Thanks to all those who replied to my message. On reading it over I see all the mistakes---sorry, most of my "keys" are worn off, and I didn't have time to re-scroll to check. Her's a cute story The 100th monkey---I'm sure some of you know it refers to "critical mass". It is chronicled from a true situation by Ken Keyes Jr. It tells a story of a species of monkeys on an island that were being studied. They were being given sweet potatoes, which always wound up in the sand. After awhile a couple of monkeys started washing them in the stream nearby. Upon seeing/feeling this, more monkeys were washing their sweet potatoes, until all in the group were doing it. But that's not all. At a certain point, which Keyes calls the 100th monkey,(only figurative, the exact number is not known)not only the monkeys in that group, but all the monkeys of that species were washing their sweet potatoes. This is referred to as "critical mass". From my studies, according to Quantum Physics, the number to make this transition is amazingly small. Something like 1% of 1% of the population. (Don't quote me on that). The same principle can apply to us humans should we at some point want to do something like maybe save the planet, and we can stop bitching long enough. Naah--I don't know if it's worth it. It feels so good to blame somebody else......

desert flower, yeah... we were just talking about the 100th monkey effect. Can't remember the thread right now, but RidesTheWind has a link to a site that discusses it. Is that your site RTW?
