What Browser do you use? PostSun Apr 03, 2005 7:36 pm  Reply with quote

I've been using FireFox more lately, but realized that the left-hand navigation doesn't look too good in it. Will have to look at that, but what about you?

I like FF too.

IE tries to take over my box occasionally, etc.

But things do appear a tad different tween the two at times.

Well I've imported Foxfire, been using it since yesterday afternoon.
Or should I say trying to use it.
No faster than IE, computer freezes up and/or runs very slow. FF and IE seem to be in conflict with each other. Am I a happy camper? NO!

When browsing between sites the screen and curser freeze up, nothing goes anywhere. lasts from several seconds to minutes.
When typing this message, machine froze up for several seconds.
Have scanned for virus, nada, scanned for spybots, nada.

I'm going to delete anything having to do with foxfire...

I would advise anyone wanting to download FF and replace IE to be VERY cautious. My computer is totally corrupted and damn near unuseable. Can't get rid of FF. When I sent all of FF files to the recycle bin, nothing worked, not IE or any of my other programs. I had to restore the files to log on and make this post. What trash!
Even when it works it is slow, computer freezes between sites when browsing,
Browser bar is huge, taking up more screen space than IE by far and seems not to have any means of making it smaller

Even while making this post the computer froze up three times!!!

Yes at this site: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

I suppose it could be a wetware problem??

I'm going to try a couple of things to fix it, if that does not work, I guess I'll have to reformatt my harddrive. Can't save much in the way of files though, my CDRW took a dump as well a couple of weeks ago.
Golly gee ain't we a have'n fun Smile
