This is what I was refering to mainly :>Who would be big enough to stop it?< The people....that's who...that same arguement I have had with mario and others....people really make it all work, now if we live in apathy, we are done....but if there are string pullers that affect our economy, money, media...it is our right and duty to speak up in any means necessary, and tell them they are out of line....It's all our faults if things go to chit.... pro-active T/S

Gregg, I totally agree with you 100 percent. However, we're not big enough. We need more public awareness and public involvement. Timing has a lot to do with everything too. I believe this spring would be good timing. The campaign stuff will be settled in, warm weather will be abound with many months to make a loud voice be heard.Christy

I have a hard time believing that you are a repub, when you take the approach you do.Seeker, I am an American first, before I'm a Republican. I don't hold an allegiance to any party...only a set of ideas. In the future don't comment on threads I post unless they are directed to you...it is true waste of time.... I'll comment on any thread I wish to comment on, unless the host of the board says otherwise. The only time you waste is yours. My point was that I noticed that your comments seem to convey a disproportionate lack of respect for people who have done nothing but treat you with respect and polite words .....Just an observation. If it's none of my business, then don't air your dirty laundry. Get a shave and lighten up……

Jason...I'm still trying to figure what drugs you were on to develop the opinion to you did, no your not a republican, or a conservative I'd say you have no position, other than this :
What you have is "doublelife" problem.... In plainly explained words, that you seem to need...you talk to others, in one tongue, and in public you talk in another,in fact it's just a big charade' eh...jason.... Prancing around trying to save the world, defending people when they don't need it and inventing a view of others actions trying to make them look like a nazi... I ask questions jason....and have been asking them well before you appeared,I ask them to learn....I guess you know it all.... I got my shave dude now you get a life....and leave me alone.... T/S

I'm not sure what you mean by the environmental groups are getting air readings from commercial aircraft, but not military. If you are taking samples for air quality, the results reflect what's in the air no matter what the source. If you're talking about specific samples of the actual emissions from the aircraft, that is done for military aircraft as well. I believe the 1999 report from the IPCC (sorry, can't remember what that stands for right now) covers commercial and military. And the reason you've never heard a lot about the distinction between military and commercial aircraft is because jet fuel is jet fuel, and the emissions from either consists of water vapor, CO2, NOx, SOx, and particulates. The same as from your car engine, just different proportions based on the engine. The same as any combustion process (remember high school chemistry?) JP-8 (military) is basically the same as Jet-A (commercial), they are both kerosene. The primary difference is in the additives. And, these are strictly controlled. I'm sure the military standard for jet fuel is publically available. And it's definetly not Raid. I'm sure the Air Force prefers for their aircraft to stay in the air, so they use fuel, not poisons.
