I'll say it again. The only place the use of barium has been connected to RFMP, VTRPE, HAARP, and/or DARPA is on chemtrail sites. That doesn't mean it isn't true, but it does mean that no scientist has come forward and connected his/her NAME to this information.

WiseQuakker's site http://home1.gte.net/quakker/Documents/Chemtrails_Over_America.htm#Investigators gives a nice summary of the information that's out there. But please be aware that excellent graphics do not necessarily equal truth.

Here's a googlesearch for RFMP + Brookhaven + barium: http://www.google.com/search?q=rfmp+brookhaven+barium&hl=en&safe=active&filter=0
As you can see, it's all chemtrail sites. Now if the physicist from Brookhaven would actually give us his NAME and let us e-mail him with questions, I wouldn't have the feeling that all of this was fabricated by someone who had an antimilitary agenda.

I personally believe many things are being sprayed into the atomosphere to combat solar radiation, pollution, and possibly co2.I am not saying there may not be other than positive reasons for what is being done. You guys are lost in the details, you cant see the forest

In my experience, you have to keep your eyes on the trees and the forest, Bob B. When some of the trees are made out of camouflage, the forest takes on a whole new meaning.

The RFMP referred to on Wisequakker's site was explained and even had a simulator to play with. (Jay Reynolds could provide more info on it from memory; I'm a little fuzzy on it at the moment because it's not my area of interest or research.) Anyway, common sense tells me that if this or any other defense mechanism were in place by our military, would they put the facts about it on the Internet?

Following is a copy of an e-mail discussion back in July I had with Michael New, the webmaster for Joyce Riley. He had put up Wisequakker's website and a small bit about the Spotlight article on the Power Hour website. If his name is familiar, he was the gentleman who refused to obey an order by donning a UN uniform while in the Army. (I think it was the Army.)

Although the pages are no longer available through these links, they were there at one time and anybody could have used the simulator. I will have to go back and see if I saved any of the info I had gathered on the people behind it. More to follow if I still have it. I will bold my comments in the discussion below-

I apologize for coming across as combative, however, I am reactive when it comes to the chemtrail hoax. I honestly thought I was addressing the e-mail to Joyce Riley, and now that I realize it wasn't she and YOU replied, I would like to keep it that way.

Sure.

Thank you for admitting you know little about the chemtrail controversy and you are better off. Indeed there are more substantial issues at hand that need the attention of citizens, however, this is one of the reasons I continue to criticize it.

You know, it's ironic, isn't it? Most people believe what they want to believe, regardless of any evidence you show them.

Here is the link for the RFMP Home Page http://www.arlut.utexas.edu/~rfmpwww/public_page/rfmp_home/ and the simulator.
The graphics take a while to load. ]http://www.arlut.utexas.edu/~rfmpwww/public_page/rfmp_home/Portfolio/portfolioFram e.html

Thank you. That was fascinating. I posted it at www.thepowerhour.com

Is it too logical to think that if this was some deep dark military secret, this information wouldn't be available over the Internet?

No, it's not illogical at all. Unfortunately, you can find "proof" on the internet that aliens once ruled this world, too. You know how that goes. Again, most people look to something higher, and believe what they want to be true in the end.

I suppose discernment and interpretation by an individual would be the key factor. There are too many holes in the Mike Blair SPOTLIGHT articles. Having been on this issue for 2 years, it is my opinion that the perpetrators of the hoax have proven to be no more or less than Greens, environmentalist New Agers who began looking for recruits with the pre-Y2K and patriot movement paranoia. They've created a following even though most of their propaganda can be debunked.

Hmmm... No comment on him and them. I think we've both seen that kind of thing before, huh? :-)

[b]Michael, may I take this opportunity to thank you for your service to our country and the position you stood and suffered for.

Why, certainly. And in kind, thank you for trying to bring some people back to earth. LOL

Best wishes to you and your family.

And yours, as well.
Mike

3T I really appreciate the links to the links to the links. I've buried myself in barium.

I'll post the chem page I use for chem/pesticide research. http://www.inchem.org/

Great read on "everything you wanted to know about barium".
I'll post "barium oxide". http://www.inchem.org/documents/ehc/ehc/ehc107.htm#SubSectionNumber:1.1.2
Maybe I shouldn't be surprised that UENP was part of the trail to get here.
Wish I could find the scientific page to substantiate the claim. I'll dig until I do, or don't. I bet it's closer today than it was yesterday.
You are correct, the first time I saw the barium/atmosphere relationship was probably from Thomas.
5.1.1. Air

The levels of barium in the air are not well docu-mented, and in some cases the results are contradictory.
Tabor & Warren (1958) detected barium concentrations from
<0.005 to 1.5 µg/m3 in the air in 18 cities and 4 sub-urban areas in the USA (Table 5). Of 754 samples analysed, most of the observations made were at concentrations up to 0.05 µg/m3. No distinct pattern between ambient levels
of barium in the air and the extent of industrialization was observed. In general, however, a higher concentration was observed in areas where metal smelting occurred (Tabor
& Warren, 1958; Schroeder, 1970). In a more recent survey in the USA, barium concentration ranged from 0.0015 to
0.95 µg/m3 (US EPA, 1984).

Thanks for the "everything you wanted to know about barium" reference, ICU. If you don't mind, I'll add it to the Science Forum.

By the way, much of the barium-sprayed-in-chemtrails controversy has already been addressed in the Science Forum. http://www.chemtrailcentral.com/ubb/Forum14/HTML/000004.html Unfortunately the idea that barium is being sprayed in chemtrails has been widely promoted by a geologist/surveyor trying to do spectroscopy with sunlight ( http://www.carnicom.com/spectra1.htm )and trying to show an increase in barium hydroxide by measuring the pH of rainfall with an aquarium solution of the wrong range ( http://www.carnicom.com/ph1.htm ). It is very probable that there is lots of barium in our environment and that none of it comes from chemtrails.

[Edited to remove inaccurate information which was kindly pointed out by Jay Reynolds.]
