Hey Larry, super article,
that was quite informative, and though we can possibly surmise the real data had to be 'sugar coated' a bit for Sheeple consumption, all in all it was quite telling. The important opinion expressed (my interpretation de-Sheepleized) is that these aerosol application programs do not seem to be working as hoped to bring temperatures down. (Some quotes and ME edits) It is always funny in these 'stories' how only 'models' are mentioned and of course the daily testing and applications going on over the heads of millions is never mentioned.
"For the past decade, some scientists have thought that small air-polluting particles produced by the burning of fossil fuels (from planes using enhanced fuel- ME) and then sucked into clouds ( often distributed at 30k to 50K ft-ME) acted as seeds for new cloud particles...."
"The cooling effect (shades of Teller, etc.-ME) was thought to be strong enough to cancel the contribution of atmospheric warming from increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere."....
"Our findings indeed indicate that aerosol pollution (ie *chemtrailing*-ME) will not save us from greenhouse warming to the extent that has been widely thought by the general climate community" (ie, industry/gov. et al-ME)
"A big surprise came when the model, in one case, cranked out a relatively dry cloud despite an increase in aerosols"...(chemtrails acted by and on precip., artifically created dry clouds not as effective at bouncing radiation?-ME)
"....the process that results in relatively dried out, polluted clouds that are less effective at offsetting global warming."
So something to consider here is that the more of these manufactured aerosol clouds that 'we' put out the more natural clouds may be disappearing, (not to mention how much additional C02 'chemplanes' must be also producing) and so the overall effect is clouds that are really 'dead' and not nearly as effective (apparently) as their 'natural' counterparts, that they may have well DISPLACED.

It really amazes me that this is going on right above everyones head, i think people here in DFW are so used to skys full of planes and these trails that they dont even register as somethign unatural.
A wise man once said...
"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."
-Mark Twain
I know EXACTLY what he meant now. |

So what I have to wonder is if these 'man-made' clouds are not truly lessening' global warming' then why not. Too big a problem? Not enough aerosol applied? The article seems to indicate one reason is they cannot contain as much moisture so are 'not as effective' as say 'natural' moisture laden clouds at reflecting the sun. But does that theory 'hold water'
It can be easily observed and felt personally by any onlooker that after these planes come out and within perhaps a few hours coat the sky with the 'sky shield' material and then suddenly all leave, that it DOES cool down often significantly. And often this is over whole groups of states (as witnessed by satellite). So at least this cools areas locally and perhaps regionally. And one MIGHT assume like a 'lattice' even though it doesn't shade the WHOLE area it still would seem to produce a temperature lowering effect. So what is the problem?
I suspect it may simply be that with each country (participating) they may only be concerned about covering their own ass (geographically speaking) and this may simply be not enough to impact things on a whole earth scale.
Any thoughts from anyone in general (more up on climatology than I) on how these 'aerosol dispersions' might either advance or retreat 'global warming'?
