Dear sirs:
As important as it is to oppose the foul and malignant, it is just as valuable to be able to recognize them, when you see them.
It comes as no surprise that a fundamental tenet of the Bush Administration's machinations in Iraq, in the recent past, has been the holding of something that is going to be passed off as an "election" on January 31, 2005. There are no real signs of party consolidation, platforms or effective, wholesale campaigning. Reports of insurgent activity supposedly aimed at "disrupting" the "election process" are proceeding without let-up. Indeed, the "routing" of "terrorist elements" in Fallujah seemed deliberately enacted to scatter militant groups there, so they could spread their actions far and wide! And the general sense in the country seems still to be one of utter antipathy to the "invaders" and "Crusaders", so much so that anything stamped with the Bush imprimatur seems guaranteed not to engender any significant support. Political figures and religious leaders across the country emphasize the need to postpone the election until more surety is provided, in terms of insurgent actions, and until a more stable political climate can be created. Yet the Oval Office continues the pressure, insisting that the vote must take place by January 30!
No two ways about it!
You begin to wonder, just whose country is this, anyway? The purpose of the invasion of Iraq was - in the apparently highly questionable word of the administration! - supposedly to "restore control of the country to its people"! Yet, even as whole hordes of public from one end of Iraq to another insist on the need to delay an election, the final say is being vested in the resident of the White House! The Iraqis say they need more time; Bush says, essentially, it'll be held January 31, or never!
After all, don't the Iraqis realize their country now belongs to Halliburton? Since when do they have a say in its running?
In the end, if only three specially chosen and Oval Office approved people, ensconced in safety on an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf, cast their vote, it seems the administration is determined to call that a "valid election", then proceed with their already pre-determined plans for the country, claiming them to have been validated by that "mandate"!
And that seems the fundamental reason for the insistence on the "election" on January 31, namely, to provide "vindication" for a massive military project that the United States seems to be planning in the weeks, even days, immediately following that date! No sooner than the ink is dry on the ballots, it seems, the Bush regime seems to plan to stage an all-out massive bloodbath, through Iraq, to remind the people, through intimidation and death if necessary, that they are nothing more than slaves of Dick Cheney, and they'd better not think otherwise!
The administration, apparently, hasn’t even felt the need to be secret about this impending carnage!
The record of attacks by insurgents has mounted dramatically, in the months leading up to the apparently Bush mandate “election”, with dozens of people killed during the weekend of December 4 to December 5 alone! Yet the Bush White House is bloodlessly unfazed! Even though postponing the “election” can represent a wholesale diminishing in fatalities for Iraqis, the Oval Office still will not countenance it!
This is fully in keeping, with the Bush Administration’s evident attitude toward the lives of the Iraqis, as a whole! They never show anyone like sympathy for the Iraqis killed due to American policy there! It’s never American policy and machinations that are at fault; it’s always laid at the feet of those opposing the evident attempted theft of the country for Bush’s cronies! It’s not Bush’s fault, by staging an unethical, immoral and, apparently, even illegal destruction of a country, to steal it’s resources; it’s the fault of those who have the audacity to fight back, to keep their country from becoming a slave-state, owned by Halliburton! Whenever insurgents and apparent Iraqi patriots would stage attacks against “the Crusaders”, the White House would only respond by using the attacks as “proof of the contempt for life by the ‘terrorists’”! At no time did the White House say, “This is awful, and we have to make it stop, even if it means meeting with the insurgents!” They never expressed concern or pity for the Iraqis who were caught up in the violence! They viewed each new attack as just more propaganda fodder, for their pro-invasion machine! The lives of Iraqis evidently meant nothing to the Oval Office, except as a tally to give the impression that the “terrorists” were as bad as the administration desperately needs the public to believe they are! But the welfare of the Iraqi people apparently never meant enough to the Bush Administration for them to do what was needed to stop the attacks!
The very fact that the attacks never ended and even increased is clear evidence that the administration ignored all the correct and necessary moves in addressing the situation!
But, since the Bush White House seems to have a plan in mind for all-out, wholesale bloodshed and slaughter in the country, once the evident sham of an "election” is over, why should they worry about the Iraqis who are killed in the apparently carefully orchestrated lead-up to that American-led reign of terror?
They waited until after the November "election" in America to launch the program in Fallujah, which was evidently intended to scatter insurgent groups, so the administration could claim an excuse to blanket the entire nation with blood! Timing their operations until after important - and impressionable - events are over seems a maintstay of the administration, especially since their entire idea of "policy" seems to be brutal, bloodthirsty displays of un-American barbarism, for the purpose of enriching only a cruel, unprincipled few!
And, don't forget, despite assurances that "there are enough soldiers in Iraq", the administration just arranged to send another 15,000 troops to the country!
The administration doesn't even seem interested in trying to hide the fact that they will subject Iraq to massive destruction and death, even of innocents! Acting purportedly at the behest of a collection of craven quislings they will claim to have been "chosen by the people", they will, apparently, then proceed to turn all of Iraq into one huge mausoleum!
Just because those in government - Democrats, Greens, Independents, Populists, Republicans - may all be content with lying to the public, and withholding truth, doesn’t mean the populace have to be content with it! First, don't give them the satisfaction of being surprised when, during the first hours of February 1, a wholesale operation to obliterate the last vestiges of freedom in Iraq is launched! But go beyond that, by never believing a single word any politician - from town level, to state, to federal level! - says! Show your dissatisfaction by writing letters to the editor; by posting condemnations on bulletin boards, wherever you can; by talking everyone you can out of joining the street gang that the Oval Office calls a "military"; and by denying your patronage to all the businesses that have even a marginal connection to any political figure!
Most importantly, though, the people have to keep involved, deeply, in the workings of government around them, so that they can always alert everyone else, when signs of corruption and connivery again surface!

Dear sirs:
Decency and righteousness tend to be all-inclusiveness. They permeate every aspect of the actions of those who follow them. By the same token, malignance and ignobility are the common thread of those who act corruptly. There are few, if any, cases of those acting for decent goals, who utilize foul means; likewise, those who pursue the trenchant do not have any record of acting genuinely nobly at any point. As their perception of safety in their fraud grows, the criminal and corrupt tend to grow careless about hiding their unscrupulousness. An increasing thread of revelation of callousness and deceit in a plan demonstrates the presence of underhandedness from the start.
A commonplace in the history of the American invasion of Iraq seems to have been a constant attitude of lowering expectations. Every aspect of the armed ousting of that country's government, and military occupation of its residents homes and streets always began with apparently calculatedly misleading optimism, only to be overwritten by realities far bleaker and more horrendous. And, in the background, the constant warnings of danger being studiously ignored by the public, only later to be credited as valid. The banner "Mission Accomplished" at the end of official aggressions in the country, followed by the realization that evidently less than 1% of the combat in Iraq had been finished by that time, has become a watchword for the invasion! The administration's evidently desperate attempt to tar the CIA with the blame for their claims about mass weapon systems in the country have not succeeded in defraying the general sense that the Oval Office swindled the country as a whole, in their apparent attempt to steal the resources of another nation! The perception that "the people would be eager to embrace democracy, the second it was offered" has transformed into evident bald-faced lies about "the transition to democracy in the United States being 'messy'", as an apparent craven attempt to explain away Iraq's descent into lawlessness and mass murder, in the wake of the America's destruction of its government! The assertion that "the people would greet American soldiers with open arms", frankly, seems to have swayed a lot of those dull-witted enough to buy the administration's lame-brained claims about Hussein's possessing powerful weapons; they are realizing the truth of how the Iraqis evidently despise them, and Bush won't let them come home, to get out of the way of that anger! The incursion into Fallujah was supposed to "break the back of the insurgency", but, now, the military are saying they only resulted in scattering them throughout the country!
And, for all that the administration insisted that Hussein was an unquestionable bloody tyrant, guilty of mass crimes, they are taking a suspiciously long time to put a case together against him! They are running out of excuses for their failure to prosecute him! They are saying, for example, that witnesses are afraid of repercussions by Ba'athists still free, but it is always possible to provide a kind of "witness protection" in another country, for them. Yet they still seem incapable of getting anyone to testify against Hussein, and, all the while, they seem to be getting closer and closer to the revelation that it was Kurdish extremists in the American warplane protected north who were guilty of the mass graves found there! The graves, after all, do seem to date from the period when U.S. fighter jets prevented any government action in the north of the country!
The next item on the evident menu of lies being served up by the White House has to do with the absolute "necessity" of elections being held by the end of January 2005, on January 30, 2005, to be exact. The Oval Office went from applauding the concept to, now, insisting that they "have to" be held on that date! No two ways about it!
Meanwhile, political parties don't seem to have had enough time to form, much less develop a platform and campaign! Questions about balloting don't seem any more resolved than in the U.S. The issue is constantly brought up about presumed attempts by insurgents - only the evident die-hard liars in the administration seem to use the word "terrorists", anymore! - to derail the elections. And it seems the mass majority of the populace refuse to believe that the results will be true, and that whoever gets into government will be anything but a puppet of Halliburton!
For these reasons, the public of the country have all spoken out, generally advocating postponing the election. But the evident Oval Office parrots in power now have all refused, and Bush, himself literally insists that they go through with it! It's the Iraqis' country - at least the apparent deceit the administration is trundling says it's supposed to be! - but it's George W. Bush who's calling the shots! By and large, the Iraqis want to wait, until they're better prepared, but where did they get the insane notion that they have any say? They're only the public! Don't they realize, the American way of doing things is the rich tell the poor what to do, and the poor had better just content themselves with that? They're just the "beasts of burden"! They're the ones being killed by the score, in the lead-up to this evident farce masquerading as an "election", and that's supposed to entitle them to a say, too, in what path they choose, but since when do the "beasts'" lives matter? The rich are the only ones who matter to George W. Bush, it appears, and they have their own plans in mind!
And those plans seem to include "elections" being finished by the end of January 2005!
The evident delusion the Oval Office is selling is that having the elections as planned - as the White House planned, not the Iraqis! - would be a symbol of their "choosing democracy over 'terrorism'", It appears that Bush is one of the die-hard liars who still uses that term! And yet, if it's not the Iraqis but Herr Bush who decides when the election is held, where is the freedom, where is the independence, where is the democracy? Part of what the Oval Office is trying to peddle is the idea of the Iraqis getting to "think for themselves"! If that was truly the case, they would let their choice now, about postponing the "election" be sacrosanct! The fact is, the administration seems intent on establishing a case for declaring the Iraqis "incapable of making decisions of their own", in the wake of which, the White House appears to plan to order perpetual military occupation of the country, and the establishing of a puppet dictatorship, answerable to Halliburton alone!
This seems the reason for requiring the apparent fraud to be called "an election" to be finished by the end of January! The administration seems to have plans in mind for a wholesale bloody take-over of the country, placing it under the strictest possible martial law! They have already ordered another 15,000 troops on the line - even though they kept claiming "they had enough men there, already" - and there seems no reason not to expect more! It appears they intend the streets to run red with blood, until everyone in Iraq with the slightest sense of dignity, or a wish for the Iraqis to be free of Halliburton's iron grip, is eradicated!
Oh, and don't expect the UN to come to the aid of the Iraqis; Kofi Annan more than able demonstrated the fact that that nest of vipers never was and never will be anything more than just another avenue to obscene riches for the unprincipled and avaricious!
The quisling "compromise" of admitting the truth when it's not possible to hide the filth any longer, is now beginning to affect the issue of the "elections", as well! On the Monday, December 6, 2004 edition of Wolf Blitzer Reports, on CNN, Senator "Chuck" Hagel of Nebraska effectively telegraphed the administration's craven insincerity and duplicity, as well as the fact that the "elections" will be rigged!
"We have to be careful", Hagel said, "that we don't strangle the possible success of these elections by holding them to too high a standard"!
"Too high a standard"? In general, the only ones to complain about "too high a standard" in a process are those who intend to carry it out with utmost unethicality, and their "definition" of an "equitable standrd" is one in which they, themselves, alone get whatever they want! And everybody else gets stuck with the bill! As with all the rest of the apparent deliberately false promises, the idea of "elections" in Iraq seems to be having its veneer of lies shredded and the foul, Godless, Oval Office truth of the matter come out! Unless they are held to a "high standard", they do not qualify as "elections"! Any "electoral" process that does not comply with the highest standards cannot, honorably, be defined as an election! The fact that Hagel, along with the administration, and the spineless crumbs apparently calling themselves Democrats, seem willing to subject the process in Iraq to only low "standards" is tacit admission that they don't intend it to be a legitimate election at all!
An illegitimate election; the ensconcing of a criminal and corrupt puppet government; and the unleashing of a wholesale bloodbath, to purge Iraq of the last shreds of hope for freedom! That seems the administration's plan for the country!
But, if politicos see fit to lie to the public, the people are not required to accept it! They can refuse to cooperate in the evident rape of decency and righteousness that seems the only goal of government, these days! Among other things, the populace can shed the perception, so carefully tended the past few decades, that, "if it involves someone else, it shouldn't matter to you!" This is the "sentiment" upon which CIA infiltration, corruption destabilizing and perversion of foreign governments and cultures that led to the general disgust for the United States overseas! The administration works desperately at inculcating the notion that foreigners "hate the United States" because they're inherently evil, or just plain stupid! "Can't they see that, when we overthrew their legally recognized government, and installed a Wall Street puppet, who allowed the theft of land from the people, that we were doing them a favor?" Today, just uttering the phrase "American interests" seems sufficient to get many to shut up immediately about CIA backed atrocities, armies and death squads! Yet, "American interests" have never translated into anything other than making the environment right for corporate corruption and wholesale rape of the native population! God counsels that we are supposed to be our brother's keeper, yet the attitude of the supposedly "God-fearing" Republican regimes of the past half century at least has been a steady defiance of this edict! They constantly robbed from the poor and the middle class and only claimed cravenly that it was "for their own good"! But the Republicans have, apparently, never cared about the welfare of others, and, to simplify their evident ambitious goal of complete domination of the world's populations, they seem to have set about getting whole groups of equally quisling public to adopt the same notion! If Bush can act this way, there is absolutely no evidence he is anything other than a "God hater"!

The people have to accept that the welfare of others is supposed to be part of their philosophy! And that means looking into the "terrorists'" statements, too, not just brushing them off as being of no merit, indeed, deserving of annihilation, simply because they disagree with you wanting to rob them of their rights and property!
The people should refuse to accept anything the government says, since it all seems geared at defrauding the public into thinking that the Oval Office isn't acting cravenly, and solely for personal gain! They will grab as much as they can, instill hatred of America in the hearts of Iraqis, then leave it to the "rank and file" to bear the brunt of the antipathy that those in government have engendered!
And don't trust the Democrats, or the Greens, or the Naderites, or the Independents, or the Populists, because they could have made these claims, and made warnings, but, like the greedy swine they all apparently are, they did nothing!
And the people have to show their dissatisfaction. They must not vote in any election, since they are apparently all rigged, to put "the right person" into a position to hand out lucrative contracts to corporate cronies! They must register their distaste for political criminalities through letters to the editor! They must also refuse money to every politician and businessman, by not making any donations or political contributions, and cutting back on all expenditures! A large part of all financial difficulties is people paying through the nose for non-essentials! You can save money by eating at home, not in a restaurant! You can make things better for yourself by keeping your car repaired and maintained, and not buying a new one, every couple of years! You can improve your finances by making where you live a good place to be, and not going away on expensive vacations, all the time! You can deny money to the apparent garbage in big business by making your own clothes, doing most of the repairs around your house, growing your own food. You can prevent theft of your funds by doing every transaction in cash, to avoid the plethora of schemes banks have around apparently intended to rob you for using credit cards, debit cards or checks! You can save yourself your money and your health by refusing the believe the evident torrent of lies that passes itself off as "medical knowledge"! It is no stretch to imagine that everyone can keep $50.00 to $200.00 a month from the hands of those who covet it more than God's grace! Spread over the entire country, it can be up to $250 billion a year, prevented from being used to make the rich richer, and make the poor and middle class pay the freight!
It is the perpetrator's sin to commit criminality; it is the province of their intended victim, whether or not they will sit still for it!
