peoples park was a war zone
and riot gas rolled toward the bay

and "change' was like
a "proscribed burn"

left the house on grove, moved to the upper haight
above a bakery, just before the tunnel
greatful dead ran their place down the street
but i never went there
but i often heard them play
parnassess
in the park on a flatbed trailer
swinging from a tree
got home by dark thirty most times
what was the question?
