Anti-Bush Protesters Gather in Argentine Resort Ahead of Americas Summit
quote: Waving communist flags and images of famed revolutionary Che Guevara, thousands of people opposed to President Bush and free trade protested Tuesday at a "People's Summit" ahead of this weekend's fourth Summit of the Americas.
quote: Protesters will spend days airing grievances from the Iraq war to free trade policies they say enslave Latin America workers. They are hoping to draw 50,000 people for their highlight event - a protest Friday a day after Bush arrives.

Bush looking to promote "free trade" and globalism. This is the scene that follows just about every one of his visits abroad.

quote: After his meeting with Kirchner, Bush thanked the Argentine president, saying, "It's not easy to host all these countries. It's particularly not easy to host, perhaps, me."
No kidding Bush, how do you think we feel about having you as our president? _________________ "You find me offensive? I find you offensive, for finding me offensive" |

I want to say that these pigs actually had a black tie dinner the other night and the ass kiss news taking about the freakin menu and crap and this is right after he vetoed a bill for an increase in the minimum wage and cutback on the foodstamps program, and also as of yet there are people still in trailers with no homes, post Katrina ect.
oh yeah, like I give a s!@# what each course of their meal was with the Brits ugly and uglier guest.

You should've heard the way Fox was trying to diminish this for Bush.
Tony Snow said that they were all probably just a traveling gypsy group of protesters that run around following Bush to his every appearance just to cause trouble. They were tying to suggest that the numbers opposing Bush around the world are really small, in most cases not even the locals. We're just seeing the same protesters over and over again as if they were some kind of political "Grateful Dead-heads" or "Phish-heads" that follow the band on tour. These are the kinds of hopeless straws that they're reaching for at Fox. They literally strain themselves trying to spin, twist and distort just to defend Bush.
They were always quick to say that the majority of the people support free trade and these were just the fringe groups reacting (which is totally bogus). They called them opportunist, photo-op anarchists who don't even have a purpose other than to disrupt and destroy. As if these people have nothing better to do and they can't possibly comprehend what our piss poor foreign policy is doing to them. "It's really not that bad" one commentator said trying to minimize the level of outrage but then added, "but I wouldn't want to be there". They all seemed to agree that it was still a good idea for Bush to go there to send a strong message to Chavez and all the other evil socialists/communists that we're still the economic superpower of the world and that it's in their best interest to be allies with us. Pretty damn arrogant and self absorbed don't you think? "Bush doesn't care about what's popular, he cares about what's right". Gag me with a f@#$% spoon will you?

Bush cares only for this. _________________ "The police are not here to create disorder.

And it's considered both popular and right to him. As long as only the top 1 percentile of the population is receiving it. _________________ "You find me offensive? I find you offensive, for finding me offensive" |
