I thought you folks may be interested in a minor mystery. I live in a small rural farming community. Our local airport is also small, with a small local contingent of sport and pleasure planes and a couple of commerical choppers.Yesterday a British single engine jet landed here. The paper carried a small story about it, stating that no one has explained what it is doing or why it is here. However I did find out this much. It is a high altitude, atmospheric information gathering platform. No other information has been forthcoming. Now I find this rather interesting since for the last several days, yesterday and today in particular, we have been slammed extremely hard with chemtrails. Some of the trails are being lain very low. This last round of spray has knocked many of us down. Sick with diarrea, stomach pain, ache all over, and so tired it is hard to function. I will try to get some photos tomorrow, too sick to go today. What think you, my learned friends, does this sound suspicous or am I just being my usual paranoid self??? I wonder if I could "borrow" some of his samples, hmmmm, food for thought. I just learned that the plane is a Canberra.

Maybe the Brit plane is part of an independant group (like us), trying to figure this thing out? Maybe there's more of us out there than I think? Hope so.R: "Holy chemslime Batman!" B: "To the Bat-poles!!!" Hope you feel better soon David.

David, Glad to see you back utilizing your reporter skills!!...But, I always pictured you to look more like Clark Kent and not Lois Lane...you know, Supermanish! I know what ya mean though, we had afternoon "spraying" here in S.Bossier, Louisiana and the sky turned to a dirty-gray-white really fast!! The spray seemed a lighter mixture but still had the same result. Got sick later also...digestive and shakey and woozy. Blessings and be well David! Joanne ^j^ ^j^ Hi Defender ^j^

I have been seeing a large increase in trails and have also been feeling the effects of being tired and soreness. We also had that strange electric storm on Monday that had over 4000 strikes and very little rain. The spraying has also been noticed in Santa Rosa, CA area.

Well, It's in David's neck of the woods... I'm curious David, did the article you read specifically mention that these were Britsh planes?

Howdy gang, I only have a few minutes today. To answer your question Chem, yes, the article stated that these were British Canberra aircraft.I'm going to the airport again today to try and find some answers. It was not there yesterday. Today, to the east the sky is filled with the white wispy formations while the rest of the sky, so far anyway, remains clear. I will come back on later and give any additional information I can gather. I agree mark it really makes no sense. David

Thanks, David. I think I understand now. The Canberra is a British make, not neccesarily owned by a British outfit (duh).Good luck on your mission, David.

Hi,I think the Canadian AF used Canberras too. Seems like the USAF and RAF also used them in the 60's. I think they were designed and used for recon flights, like American U-2's, but with a lower speed, ceiling and less capabilties. Did you notice the tri-color insignia on the tails? They kind of look like the French flag? If it's green, white and red, it might be Italian? But the website provided by Chem11 seems to indicate they are for hire to anyone, or anyone involved in high-altitude research and not part of a national Air Force(?). David, in your first post, you said that it was a single-engined jet, but Canberras are twin-engines. Maybe we are talking about two different kinds of aircraft here?

For what it's worth, that tri-color may also be a Russian flag? Some are horizontal, like Russias, and some are vertical, like Frances. But then Russia probably wouldn't be using Canberras. And this tri-color is vertical, like French flag?Lots of countries use tri-color flags, so it could be a lot of different countries, or no indication of a country at all. Interesting that is doesn't seem to have any FAA type ID numbers etc. Maybe research aircraft don't need them?

The airplane deal turned out a bust. It was a Canberra, painted red. When I got back to the airport it was gone. The only information I could glean was from the hanger personel and the restaurant. Each said it was just a stop over and they had no more information about the whys or whats of the visit other than that. Sorry about that folks, no story here. David
