Since the 40s, there has been some sort of control technology used by Nazis and the CIA (aren't they the same?) organization. Like true Science Fiction , we must prevent the future. The worst case scenerio for implantable chips is mind control.
As a side note, the pictures Thetaloops and I posted from the 1953 movie, "Invaders From Mars", were thought of as far-out back then (I remember the atmosphere in the 50s very well). However, the director William Cameron Menzies, who did the stage sets for Metropolis and Gone With the Wind, was investigated as a communist after the movie was released. Also, another sci-fi director, Ivan Tors, who created the ground breaking "Science Fiction Theater" in 1955, was also investigated. Tors used to have shows about Microwave Weapons, Weather Control, Implants, Nazis in the government, etc. It was like the 2000 series "invisible Man". this was the #1 show on SciFi Channel for it's two year run. All of a sudden, it disappears. I saw an interview with the stars, and they were perplexed. One of the main themes of the show was how insane and crooked the CIA and FBI are. That's why crap like Stargate and Battlestar Galactica are popular. It toes the government's militaristic line.
