Defender
I fight with that wolf too, but we
can seek truth and justice
without feeding the beast.
The story kind of reminds me of
RTW and a post by Delphi.
I wish them well. |

The rest of the story:
The doxycycline was making my husband sick. He found out that the blood test for anthrax isn't reliable, and the nasal swabs require that the bug actually be grown out in culture. So he didn't know if he should take a chance and discontinue the doxycycline.
By then he had the heavily-irradiated and sterile letter back from the security people. He called the pharmacy-related company in Maryland which had sent the letter. He found out that the hand lettering was actually done by computer. The company does that, omits the return address and uses regular stamps to increase the chances that busy doctors will open their advertising rather than fling it directly into the trash. They've done it that way for 10 years.
Then came the anthrax problem. The company has received thousands of telephone calls and has seen the light. So hubby doesn't have anthrax, and it was all a false alarm. Whew!
In case you're wondering, I've deleted hubby's name from the address. What remains is that of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. |
