The blood red lacerated sky ominously looming above.

Lets hope not.

From what I understand the sky can appear to be red at either dawn or dusk.

There's a good chance this is remnants of the Saharan dust that came to Florida last week. Living in Miaimi most of my life this is a familiar scene for me, but I thought I'd share it anyways.

It did get brutal red for about 10 minutes when I was shooting this, way more than I recall seeing in the past, but honestly that's a subjective observation, so just enjoy the purty picture.

But seriously, it's not the color that I chose to illustrate, it was the shape of this cloud & it's mottled, dripping look:

I should point out that this was taken after a heavy white-out had begun breaking up. The color is useful for displaying the texture of this weird crap that kept getting re-inforced with more and more persistent contrails earlier:

"Red skies at night" A sailors delight. Here in Oregon we had one of those special red sunsets recently and the people coming out of the grocery store thought it was so pretty.Gag me.It cracks me up how just certain parts of the sky and 'clouds' don't get the red look.

I know exactly what you mean..

These are red, and those aren't..These are green, and those aren't..

I wish people thunk more.
