HURRICANE KATRINA DESTROYS NEW ORLEANS
DAYS BEFORE "SOUTHERN DECADENCE" 8/31/05
PHILADELPHIA - Just days before "Southern Decadence", an annual homosexual celebration attracting tens of thousands of people to the French Quarters section of New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina destroys the city.
"Southern Decadence" has a history of filling the French Quarters section of the city with drunken homosexuals engaging in sex acts in the public streets and bars. Last year, a local pastor sent video footage of sex acts being performed in front of police to the mayor, city council, and the media. City officials simply ignored the footage and continued to welcome and praise the weeklong celebration as being an "exciting event". However, Hurricane Katrina has put an end to the annual celebration of sin.
On the official "Southern Decadence" website (www.SouthernDecadence.com), it states that the annual event brought in "125,000 revelers" to New Orleans last year, increasing by thousands each year, and up from "over 50,000 revelers" in 1997. This year’s 34th annual "Southern Decadence" was set for Wednesday, August 31, 2005 through Monday, September 5, 2005, but due to massive flooding and the damage left by the hurricane, Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco has ordered everyone to evacuate the city.
The past three mayors of New Orleans, including Sidney Barthelomew, Marc H. Morial, and C. Ray Nagin, issued official proclamations welcoming visitors to "Southern Decadence". Additionally, New Orleans City Council made other proclamations recognizing the annual homosexual celebration.
"Although the loss of lives is deeply saddening, this act of God destroyed a wicked city," stated Repent America director Michael Marcavage. "From 'Girls Gone Wild' to 'Southern Decadence,' New Orleans was a city that had its doors wide open to the public celebration of sin. From the devastation may a city full of righteousness emerge," he continued.
New Orleans is also known for its Mardi Gras parties where thousands of drunken men revel in the streets to exchange plastic jewelry for drunken women to expose their breasts. This annual event sparked the creation of the "Girls Gone Wild" video series.
"We must help and pray for those ravaged by this disaster, but let us not forget that the citizens of New Orleans tolerated and welcomed the wickedness in their city for so long," Marcavage said. "May this act of God cause us all to think about what we tolerate in our city limits, and bring us trembling before the throne of Almighty God," Marcavage concluded.

Whatever god these people worship sure seems like the same personality type as these "Holier than thous"...Insane, vengeful, and male-dominated
Amazing how humans project their own self image upon deities.

This event is especially disturbing to me. I love costuming and music as much as life itself. I wanted to visit New Orleans and never made it there. This city as it was is washed out. It is so upsetting.
The kind of callousness that I feel from these so-called religious empathetic, passionate hypocrites is the same and beyond what was scripted in the 'Bible'. Written by the same type of insane toxin individuals.
I had full proof of this yesterday and today at my job. I do payroll, where there is some reward in helping people. I received two phone calls from men who work in our New Orleans branch. They were both with there families, with very little money and no place to go. Their checks were in the mail and probably underwater. I did everything to get money in their hands and between a few of us we did by next day. After getting off the phone, my two fellow workers, asked me why I made such an effort. They said they wouldn’t have replaced their checks till next week. That they should have known ahead of time that they were living in a dangerous place and they should have had direct deposit. That for them it was like living in San Francisco where there are earthquakes. They're just stupid and deserve what they get. Now that is raw!
I was pretty taken back by their response. No empathy at all. Now these are two God fearin', Bush votin', housewives with careers. This is what is fueling the suffering. And they don't care. They think just like Bush. Anything goes.
Well, I do care and I feel terrible. It felt like the right thing to do to help these two families. And they were extremely grateful. And I'm going to sorely miss New Orleans. I want to write a song and a write book about this creative and inspiring culture. Jazz music started there. A trophy of the 'American' fallen' empire.
Oh! this is horrible. They deserve to die! Nice humane attitude.
Down right dangerous, God had to hose them down! Get that gay makeup off. Cross your legs and go to church you sinners.

NO God did NOT cause the destruction of New Orleans. He will never destroy indiscriminately. |

I'm so god damn fed up with these "God will fix everything people". They love to thank God when things are going well (just watch any award show on TV), but never when they aren't. We're told by these ass-wipes that that we deserve the disasters that come our way. "It's the gay people's fault", in other words we as a country don't discriminate and direct our hatred on to homosexuals enough to please God. If we were actually doing God's work, which is according to them being spiteful bigots all would be well. If that's the case I'd rather be in hell. Comparatively speaking it's starting to sound like the better place to be?
Hannity & Colmes News Flash: The Reason For Looting In New Orleans Is Not Enough God In School
quote: Sean Hannity asked Franklin Graham tonight why "on the one hand" some people have risked their lives to help the hurricane victims while "on the other side, we have looting, shooting, rape and mayhem."
Graham answered, "Of course, Sean, this happens in a country when we have taken God out of our schools and God out of our society. We don't have a moral standard and we need to put God back into our schools."
It might have helped if the levee hadn't broken or if there hadn't been so many troops in Iraq. But that was never discussed on Hannity & Colmes.
So it's God again, not being allowed in to the schools?
How about poverty, destitution and desperation pushing people to the brink f@#$%? Who was preventing God from coming down in to Louisiana to prevent this hurricane? Or is this divine punishment from above sent down because we as a country don't mandate that an entire class period be dedicated to the degradation and defamation of gay people? Is that what it's going to take to appease this vengeful, vindictive God that loves to punish us all so much? f*** all of this $#@#!!!!!
Religion has and always be the most dangerous ideological institution to ever plague this planet.

$#@#!
quote:
Another case in point: Fred Phelps and the mouth-breathers of godhatesfags.com picketing the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq and saying that these deaths are God's punishment to the United States for tolerating homosexuals.
Here's a thought, maybe the fact that BUSH, the commander chief ordered our troops in to Iraq to die had something to do with it? But no, that's too obvious, it's the gays fault. Blame everything on them while alleviating Bush and the government of any responsibility or accountability whatsoever. Is God a republican because if you follow what these idiots are saying he sure seems to be politically spinning for the benefit of the right? I guess liberals, independents, and everyone else aren't entitled to a belief in God?
If there really is an evil, foul-mouthed devil of eternal conflagration he disguises himself as Pat Robertson and uses the 700 Club to bring about the much-desired apocalypse here on earth. It's those that blindly follow his lead who truly worship Satan!!! Why is it that the fanatical cross wavers who just love to declare themselves to be morally superior to all others also seem to exhibit the very worst intolerant & anti-social behaviors?
Please don't answer that, it's a rhetorical question that should speak for itself.
I'd tell these people to go to hell but I'm beginning to realize that we're already there. _________________ "You find me offensive? I find you offensive, for finding me offensive" |
