On Monday evening's (Jan 15th) CBS Evening News, Eye on America series the theory of fighting global warming using Welsbach reflective particles was presented for the masses. Edward Teller was shown stating this this should begin ASAP. There was discussion of using battleship to fire such materials into the upper atmosphere.

Another possibility was to use a large satellite that would actually provide a partial sun block. This would appear as a small black dot when looking at the sun.

If I had the option of a small black dot to get our blue skies back, I think I'd go for the dot.

Here one for you scientists out there:

If you dispersed metallic barium (stored in kerosine...jet fuel) instead of aluminum oxide, when the barium reacted in the atmosphere it might form a barium chloride salt, removing an ozone depleting catalyst, or if it simply oxidized would it also serve as an appropriate Welsbach material?

Two for one...more bang for buck.

Just a thought.

By the way, I wonder if the "Esteemed" Dr. Patrick Minnis caught tonight's series by Dan Rather? Would this be news to him?

ACK !!ACK!!! ACK!!!!!

You geiser (Throat), you stole my thunder ! I seen that eye on America piece and teller and the whole bit....

To get to it Minnis would probably raise an eyebrow because contrails are doing what teller and company is proposing...trails are knocking out 2% world wide, I believe is the quote which is what is proposed to 'cool' the earth to return it to "before man status"...the satellite 'dot' was a 1 to 2% drop in temperature....

Maybe contrails are doing this global cooling by proxy...and maybe by design...no one's proven the latter....but it does warrant a ...Hmmmmm.....

BTW, the eye on America piece is 2 part, and concludes today.....the barium particles don't figure....but it would be funny if some ship trails were of the battle ship cannister deployment 'tests'.....

HA !

Since they couldn't put barium through a jet engine due to it's melting point, they would be wasting an awful lot of kerosene just to spray barium. Why not disperse it with something cheaper?

My speculation Deb.

The question was:

If you were concerned about BOTH global warming AND ozone depletion, would this be an acceptable chemistry?

Two birds with one stone.

Of course, this is ONLY speculation. What government would do this without first informing its population, especially if the material being used was a toxic heavy metal?

BTW,LTC8K6,

I'm not saying that the barium in the kerosine goes through the engines. I'm saying that the very reactive metallic barium is stored in kerosine to keep it from oxidizing until it is released. This is the only way that there would be an opportunity for it to react with chlorine.

Get it?

Throat, last year at this time you were screaming bloody murder over the "mortailty rate" and the flu and flu-like symptoms...

Have you given up on the sickness part of chemtrails ?

If so why not do others a favor and release your data that says nobody's getting sick from trails...?

Think about this...those greens who lobbied to shut down all those nuke plants in california, they got their wish and you now have a serious power problem in your state....

Even moreso the failed or lack of an energy policy by your green boys clinton and gore, foreign dependency has increased under the liberal energy philosophies of the last 8 years...

conservation does not work....

who loves ya baby....

One of my biggest problems with other chemtrail believers was the fact that some were claiming that chemtrails cause illness or have "evil" intentions. I believe stating claims like this hurt the credibility of the chemtrail issue and I used to try to get people to not worry about the purpose, as the logical first step is to get people to admit that they are not normal. After a large portion of American people believe CT's are not normal, then we could demand answers.

Even if the purpose of chemtrails is to help humans or the planet, that does not mean there can't be health risks involved. If this theory of reducing global warming turned out to be the real purpose of chemtrails, that does not mean that CT's still might not be making some people sick.

It will most likely be decades, before we know the truth about illnesses associated with CT's, so we might as well not concentrate on that part of the issue.

I did find the CBS story interesting, it at least proves that experiments on the scale of "chemtrails", have at least been studied.

Brent, although your statement is admirable, MY biggest problem with the "chemtrail" believers is the fact they continue, day after day, to assume that contrails made mostly by commercial jets and military maneuvers are "chemtrails." The first logical step is NOT to get people to admit they are not normal, but to get them to discover exactly what planes they are coming from and take it from there, that is, why do they look different? (change of aircraft engine, jet-fuel, cleaner air, meteorological conditions, increased air traffic, etc.) The burden of proof is on the accuser and a case has to be built from the ground up, but in this case, from the sky down. Therefore, why wouldn't anyone begin with the source?

Would any "chemtrail" believer/promoter be willing to spend life in prison because someone else said they saw a person who looked like them commit a murder?

>"I did find the CBS story interesting, it at least proves that experiments on the scale of "chemtrails", have at least been studied.">

And then some, contained in published papers corralled on Carnicom's research page collected from various sources. However, just because the science and possibilities are out there does NOT mean any of it has been implemented, especially on the scale that "chemtrails" continue to be reported.

This issue drags onward based on the formula that the obvious, contrails and what we know about them through science versus the speculative, what people are being led to believe what they could be and what they may do. Big difference.

In an era when the likes of Dan Rather and the coterie of global warming propagandists are warning us that the Earth is about to become a huge barbecue pit, the current cold wave should be a wake-up call, a sign that the blast furnace may not be the sign of the future after all.

Deb...er housewife,

You're beginning to sound like a real defender/apologist for TPTB.

Burden of proof?

Given the truly bizarre atmospheric phenomena that those who have bothered to look have been witnessing during the past couple of years, it seems to me that the proof should be that these are "just ice crystals". The emperical evidence would not support this contention.

(Atmospheric spectrographic analysis)

It's the old Bart Simpson defense...

"You didn't see me do it, you can't prove it, you ain't got nothing on me!!"

How boring...how juvenile.

Gee, Throat, I made that statement based on the fact that certain individuals are accusing TPTB for crimes against citizens. If it were the other way around, the burden of proof would be on the government, wouldn't it? Seems to me, Carnicom is working real hard on proof, no? Y'all hang on one man's word. I gave up speculating a while back and proved to myself what I was seeing. And I'm still hanging around waiting for one of you to prove something, other than speculation. And that is getting boring. SO in the interim, I've taken on a new course of study where crimes against citizens are concerned - Big Pharm.

Don't know why you would think I'm defending anybody or anything, or are you gonna a pull a DJ and accuse me of being a sleeping operative or something? When nothing else can be said, use personal attacks, right?

i agree with some of your post, but i have to take exception with one point.

"After a large portion of American people believe CT's are not normal, then we could demand answers."

how are the mass public educated in contrails and general weather science? thats like me saying "i saw something weird in the hospital today"

i am not trained in the medical profession. how can i make valid observations in that regard?

Throat,

As far as the Stratospheric Welsbach Seeding patent in conserned I think you are right. Speaking of Right as in right wing, there retoric if you read through my revised conclusion page: http://www.chemtrails.org/chemtrails/conclusion.html
shows me they would like to see global warming tabled.

Follow all the links in order that you have not seen already and read the response from a top scientist in the field of Atmospheric Studies gave me when considering the Hughes Aircraft patent. He shot it down as unsound in reasoning. Terrible Idea he said and this from a guy who would know.

I do think the logic is strong enough for those who would most suffer financialy from these pesky envirnmental treaties to curb greenhouse gasses to try it.
