Check out the statistics from the Center for Disease Control for mortality due to pneumonia and influenza:

Last year there were 33 out of 35 weeks of mortality above epidemic levels. What did the CDC do? They raised the requirement for "epidemic" levels, and doctored data to boot.
And now guess what? We're all healthier.
Really quite amazing.
And this year, the "flu" vaccination was greatly delayed....and the weather much more severe over large sections of the country (i.e., more time indoors with poor air circulation which promotes the spread of the flu)...
Nevertheless, mortality is far, far down from previous historical trends.
Really, really quite amazing.
Does this mean what they are doing is "working"?
