Weird.
I didn't find it funny at all...
It's plain scary.
AJ seemed to be enjoying the part the Evil One.

Nahhh.
I didnt get that feeling at all.
I think he wants to lighten things up a bit.
For the past 8 months hes been going balls-to-the-wall.
I think its cool he is trying an attempt at humor mixed with a serious topic.
But whatever. |

Oh, I agree with the fact he is trying to lighten things up a bit. I understand the approach also.
But if you had never heard of Alex Jones and saw that footage of him as Vader (with bad sound), you'd most likely think this guy is in his Mom's basement playing games...
I still love Alex but he seemed like such a computer geek to me _________________ Paradigms of Vigilance. |

I think Alex is using humor and scariness to it's logical marriage.
Look at a movie like "Dr Strangelove". One of the most frightening themes that still haunts society today, Nuclear Bombs.
Done as a complete Dark Comedy.
This is what Noble Gas is doing with it's Bizarro News series, and bands like Negativland. Using satire to make the point
Anyway, good job, Alex!! _________________ Heard it from a pilot who spoke real gooooood! |

I can see the pain in the mans face in the interview..
He's fighting a battle that is almost impossible to win.
Alex wants to reach as many audiences as possible, nothing more. |

I didn't find it funny (humorous) and neither did I find it an attempt to "lighten things up". I found it tacky, and a lame, caricaturish attempt to get more people to "wake up and listen" by repeated, sarcastic/satirical references to his own Infowars and Prison Planet web sites.
Imo, Alex should stick to serious reporting. He's a bad actor and it leaves a stupid taste. Honestly, I'd think that if anything, this would turn people off, particularly newcomers to his sites. I mean how could you take seriously someone who acts like such an amateur?
Jones should do what he does best and leave the farce and satire to good actors. _________________ I despise mendacity! |

Give Alex a break!
Humor is the next logical step in intelligence. Without humor, there is paranoia.
I always liked Tim Leary's statement

It's like people who can't see the humor in the Three Stooges, and see them as just a bunch of dopes hitting each other.
Then when you see that they were the first comedians to take on the Nazis in 1939, BEFORE Charlie Chaplin, and while the USA was till supporting Hitler, you see they were very serious about the message.
There was a reason why the Russians banned Comedy clubs and Frank Zappa, and DEVO during the 70's and 80s. _________________ Heard it from a pilot who spoke real gooooood! |
