Cindy Sheehan - A true American Patriot exposing the real Dubya
August 9, 2005, 12:52 pm
"To stand in silence when they should be protesting makes cowards out of men" - Abraham Lincoln
"The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people." - Martin Luther King, Jr.
The uproar gathering around Cindy Sheehan`s protest outside of George Bush`s holiday home in Crawford, Texas, is starting to be deafening. For those of you not familiar with Cindy Sheehan, her son Casey, died on April 4 2004 in Sadr, Iraq. Casey was 24, and like the other 1835 dead US troops, he died for a lie.
"Be the change that you want to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi
The republican attack slugs have already started their campaign to discredit Cindy Sheehan, she has been called bitter and twisted, quotes have been taken out of context etc, etc, however Cindy Sheehan is a lot more dangerous to the Bush Junta than anything they have faced so far, and for this reason she needs the support of everyone who wishes to see America saved from this gang of criminals currently raping the USA under the protection of the presidency.
"When we think of failure; Failure will be ours. If we remain undecided; Nothing will ever change. All we need to do is want to achieve something great and then simply to do it. Never think of failure For what we think, will come about." - Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
I will try and explain why Cindy Sheehan is so important, but the Crawford Protest ranks in social importance at the same level as the civil rights movement of the 60s. Cindy Sheehan represents everything that is good about America. A middle class mom, she has paid the ultimate sacrifice, namely losing her son in a war. Her son Casey, is a true hero. Although he disagreed with the war, he was a military man, and he honoured his obligations to his country and his fellow troops, for which he paid the ultimate price. He was 24 years old.
"Disobedience is the true foundation of liberty. The obedient must be slaves." - Henry David Thoreau
Cindy Sheehan represents truth, justice, bravery, nobility and more importantly freedom. Her very presence in Crawford exposes George Bush for the cowardly liar that he is. This fraudulent commander-in-chief, who insults the deaths of his troops by refusing to allow their coffins to be shown on television. This hypocrite, who sends men and women off to die for freedom and democracy, whilst at the same time, jokes about non-existent WMDS to an audience of sychophantic quislings. This spoilt coward, who used his father`s influence to avoid active service in Vietnam because he is a coward, yet will send men and women off to die for a lie whilst goading the enemy with BS phrases like "Bring it on".
As he cowers in his Crawford bunker, Cindy Sheehan is exposing Bush for what he really is. If Cindy Sheehan represents everything that is good about America, George Bush by his actions is saying "I don`t care about truth, justice, bravery, nobility and more importantly freedom. I don`t care about the troops deaths. I do not respect the sacrifices of ordinary Americans for my war, based on lies. America, you can all go to hell". This is why Cindy Sheehan is such a threat, because she is shining a light on the true George Bush.
"Without Freedom of thought, there can be no such Thing as Wisdom; and no such thing as public Liberty, without Freedom of speech" - Benjamin Franklin
Cindy Sheehan exposes the Bush Junta for the cowardly lying criminals that they are. As middle America watches this brave woman, as she forces the truth into households around the country they are forced to wake up. "The truth will set you free" as the saying goes. Cindy Sheehan represents truth. She represents reality. She represents everything that is good about America and everything that is evil about war.
"Our nature is obscured by work done by the compulsion of want or fear. The mother reveals herself in the service of her children, so our true freedom is not the freedom from action but freedom in action, which can only be attained in the work of love." - Rabindranath Tagore
Cindy Sheehan needs your support. She has been informed that on Thursday she will be arrested. For what? Protesting? For speaking out? This is America, the land of the free, if Cindy Sheehan is arrested, this will mean America no more. This is a pivotal moment in America`s history, as pivotal as the suffrage movement, as pivotal as the civil rights marches. It is time for the youth of America to stand up and be counted. It is time to reclaim your country.
"There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest." - Elie Wiesel
Casey Sheehan was 24 years old, a young man with his whole life in front of him, dead, not for a noble cause, but for a lie. Dead for a Lie. If the Bush junta can get away with this illegal act, how long before they reinstate the draft? How many more 24 year olds have to die before you do something about it? Are you going to wait until it is too late to do anything, or are you going to seize the day, today, and get to Crawford Texas and stand shoulder to shoulder with Cindy Sheehan?
"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it." - Martin Luther King, Jr
Martin Luther King made a speech in 1968 called Beyond Vietnam. I have incorporated the whole speech on a track called The Prophecy. You can download it for free here The Prophecy. I am doing this not for financial gain, but to motivate the once huge club community to start standing up and being counted. If you can`t get to Crawford, Texas, then go to Gold Star Families for Peace and support Cindy Sheehan in any way you can.
I leave you with a quote from Martin Luther King, which trait applies to you?
"Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?' But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but because conscience tells one it is right." Martin Luther King, Jr.
