I've made a set of actions based on input in this thread that can be used in versions of Photoshop 6 & higher. You'll need to experiment with them in different orders, etc, as they're generalized adjustments & you will get very different results depending on what combinations & what order.

Load it up via Photoshop's Actions pallette & then set the action pallette to 'button mode' to use them.
