Although this article was written in 2002, it is entirely relevant worldwide today, as massive areas of the planet are presently undergoing abnormal drought conditions. Unfortunately, there is presently a huge dis-information campaign presently taking place consisting of outright lying, deceiving, and the spreading of misleading information all for one purpose... that of attempting to convince us of the exact opposite... that chemtrails do not cause droughts. The truth of the matter is... CHEMTRAILS ARE CAUSING DROUGHTS... and on a massive planetary scale... and there is most likely some pretty serious hardball politics going on behind the scenes of this huge scam/cover-up to keep large areas of our planet dry, and large sums of money in the coffers of the few. Absolute and total control of our worldwide precipitation, and ultimately our worldwide supply of fresh water, is just one more step in the direction of a totally fascist, one world government. The logic is simple... if you want to control the planet and everyone on it..., it is important that you control the worlds's fresh water supply! Drought is becoming widespread throughout the United States and in other parts of the world. Adverse events of all types are increasing. Evidence leads us to the conclusion that all is not coincidence. It appears that corporations and certain factions of the government are playing a large role in the creation and coverup of many of these adverse events.
This is supposed to be an article on drought and it's possible causes and what we can do to hopefully turn it all around. However, I feel it is important to share with you some brief insights I've gained from others, which are vital in overcoming the current desperate situation of our world.
Citizens understandably want to know why their government and or certain corporations would want to perhaps cause a drought, crash the economy, keep us in a perpetual state of war, take away many of our rights, create diseases in order to profit from treatments (instead of cures) or damage the environment in other ways that would also eventually affect the perpetrators and their own families. These are not easy questions to answer especially for those of us who can not comprehend this destructive, power hungry mindset that seems so alien and nonsensical.
Fear, greed, hate and a hunger for power are some of the motives behind many of these negative actions. We need to understand these basic causes of disharmony in our world and do our best not to feed into it ourselves. We must not react with those same qualities, which will only increase the negativity.
We do need to uncover and expose the evil but then we need to respond with Firmness, Wisdom, Understanding and Love. To some of you this statement may sound whimpy but the reality is that Spiritual Love is the most powerful force in the universe.
I have been observing the chemtrail phenomenon for a couple of years now, here in the northeast. There obviously appears to be more than one purpose for the spraying but we will concentrate on the weather modification aspect.
According to the mainstream media, the drought in the northeast began in the fall of 2001. I have been observing the sky every day since I saw my first chemtrails in 1999 and have begun to notice a basic or general pattern of spraying. The pattern is sometimes altered by several days of cloud cover but usually you can pretty much count on the following. One to two days before a front is scheduled to pass through, heavy spraying will occur.
Total cloud cover is often the obvious goal. When the front arrives , one will many times hear low flying jets above the cloud cover. We end up recieving absolutely no rain (even though predicted) or a very negligable amount. When the clouds break up, the air will usually have a definite opaque white cast to it, unlike the more transparent quality of fog. Many chemtrail investigators have evidence that barium salts make up part of the mixture being emitted from these jets. Barium is a dessicant and absorbs moisture. The barium and probably other chemicals may also be used in conjunction with HAARP, which is a joint U.S Air Force and Navy project, to essentially control the weather.
At this point I would like to include an excerpt from "Chemtrails" Implications Part ll...
"Tommy Farmer, a former engineering technician with Raytheon Missle Systems, has been tracking patterns of jet contrails for more than a year. After repeatedly observing aircraft spraying particulates in front of and into cloud systems, Farmer is fairly certain the contrail phenomena is one part of a military weather modification weapons system. He notes that because the chemical contrails allow much more moisture to form inside the cloud systems, severe localized storms result from the aerial seeding while surrounding areas that have surrendered their moisture to the storm cells, experience drought.
The huge Xs being traced by formations of tanker jets in the sky can be tracked by satellite and coordinated with the crossed beams of ionospheric heaters(HAARP) to heat the upper atmosphere, changing it's temperature and density and enhancing the storm's effects.
Based in Gakon, Alaska, this unclassified joint U.S Air Force and Navy project known as the High Altitude Auroral Research Project (HAARP) has for the past several years been using phased array antennas to steer powerful beams of tightly-focused radio waves "to stimulate" heat and steer sections of the upper atmosphere.
Awarded in 1985 to MIT physicist, Bernard Eastlund, HAARP's commercial patent claims that directed energy beams of more than one billion watts can be used for altering the upper atmosphere wind patterns using plumes of atmospheric particles as a lens or focusing device to disturb the weather thousands of miles away. In an interview with this reporter, Eastlund admitted "I had looked at using this intense beam, which can be angled, to do some experiments in terms of guiding the jet stream, moving it from one spot to another."

Storm Enhancement, Storm Modification and Drought Inducement, are listed objectives of an AirForce research study entitled "Weather as a Force Multiplier." The ultimate goal was stated as "owning the weather by the year 2025."
One will almost never see trails being formed the day after the front passes through. As a rule, in our area, one to 2 days of clear skies follow, sometimes 3. Then the whole cycle begins again with a storm predicted to pass through within a couple of days.
Sometimes this pattern is broken by light spraying, especially around the rising and setting sun. On some days the jets play "connect the clouds" , for what purpose is anyone's guess. Our winter of 2001/2002 has been very bizarre, consisitng of unusual severe drought and extremely warm temperatures. I get the general impression from the media that they expect the drought to continue and perhaps cause major problems.
To me, it is reminiscent of the biological warfare media propaganda. My personal gut feeling is that they are making a continued drought sound plausible so that when farmers begin to lose their land, water rationing begins and possible famine ensues, it will seem as though it was all a natural occurrence. I can not prove any of this and I do not want to be an alarmist but I feel we must follow our intuitions and spread the word of this possibility before it is too late. We cannot wait for firm evidence to begin our investigation....and it is OUR investigation. We cannot depend and never should have placed so much dependance on our government to solve all our problems. This is a very dangerous practice.
There is an excellent article by Dr. Vandana Shiva entitled "Monsanto's Expanding Monopolies". I would like to share a couple of excerpts. "Over the past few years, Monsanto, a chemical firm, has positioned itself as an agricultural company through control over seed-the first link in the food chain. Monsanto now wants to control water, the very basis of life."
"Monsanto is seeing a new business opportunity because of the emerging water crisis. As it states in it's strategy paper "first, we believe that discontinuities (either major policy changes or major trendline breaks in resource quality or quantity), are likely, particularly in the area of water and we will be well positioned via these businesses to profit even more significantly when these discontinuities occur." Thus the crisis of pollution and depletion of water resources is viewed by Monsanto as a business opportunity."
Is it possible that the emerging water crisis is being caused artificially? I believe the answer could be yes but we need more investigation into this issue, on a massive scale. I have been trying to determine what would be the best course of action. Many of us have already tried contacting our legislators, government agencies, universities and the mainstream media but with very minimal results. I asked myself who would be the most affected by the drought, be the most concerned, and be the most likely to join together to form coalitions. I came up with the obvious conclusion.....anyone whose livelihood centers around the use of water. Agricultural and livestock growers came to mind first. I'm sure there are many other businesses that you could come up with.
I decided to make packets consisting of chemtrail photos, congressional bills, documents, patents, newspaper articles, etc. and bring them around to several large growers in our area.
I have just begun doing this, so I don't have any results to report on yet except the fact that I was always well recieved and that a couple of orchard owners I talked to, knew immediately what I was referring to when I mentioned the jet trails that don't dissipate....after all many of these people are outside all day long. The managers and owners said they would pass the information on to their partners and wanted to know how they could get in touch with me if needed. They seemed very grateful for the information. In the past I have tried to inform the general public about chemtrails and have had mixed success. I found that I'm getting more consistently good responses when I have specific information on the specific problem, drought/chemtrails and take it all to the appropriate people/businesses that would be affected and do it all with a desire to help.
I'm trying not to appear sensationalistic about the topic and instead I'm trying to remain calm and present the facts. We do have to admit that we don't have all the answers and that we need to work together to solve this. I mention that if perhaps they take the time to observe for themselves and if they then notice a correlation between the spraying and the weather conditions then they may want to contact the other growers in the area, that I have already spoken to, and perhaps form some type of coalition for the purpose of further investigation or legal action.
I tend to be impatient and when the owners weren't available and I tried giving all the information to the workers to pass on to the owners. I was told by several workers that I should wait till the owners are present and if necessary, make an appointment, otherwise the materials will not be taken seriously. This is a very good suggestion. Always speak with the owners/managers otherwise you may be wasting all your materials. Don't be shy about firmly asking to see the owner/manager. If drought appears like it may be an ongoing problem in your area and it's going to affect their bottom line, they will not feel like you are wasting their time. People are beginning to feel that something strange and different is going on and if you approach with the right motive in your heart, people will sense this.
You may want to explain the process involving media disinformation so that when it occurs they will not be swayed and will be able to discern the lies from the truth. When agendas are being uncovered those who are responsible may scurry to come up with alternate explanantions or even partial truths to cover up and confuse the public. Give them a few possible examples pertaining to the drought situation such as the President announcing that chemtrails are solely for the prevention of global warming.
Considering that Gorbachev and others in the One world Government crowd have declared that the environment and the global warming scenerio will be the cornerstone of the "New World Order", those you are informing will be aware and not be decieved when disinformation presents itself.
Another gem I heard recently was that we have much more pollution/particulates lately and these particulates are not allowing the rain to fall from the clouds (partial truth). The trend will be towards making the crisis seem to stem totally from unintentional unregulated pollution that will require global government restrictions.
Gorbachev has formed "Green Cross", an environmental think tank which has The "Earth Charter" as it's magna carta. He hopes the Earth Charter will rival the Ten Commandments and guide us into the new millenium. He speaks of nations losing sovereignty, giving way to international laws that will dictate common beliefs, values, standards and behavior and conform to the consensus of a group of leaders he has elected which he has termed The Council of the Wise or Global Brain Trust. Remember, the environmental crisis, whether real or promulgated, is intended to be the cornerstone or the fear inducing factor that will supposedly have us all begging for the protection offered by world government.
Now is the time to act and inform. We can no longer afford the luxury of worrying what others will think of us. Working together can be a joyful and uplifting experience. When I go to others with the right motive and attitude of thought, most people are very kind and receptive. If any of you have any ideas to share, you are welcome to e-mail me.

Recent analysis leads to the conclusion that the extensive and systematic aerosol operations that are being conducted without informed consent are aggravating, if not instigating, the elevated drought conditions that are now commonly being observed.
The current discussion centers upon the heat aspects of the atmosphere, which are currently under investigation. This paper will be presented in two sections: an initial general and conceptual statement of the problem and findings, to be followed by a more detailed presentation based upon certain fundamentals of physics, chemistry and mathematics.
In regard to the preliminary discussion, it is necessary to introduce the physical term known as the "specific heat" of a substance. Here is the definition of the specific heat:
The specific heat is the amount of heat required to flow into a substance to produce a one degree rise in temperature.
Comprehension of this definition is helpful to understand the basis of the discussion which follows. Tabulations of specific heats of the elements and various compounds are readily available within reference books. Even more importantly, it is necessary to recognize the practical application of this definition through the following additional statements:
A substance with a high specific heat requires more heat energy to raise its temperature a given amount than one with a low specific heat. Similarly, and conversely, and in particular related to the current discussion, a substance with a lower specific heat will raise higher in temperature with a given amount of heat than a substance with a higher specific heat. This importance of this latter fact will hopefully become apparent to the reader in due course.
The general and conceptual question that arises is this: Given that the air of the earth has a specific heat value, what would be the projected heat effect of introducing metallic particulate aerosols into that atmosphere? And specifically, what would be the projected effect of introducing particulate forms of aluminum, barium, magnesium, titanium and calcium? This itemized list of elemental contributions is of special interest because of both historical and recent investigations that confirm their unexpected presence in our atmosphere in direct association with the advent of the aircraft aerosol operations.
It can be stated that the introduction of the majority of these five elements will have the net effect of increasing the temperature of the atmosphere of this planet. This is a consequence of the specific heat values of the elements under primary consideration. This finding is potentially of the greatest consequence to both the life and welfare of this planet. It is reasonable to conclude that this finding may reveal a direction connection with, or impact upon, the rising prevalence of observed drought conditions. It is hoped that the citizens of this nation and the planet in general will organize to the level of confronting directly the ramifications of the aerosol operations which remain in progress, and to continue to force full disclosure and accountability.

CACOCUM, Cuba -- Manuel Batista walked through his small field of plantains and corn, surveying the damage wrought by a drought that has decimated crops, killed thousands of cattle and left residents scraping for water across huge swaths of this island nation. "This will not produce anything," said Batista, 68, as he grabbed a foot-high cornstalk just outside the small farming community of Cacocum. "It hasn't rained in nine months." All across central and eastern Cuba, farmers, ranchers, city dwellers and government officials are scrambling to deal with a punishing drought that began a decade ago and intensified in the last two years. Although traditionally arid, the provinces of Holguin, Camaguey and Las Tunas hold some of Cuba's finest pasture and farmland and have long been crucial to this communist nation's dairy, beef and agricultural industries. Leandro Bermudez, deputy director of Cuba's National Institute of Hydraulic Resources, said strong winds are pushing clouds through the region without precipitation. Rainfall is 55 percent below normal in Holguin province this year. 12,500 cattle have died More than 12,500 cattle have died in Holguin alone in 2004 and milk production has fallen 20 percent. The price of beans, plantains, sweet potatoes and other staples has soared in private markets. The drought has caused millions of dollars in losses and officials are spending millions more digging wells, building a water pipeline and taking other measures to try to ease the crisis--huge sums in an impoverished nation struggling through tough economic times and a battle with the United States. "This is the worst drought in 40 years," Bermudez said. "The situation is critical." In Cacocum, which is 10 miles south of the city of Holguin, the normally dark, fertile soil is cracked and brittle. Rib cages protrude from cattle grazing in denuded pastures as ranchers feed livestock ground-up sugar cane stalk and other substitutes for their normal feed in an effort to keep them alive. Two of the three reservoirs supplying water to Holguin city, Cuba's fourth-largest city, are empty and the third has only about a two-month supply of water, Bermudez said. At Guirabo, a reservoir that normally supplies 35,000 people, a herd of goats grazes in a vast basin usually submerged in 20 feet of water. The reservoir dried up in September. Thousands of wells also are dry in Holguin province, adding to water shortages that forced one of the region's largest hospitals to postpone some elective surgeries and shut off water in non-essential areas during morning hours. Armando Lamadrid, director of the V.I. Lenin Hospital in Holguin city, said he is steering more of the sick to outpatient care rather than admitting them to the hospital. Lamadrid said the city's four other hospitals have adopted similar measures even though government officials are giving hospitals priority as they ration and distribute water supplies. "We have 200 to 250 less patients now in the hospital," said Lamadrid, whose hospital can handle 830 patients. "We are directly affected because we are connected to one of the reservoirs that dried out." An aggressive response Although strapped for resources, officials have responded aggressively to the crisis, sinking hundreds of new wells and hauling in food from other regions. Officials also have moved thousands of cattle to more fertile areas and are working furiously to finish a 32-mile pipeline that will draw water to Holguin city from Cuba's largest river, the Cauto. The $5 million pipeline could be completed next month. With water taps dry, scores of trucks and Soviet-era tractors fitted with portable tanks carry water to Holguin city. But residents say the vehicles arrive in their neighborhoods only about once a week. In Lenin, a sprawling Holguin city neighborhood of drab, prefabricated apartment buildings, Carlos Palacio--a local baseball player--was dripping with sweat as he lugged two buckets of water weighing about 90 pounds from a portable tank up to his fifth-floor apartment. "I'll go up and down twenty times," Palacio, 34, said. "It's very hard, but there is no other choice." Nearby, one resident collected water from the same tank using an old paint can while another was set to fill a plastic ice cream container. Tony Garcia, a 26-year-old lifeguard, strained as he lifted a bucket of water to his fifth-floor apartment using a pulley attached to his building. Jorge Diaz, a retired automobile mechanic who has trouble walking because of illness, fashioned a makeshift pump from the motor of an old Soviet washing machine to get water to his second-floor apartment. He hasn't had tap water in two months. "Traditionally, we've had a problem with water but this year the drought is more aggressive," said Diaz, 70, shirtless in the stifling heat. The drought comes at a difficult time for Cuba, whose centralized economy remains weak and is sustained largely by tourism and hundreds of millions of dollars in remittances sent annually by Cubans living in the United States to relatives on the island. In recent weeks, President Bush has instituted a series of measures, including further limiting remittances and visits by Cuban-Americans to the island, in an effort to squeeze President Fidel Castro's government. `I am very worried' Many Cubans are concerned the measures will further impoverish their country, where health care and education are free, but the average salary hovers around $15 a month. "I am very worried," said Jose Manuel Bosch, a 38-year-old resident of the eastern city of Baracoa. "We don't know what will happen." In Holguin city, whose narrow streets are plied by horse-drawn carriages, vintage Soviet motorcycles with sidecars and bicycle taxis, officials and residents said they are not sure how long they can hold out if the drought continues. The forecast is not good. The last significant rain fell in September 2003 and meteorologists are predicting near or below normal rainfall for the rest of this year. "If that happens we will not recover," Bermudez, of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources, said.

Cuba: Drought Concerns and Impacts
Only 56% of seasonal rainfall has fallen on Cuba with the eastern portion of the country being hardest hit in the provinces of Las Tunas, Holguin, Granma, Santiago de Cuba, and Guantanamo (with rainfall getting progressively better to the west). Rainfall from April-June (usually heavy rainfall months) has been the lowest since 1941. Many water sources have also dried up (reserve levels are at 30% in the 21 most-affected municipalities in eastern Cuba) and it is feared that this weather pattern will continue for some time.
Cuban authorities estimate $180 million in losses so far affecting 22,000 farmers and ranchers. A United Nations team estimated 539,000 people, 280,000 of them farmers, were directly affected by reduced availability of food or reduced income through production losses. Some reported effects are: hunger in areas; a loss of up to 14% of the sugar cane crop planted last year and a reduction in this spring's planted crops, since rains were not sufficient for some seeds to germinate (which will reduce next year's crop); as much as 42% losses in food staples such as root vegetables, beans, bananas, and rice in the five eastern provinces; and livestock, poultry, and egg production losses.
To respond to the drought: the government has requested United Nations food and technical assistance, the World Food Programme is shipping $7 million in emergency food to feed 500,000 people for six months, tanker trucks are hauling water for 75,000 cattle, 10,000 cattle have been moved south from Holguin province to better water supplies, and water tankers are providing for 45,000 households in Las Tunas and 350,000 people in the province of Holguin (dams in Holguin province, which serve 628,000 people, are reported to be less than a month from drying up so the government is attempting to divert water from dams further away).

Every year since then, they have had much, much more of the same... and worse!... , and the spraying over this region has also been massive since then! Unfortunately, this region is on the verge of it's 2005 "wildfire season"... and the massive spraying there continues unabated...

Northern Arizona is burning, some 310,000 acres now and 35,000 or so have been evacuated. 325 homes have been lost so far, but due to the efforts of Arizona's finest, several hundred more have been saved. The city of Phoenix and surrounding areas are sending a massive amount of donated supplies to ma life a little for those who don't know if they will have a home tomorrow. My wife and I called immediately to offer space in our home to allow a family to get a fresh start.
President Bush is flying in to see the area tomorrow to see the damage done by months of Chemtrails - if the theory that the barium and other heavy metals have been responsible for raising air temperatures. Arizona skies have been full of them for quite some time now and devoid of any meaningful precipitation.
Just this afternoon I walked outside to have a cigarette and spotted a KC10 tanker flying overhead. How am I sure the trails were chems? Well, as the plane passed overhead, the trail started to sputter and sputter...finally running out of whatever they were spraying. The tanker continued on its course maintaining the same altitude until it had flown out of sight. When I came back out two hours later, the trail was still there...and several more had appeared to the north.
Do we really need to be any hotter or drier during this catastrophe? If weather controls what they're after, then give us rain! and save the heat and droughts for the bad guys.

As of March 2005, Oregon is facing a record dry year. Precipitation and snowpack levels are well below normal in most parts of the state. Before the publication of this book, chemtrail spraying had been reported in a number of other countries including England and Spain, both of which are closely allied with the US military. On April 28, 1997, Cuba filed a complaint before the United Nations General Assembly charging the U.S. was spraying biological warfare agents over Cuban soil.

In another incident, "a Cuban pilot reported seeing the release of unknown substances, in the form of a white or greyish mist on 10/21/96." (On 12/18/96, the first signs of thrips plague appeared in Matanzas province.) The official US response was that the US pilot had, during his flight, seen a Cuban commercial airplane flying below, and as he was not certain of having been seen, "following caution and safety procedures," and with the purpose of securing a positive visual contact, the pilot used the "smoke generator" of his aircraft, in order to "indicate its location," adding that "the smoke vanished and no fluid was poured from the airplane." However, the US SAR aircraft, register N3093M is officially used by the State Department against drug trafficking, to destroy crops. The aircraft utilizes two sprinkling systems: one for the use of aerosols and liquid particles and another for dropping solid particles. The SAR aircraft is not known to carry a smoke generator.
The Cuban government has also filed a protest with the UN regarding the United States' refusal to adopt a draft protocol prohibiting plans and production of biological weapons for 30 years. In addition, on May 31, 1999, a lawsuit for $181 billion in wrongful death and personal injury was filed in Havana Provincial Civil Court in which the US was accused of genocide.
But the bio-attack on Cuba has been unrelenting. In 2002, a Canadian tourist reported seeing what he assumed were regular rocket flights - possibly to avoid anti-aircraft fire - that penetrate Cuban airspace and leave long plumes of smoky white material. Cuban health officials were quoted as saying that the government is quietly working to control the spread of the biological agents from the US aerosol campaign. |

Hi Jeff,
We had a wonderful storm coming, I did not see it, but I told my wife in advance that it must be coming, as dozens of planes turned our blue sky to total dirty skies for 2 days in a row, without one bit of blue sky !
Sure enough, the storm came yesterday, but without a drop of rain !!!
Same story for at least 4 years !!! Almost everytime that we are expecting a good rain they come and spray the skies about 2 days in advance, and we get instead just a few drops, if any.
And all our corrupt scientists are afraid to talk about chemtrails!
I went to the people at our local meteoroligical wheather station, pointed to the sky, but they refused to even LOOK up !!! I then told them that, on the spot, I could show them all the information about what was going on right over their heads on their computer which was only about 2 meters away from us when we were talking. But they refused to look at their computer!
We have drought in Australia since they started the chemtrail spraying about 4 years ago, and now they have the audacity to blame it on "El Nino" !
Australia used to have a wonderful blue sky most of the year, but, for the last four years we hardly had ANY!!! It is a Taboo to talk about it; fear is gripping the country.
Three weeks ago we had a wonderful blue sky day, I mean we had a BLUE whole day. I wanted to take a photo and sent it to you, IT WAS BIG NEWS!

The year 2002 was a year of AWESOME spraying here in the Northeast. That was the year that I first noticed the chemtrails... I couldn't help it... It was SO obvious!!! Every morning starting at 5 A.M. the sprayers would appear in our skies and begin their massive east to west, horizon/horizon spraying over our region. And it was also an extremely DRY year for us. WE WERE IN THE MIDST OF AN EXTENDED DROUGHT. About a week before I realized what exactly was causing this drought, I can remember, in early June, of 2002, walking out of the air-conditioned comfort of work and out into the intense, dry heat. It was in the mid-90's that day. The air felt UNUSUALLY DRY!!! It felt like something was actually absorbing all of the moisture out of it... the feeling was unnatural, my gut instincts were telling me that something was extremely wrong with this environment that I had just stepped into! I remember looking at the trees and wondering how they would survive if this kept up all summer. Then I noticed the sky!!! It was filled with "contrails"... at least that's what I thought they were at that time! The sky was a total mess. I thought at that time that the airline industry was totally out of control. That weekend I traveled to a hilltop overlooking our region. To the north, Lake Ontario... to the south, the wooded hills of the Finger Lakes region. Up above... massive spraying taking place. I spent the rest of the afternoon, with my binocculars, looking in utter amazement as an armada of unmarked, mostly 767 jets spewed out their massive trails! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. That evening, I spent all night on the internet. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and reading!!! That summer was one of the driest on record. In the summer of 2002 I had been an amateur meteorologist for 32 years. That was the year that I realized that the serious droughts that we had been having off and on since the summer of 1988 were, AND STILL ARE, being deliberately, and artificially created! That was also the summer that I started to dig into my photo archives, and realized that, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the years 1987-1988, were benchmark years for the chemtrail operations, that this massive spraying over large portions of our planet had gone BIG TIME between 1987-1988, and had continued on in this massive fashion ever since. THIS WAS WHY WE WERE HAVING THESE MASSIVE, AND UNUSUAL DROUGHTS! The rest is history...

US East Coast Suffering 'Most Severe Drought On Record'

HANCOCK, N.Y. - U.S. trout fishermen converged on East Coast mountain streams for the new season last week only to discover a drought that water authorities fear could become a national disaster this summer.
As the United States spent the winter worrying about terrorism and recession, few people noticed it was neither raining nor snowing.
The result of a very dry winter is that at least 57 rivers on the East Coast and the Great Plains are running at record lows when they should be in spring spate. Reservoirs supplying the cities of the Atlantic Seaboard, including New York and Philadelphia, are only half full.
Dozens of local authorities have already banned garden hoses, car washing and recreational water use. Last week, New York declared emergency restrictions, turned off the fountains in Manhattan and suspended street-washing.
Montana was declared a drought disaster area, allowing the state to appeal for emergency federal funds for farmers even before the summer wheat season begins.
Many people have failed to take heed of the threat, said Jeff Ryan of the New York environmental protection department.
"The water crisis isn't on the horizon -- it's already here," he said. "People don't seem to realize it."
Conrad Lautenbacher, the administrator of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, said, "On the East Coast, we're experiencing the most severe drought on record."
Hundreds of fishermen who flocked last week to New York's Catskill Mountains found rivers reduced to pools. Dave Fisher, his waders wet only to his calves, could scarcely believe his luck as he pulled a 1.8-kilogram trout from a weir pool below the Cannonsville reservoir, one of a group of local lakes supplying water to New York, 225 kilometres away.
"Normally, the water would be running so deep in the spring, you could hardly get in here," he said. "But I've found this pool full of fish." James Serio, a local fishing guide, real estate agent and the executive director of the Delaware River Foundation, said the fish had nowhere else to go because the water had fallen so low.
"There is going to be a severe fish kill unless drastic steps are taken. The groundwater is down: For two years, we've been at least 12 inches low on the 45 inches of rain we need."
Water authorities say the plight of the trout stream may be the start of a bigger problem that could soon affect tens of millions of Americans.
In Maine, 1,000 private wells have already run dry after the driest winter in 108 years, while in Idaho, the potato crop is under threat. Farmers have no water for irrigation because the snowmelt feeding the Snake River is 20% below normal.
To the south, the melt is 40% below normal in the mountain basin feeding the Colorado River, which supplies most of the water for Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
"If things don't change, what we are going to see on the news this summer is fires," said Reagan Waskom, a water resource specialist at Colorado State University.
There are already reports of the first forest fire of the year raging in New Mexico.
The last serious drought was in 1988, when corn crops failed in Illinois and Kansas, riverboats ran aground on mud banks in the Mississippi, and Yellowstone Park burned in a forest fire so fierce it destroyed roots along with branches.
While some climatologists point to established cycles of drought and plenty, others say global warming trends are changing weather patterns.
Fishermen in the Catskills have discovered another factor behind the water crisis: politics. Water has always been a resource to be traded and fought over in the United States and a 50-year dispute lies behind half-empty reservoirs and trickling rivers.
Above the Catskill reservoirs last week, the streams were running with water from sudden heavy rains over the region during March. Below the lakes, however, the rivers most famous for trout were dry. New York was grabbing all the water, infuriating locals such as Mr. Serio. His businesses and the local economy depend on the trout.
City officials say they have no choice. Only a month ago, the Cannonsville reservoir was down to just 8% of capacity.
Mr. Serio disagrees. "Bad management of the water, and the arrogance of New York City to the state that surrounds it, is a major factor in the problem," he said."It's outrageous that they ruin our rivers while millions upon millions of gallons are simply wasted."
Up to a third of the water piped to New York never gets there because of leaks in the old wooden aqueducts.
Statistics illustrate New Yorkers' appetite for water. European cities consume 110 to 150 litres per person a day, compared with 200 litres for Boston and 375 litres for Los Angeles. New York's water consumption is 600 litres per person. |

The famous fountains in New York's Central Park, drained for winter, remain dry. Farmers in the Midwest are literally praying for rain: the St. John Catholic Church in Spearville, Kansas is holding four special services this week to seek divine intervention. And folks in Maine are wondering if they'll ever get to run a guilt-free dishwasher cycle again.
Thanks to an unusually dry winter, the Eastern seaboard is suffering from what some experts are calling the most severe drought on record; at least five states have declared drought emergencies. And in the Midwest it's almost as bad; crops are withering for lack of rainfall, and reservoir levels have dropped to dangerously low levels.
And as bad as it is now, it's probably going to get worse as the weather gets warmer. Analysts at the U.S. Climate Prediction Center put most of the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest in the "Slow Improvement/Problems Persist" category, signaling what could be a tough, dry summer for swimming pools, dust-caked cars and thirsty lawns. "We're still hoping for some good rains in April," says Bryan Swistock, a water resources and conservation specialist at Penn State's school of Forestry Resources. "But we seem to be running out of time."
Is there anything we can do? First, says Mark Svoboda, a climatologist at the National Drought Mitigation Center, in Lincoln, Nebraska, "we need to conserve water all the time, not just when we have droughts."
According to Svoboda, droughts are a natural and predictable part of the climate cycle, so we really shouldn't be so surprised when water supplies run low. Drought is something we can -- and must -- prepare for, he says, but getting ahead of the curve requires proactive thinking, and possibly expensive ventures like creating new reservoirs. If we don't take droughts more seriously, Svoboda predicts, the strain on water supplies will just keep getting worse.
Okay, but what about easing the effects of this drought -- right now? Happily for budding conservationists, there are a number of steps you can take to help preserve water. Here, with thanks to Bryan Swistock, is a quick rundown:
One: Don't take it outside. Most states with drought emergencies have already banned nonessential" water use -- and that includes washing cars, watering lawns and filling the swimming pools. Why eliminate all these springtime activities? Because, explains Swistock, they use up huge amounts of water with literally no return (to the ground water supply).
Two: Think when you drink (or floss, or scrub). When you're doing your dishes, or brushing your teeth, or just running water into a glass, turn off the faucet when you're not actually using the water. Don't let the water keep running while you're examining your back molars or soaping up your dinner plates.
Three: Go for the full load. Running half-empty dishwashers and washing machines is a fast way to waste tons of water. Make sure you've stuffed everything you possibly can into the machine before you press the start button.
Four: Skip the prune fingers. This is not a time for daily baths. Instead, strive for shorter showers (and see Six for even more efficient personal hygiene.)
Five: Toilet train. Remember how your weird cousins from Northern California used to keep a brick in their toilet tank to reduce water flow? Remember how you thought they were crazy? Well, they might have been, but they were right about conserving water. "It does help to put bricks or a quart jug filled with gravel, for example, into the toilet tank," says Swistock. "A heavy item like that displaces a quart or more of water -- and that's one less quart of water the toilet needs to refill itself."
Once you've mastered water displacement, try another, even more challenging conservation measure: Don't flush every time. "If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down." It's not the most pleasant or appetizing of mantras, but water conservationists love it.
Six: It's all about hardware. Consider installing low-flow spigots on your shower heads, low-flow toilets in your bathrooms and a front-loading washer in your laundry room (it's a bit more expensive than the traditional machine, but you'll see immediate savings on energy bills, and you'll use up to 30 percent less water for each wash.)

Washington's New World Order Weapons

The important debate on global warming under UN auspices provides but a partial picture of climate change; in addition to the devastating impacts of greenhouse gas emissions on the ozone layer, the World's climate can now be modified as part of a new generation of sophisticated "non-lethal weapons." Both the Americans and the Russians have developed capabilities to manipulate the World's climate.
In the US, the technology is being perfected under the High-frequency Active Aural Research Program (HAARP) as part of the ("Star Wars") Strategic Defence Initiative (SDI). Recent scientific evidence suggests that HAARP is fully operational and has the ability of potentially triggering floods, droughts, hurricanes and earthquakes.
HAARP is a mass destructive weapons - not part of any negotiations
From a military standpoint, HAARP is a weapon of mass destruction. Potentially, it constitutes an instrument of conquest capable of selectively destabilising agricultural and ecological systems of entire regions.
While there is no evidence that this deadly technology has been used, surely the United Nations should be addressing the issue of "environmental warfare" alongside the debate on the climatic impacts of greenhouse gases.
Despite a vast body of scientific knowledge, the issue of deliberate climatic manipulations for military use has never been explicitly part of the UN agenda on climate change. Neither the official delegations nor the environmental action groups participating in the Hague Conference on Climate Change (CO6) (November 2000) have raised the broad issue of "weather warfare" or "environmental modification techniques (ENMOD)" as relevant to an understanding of climate change.
The clash between official negotiators, environmentalists and American business lobbies has centered on Washington's outright refusal to abide by commitments on carbon dioxide reduction targets under the 1997 Kyoto protocol.(1) The impacts of military technologies on the World's climate are not an object of discussion or concern. Narrowly confined to greenhouse gases, the ongoing debate on climate change serves Washington's strategic and defense objectives.
Weather Warfare
World renowned scientist Dr. Rosalie Bertell confirms that
"US military scientists · are working on weather systems as a potential weapon. The methods include the enhancing of storms and the diverting of vapor rivers in the Earth's atmosphere to produce targeted droughts or floods."(2) Already in the 1970s, former National Security advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski had foreseen in his book "Between Two Ages" that:
"Technology will make available, to the leaders of major nations, techniques for conducting secret warfare, of which only a bare minimum of the security forces need be appraised... Techniques of weather modification could be employed to produce prolonged periods of drought or storm. " Marc Filterman, a former French military officer, outlines several types of "unconventional weapons" using radio frequencies. He refers to "weather war," indicating that the U.S. and the Soviet Union had already "mastered the know-how needed to unleash sudden climate changes (hurricanes, drought) in the early 1980s." (3) These technologies make it "possible to trigger atmospheric disturbances by using Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) radar [waves]." (4)
A simulation study of future defense "scenarios" commissioned for the US Air Force calls for: "US aerospace forces to 'own the weather' by capitalizing on emerging technologies and focusing development of those technologies to war-fighting applications." From enhancing friendly operations or disrupting those of the enemy via small-scale tailoring of natural weather patterns to complete dominance of global communications and counterspace control, weather-modification offers the war fighter a wide-range of possible options to defeat or coerce an adversary. In the United States, weather-modification will likely become a part of national security policy with both domestic and international applications. Our government will pursue such a policy, depending on its interests, at various levels. (5)
HAARP
The High-Frequency Active Aural Research Program (HAARP) based in Gokoma Alaska --jointly managed by the US Air Force and the US Navy-- is part of a new generation of sophisticated weaponry under the US Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI). Operated by the Air Force Research Laboratory's Space Vehicles Directorate, HAARP constitutes a system of powerful antennas capable of creating "controlled local modifications of the ionosphere".
Scientist Dr. Nicholas Begich --actively involved in the public campaign against HAARP-- describes HAARP as: "A super-powerful radiowave-beaming technology that lifts areas of the ionosphere [upper layer of the atmosphere] by focusing a beam and heating those areas. Electromagnetic waves then bounce back onto earth and penetrate everything -- living and dead." (6)
Dr. Rosalie Bertell depicts HAARP as "a gigantic heater that can cause major disruption in the ionosphere, creating not just holes, but long incisions in the protective layer that keeps deadly radiation from bombarding the planet." (7)
Misleading public opinion
HAARP has been presented to public opinion as a program of scientific and academic research. US military documents seem to suggest, however, that HAARP's main objective is to "exploit the ionosphere for Department of Defense purposes." Without explicitly referring to the HAARP program, a US Air Force study points to the use of "induced ionospheric modifications" as a means of altering weather patterns as well as disrupting enemy communications and radar.(9)
According to Dr. Rosalie Bertell, HAARP is part of a integrated weapons' system, which has potentially devastating environmental consequences: "It is related to fifty years of intensive and increasingly destructive programs to understand and control the upper atmosphere. It would be rash not to associate HAARP with the space laboratory construction which is separately being planned by the United States. HAARP is an integral part of a long history of space research and development of a deliberate military nature.
The military implications of combining these projects is alarming. The ability of the HAARP / Spacelab/ rocket combination to deliver very large amount of energy, comparable to a nuclear bomb, anywhere on earth via laser and particle beams, are frightening. The project is likely to be "sold" to the public as a space shield against
incoming weapons, or, for the more gullible, a device for repairing the ozone layer. (10)
In addition to weather manipulation, HAARP has a number of related uses: "HAARP could contribute to climate change by intensively bombarding the atmosphere with high-frequency rays. Returning low-frequency waves at high intensity could also affect people's brains, and effects on tectonic movements cannot be ruled out. (11).
More generally, HAARP has the ability of modifying the World's electro-magnetic field. It is part of an arsenal of "electronic weapons" which US military researchers consider a "gentler and kinder warfare". (12)
Weapons of the New World Order
HAARP is part of the weapons arsenal of the New World Order under the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI). From military command points in the US, entire national economies could potentially be destabilized through climatic manipulations. More importantly, the latter can be implemented without the knowledge of the enemy, at
minimal cost and without engaging military personnel and equipment as in a conventional war. The use of HAARP -- if it were to be applied-- could have potentially devastating impacts on the World's climate.
Responding to US economic and strategic interests, it could be used to selectively modify climate in different parts of the World resulting in the destabilization of agricultural and ecological systems. It is also worth noting that the US Department of Defense has allocated substantial resources to the development of intelligence and monitoring systems on weather changes. NASA and the Department of Defense's National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) are working on "imagery for studies of flooding, erosion, land-slide hazards, earthquakes, ecological zones, weather forecasts, and climate change" with data relayed from satellites. (13) POLICY INERTIA OF THE UNITED NATIONS According to the Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) signed at the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro:
"States have, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of international law, the responsibility to ensure that activities within their jurisdiction or control do not cause damage to the environment of other States or of areas beyond the limits of national jurisdiction." (14). It is also worth recalling that an international Convention ratified by the UN General Assembly in 1997 bans "military or other hostile use of environmental modification techniques having widespread, long-lasting or severe effects." (15) Both the US and the Soviet Union were signatories to the Convention. The Convention defines "environmental modification techniques" as referring to any technique for changing--through the deliberate manipulation of natural processes--the dynamics, composition or structure of the earth, including its biota, lithosphere, hydrosphere and
atmosphere or of outer space." (16) Why then did the UN --disregarding the 1977 ENMOD Convention as well as its own charter-- decide to exclude from its agenda climatic changes resulting from military programs?
European Parliament acknowledges impact of HAARP
In February 1998, responding to a report of Mrs. Maj Britt Theorin --Swedish MEP and longtime peace advocate--, the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs, Security and Defense Policy held public hearings in Brussels on the HAARP program.(17) The Committee's "Motion for Resolution" submitted to the European Parliament: "Considers HAARP by virtue of its far-reaching impact on the environment to be a global concern and calls for its legal, ecological and ethical implications to be examined by an international independent body; [the Committee] regrets the repeated refusal of the United States Administration to give evidence to the public hearing into the environmental and public risks [of] the HAARP program." (18.)
The Committee's request to draw up a "Green Paper" on "the environmental impacts of military activities", however, was casually dismissed on the grounds that the European Commission lacks the required jurisdiction to delve into "the links between environment and defense". (19) Brussels was anxious to avoid a showdown with Washington.
Fully operational
While there is no concrete evidence of HAARP having been used, scientific findings suggest that it is at present fully operational. What this means is that HAARP could potentially be applied by the US military to selectively modify the climate of an "unfriendly nation" or "rogue state" with a view to destabilizing its national economy. Agricultural systems in both developed and developing countries are already in crisis as a result of New World Order policies including market deregulation, commodity dumping, etc. Amply documented, IMF and World Bank "economic medicine" imposed on the Third World and the countries of the former Soviet block has largely contributed to the destabilization of domestic agriculture. In turn, the provisions of the World Trade Organization (WTO) have supported the interests of a handful of Western agri-biotech conglomerates in their quest to impose genetically modified (GMO) seeds on farmers throughout the World.
It is important to understand the linkage between the economic, strategic and military processes of the New World Order. In the above context, climatic manipulations under the HAARP program (whether accidental or deliberate) would inevitably exacerbate these changes by weakening national economies, destroying infrastructure and potentially triggering the bankruptcy of farmers over vast areas. Surely national governments and the
United Nations should address the possible consequences of HAARP and other "non-lethal weapons" on climate change. |

SEOUL, South Korea -- First it was flooding that wreaked havoc on North Korea's food production. Now the famine-threatened country says severe drought is destroying hundreds of thousands of acres of crops. Lack of rain at the height of the growing season "has rendered the food shortage all the more serious," said the North's official Korean Central News Agency.
"Some 716,000 acres have been damaged in the country as of July 21," KCNA said. "The grain loss is expected to be 704,300 tons."
The reclusive communist state, preaching self-reliance as a guiding philosophy, is already dependent on outside food aid. U.N. agencies have said the country needed 800,000 tons of emergency food assistance before its October harvest to avert famine. Now, the North says it expects little from that harvest.
"Unprecedented abnormal weather is exerting a catastrophic influence upon all sectors of the national economy in Korea," KCNA said. "According to even initial surveys, the nation's granaries have been afflicted by drought....and no crops are expected from most of paddy and non-paddy fields."
A dry spell that lasted 50 days since the end of May has dried up thousands of small rivers and reservoirs, especially in traditional grain-producing provinces in the western half of the North, it said. That has left "cultivated areas dried and cracked and affecting the growth of crops," the report said.
With temperatures rising above 86 degrees Fahrenheit, more than 237,000 domestic animals were killed and 114,000 acres were burned in forest fires, it said. Dry field crops, such as early-ripening maize which is harvested in July and August, also were devastated, the report said.
Milton Amayun, an American humanitarian relief expert who spent a week in North Korea, said he saw roads leading out of Pyongyang packed with organized crowds who headed toward outlying farms carrying pails to water the crops.
Communist mismanagement had left the North with chronic food shortages. The situation was further exacerbated when the collapse of communism cut off Soviet aid in farm equipment, spare parts, fertilizers and fuel. Then severe flooding hit in 1995 and 1996, pushing North Korea to the brink of famine.
So far, the United States, China, South Korea, and other countries have donated several hundred thousand tons of wheat, rice, and other food. But the amount falls far short of the North's immediate needs, U.N. officials say.
The U.N. Children's Fund, or UNICEF, issued warnings that the North's children could fall victim to mass starvation without quick help. U.N. agencies estimated that one-third of the children under 6 were malnourished.
South Korea has agreed to send 50,000 tons of corn. That will be the South's second massive food shipment for its ideological foe in three months. Washington has given or promised $52 million in food aid. |

Holy Crap!
I started my chemtrail research in Jan '02, and had concluded before the end of Feburary '02 that the USAF was responsible for the drought over the Northeast. If anyone has a membership to CTTUSA you will see that the messages begin in March '02 when Yahoo transfered their entire club forum to a group forum. Our messages were lost in the the transfer. I couln't help but notice the first article that you posted. Daystar1952... I had no clue who this person is but it is interesting that she took everything that I had said to the T and wrote the article. This was an entire 2 months before Carnicom whispered a drought-chemtrail connection. This has made my day. Thanks Joe!
