Tuesday: Current Solar Data:
Soar X-rays - Active Geomagnetic Field - Quiet

A clear blue sky here today until around 3:00 p.m. when the guys and/or gals up there began there mission of dumping/spraying whatever from horizon to horizon throwing in a few X patterns as well. By 5:00 the once blue sky was quickly becoming white.

Side Note: Tonight on PBS the Nova episode was about bio-warfare and in some of the film footage there were planes shown laying down what we now call chemtrails. There was one plane shown that flew for 100 miles disseminating a fine dust for the purpose of seeing what geographic coverage would be obtained. The scene of this looked very similar to what I see on a regular basis around here. In any case, the program was spooky. At the end of the show there was an 800# to call to purchase a video of the program. I didn't get the number. If interested, it can probably be found through the PBS web site.

I tried looking at the plane using binoculars, it was hard to see but appeared to be blueish white in color. It seems to blend well with the sky. Has anyone else had a good look at one of these planes?

With the recent talk about solar radiation, I did a little surfing on the subject today. I found this mention of the connection between sunspots and x-ray and UV radiation. Sunspots have been high in the last couple of years, perhaps this is a big "sunscreen" for as many people as can be covered? Regardless, I wish we were better informed on the subject and possible measures by our government.

MSFC Solar Physics Branch members Wilson, Hathaway, and Reichmann have studied the sunspot record for characteristic behavior that might help in predicting future sunspot activity. Our current predictions of solar activity for the next few years can be found at this link. Although sunspots themselves produce only minor effects on solar emissions, the magnetic activity that accompanies the sunspots can produce dramatic changes in the ultraviolet and soft x-ray emission levels. These changes over the solar cycle have important consequences for the Earth's upper atmosphere.

We had almost a normal sunset for a change tonight. The eastern sky, however, was sort of bruised looking tinged with blue? (more of a blackish blue) - purple? - pink? and gray?. No sign of any trails though.

I've been reading up on ozone levels. It might be interesting to track protective ozone levels in addition to CME's and Chemtrails. The ozone levels around the world fluctuate daily, and are tracked by the NASA TOMS satellite. There are great charts you can generate on the fly at http://toms.gsfc.nasa.gov/eptoms/ep.html

Literature states that the "ozone hole" we have all heard about is defined as below 220 Dobson units of ozone. If you look at the chart for Feb 11 for example, the Dobson count for much of California was 250-275, South Florida was 200-225. These counts seem pretty low. The UV index you see in typical weather reports is balanced by other factors as well.

Bob B, are you thinking the government is putting up sunscreen at key times in expectation of a immenent "kill shot" type CME from the sun that may scorch the Earth?
