .I agree with a few things you post but some border on paranoia. It just goes to show this country has never been more divided,America will always be stuck in a rut if we cant drop what we believe for a minute to help another person in need.

CDsNutz,

Glad you brought this up. I have seen alcohol destroy people's lives. My cousin and a friend both had strokes after they drank 5-10 cups of coffee with Aspartame. Cigarettes kill 400,000 people every year. An Uncle poured gasoline over himself and commited suicide after Prozac withdrawl.

Marijuana and Peyote (which seem to be what that guy from West Caldwell thinks is the same as Heroin) has never killed anyone. ZERO.

The Inquisitors burned pagans and Witches who used to use mushrooms and ergot. The Inquisitors used alcohol, used to pour it over pagans, and then light them on fire.

Seems like the legal drugs are a lot worse on society than the Spirit Molecules.

Until logical and technical discussions happen on the psychological and physiological effects of drugs, both legal and illegal, we have have hysteria governing people's opinions. Abuse of any drug (caffeine, alcohol, painkillers, marijuana, LSD, Psilocybin, DMT, Peyote, Ecstasy, Nicotine, Heroin, Speed, Cocaine) is terrible. Some worse than others. There are volumes of experiences and information on plants and drugs that increase intelligence, heal diseases, and otherwise help humans. When people lump euphoriants and medicine into a "Legal vs Illegal" category, they completely miss the fact that government and orthodox medicine DO NOT always have the answers to this perplexing dichotomy. The drug Hydergine was an offshoot of LSD research, and Hydergine is the ONLY drug or plant that actually helps grow new neurons. With correct use, drugs and plants can enhance life, rather than destroy it.

For the record, since I was slandered and falsely accused of something from a CTC member, I DO NOT advocate taking any drugs, including alcohol. I look at this from a Libertarian Point of View. The government should not step into the middle of something that is medical and/or spiritual in nature. I would love to see the criminal element taken out of drug and plant use, and put into doctors and healers hands, and give the police more time to fight real crime.

quote:
The most common evidentiary bust of the medieval Inquisition was the possession of prohibited substances, “witches’ medicines.” “Possession” was de facto proof of the ancient shamanic midwifery. The common phrase “addiction to witchcraft,” found throughout Malleus Maleficarum’s original 1484 Latin text, meant “addiction to drugs,” and, as today, simple possession was proof of “addiction.” The word “addiction,” by the way, appears originally in Western culture as a Roman legal term describing someone as a slave: “Justin, addicted to the honorable Plautus, is hereby sentenced to crucifixion for the crime of high treason, escape.
