Sounds real familiar here in Greenwich Deborah. I'm almost tempted to go out and buy a humidifier it's so bad here. The sky is covered by patchy haze, odd looking trails similar to those pictured on the home page. The sky was clear for a while today but it just started creeping in from the west around 3:00. I just saw a jet traveling SW spraying a few minutes ago. Solar X-Rays:ACTIVE Geomagnetic:QUIET

Thanks, Krissa!Readers please note: Boston, MA and Greenwich, CT are both COASTAL cities. The above-referenced and increasing general DRYNESS of the atmosphere along the New England coast is NOT NORMAL for this region. Krissa, it is 6:45pm here as I write. The sun is virtually BLINDING right now, as it has been all day today. But at its current, pre-setting angular relationship to earth it is simply not possible to even look in its general direction, let alone anywhere near it. It is, literally, like a phosphorescent white blow torch lacerating the sky. The heat of it is literally burning into my skin sitting 6 feet from my northwest-facing window. I do not exaggerate. Are you observing this down there?

I am experiencing something similar here Deborah. We have what appears to be a storm front moving in from the west and there appears to be a greasy looking gray and black haze almost totally obstructing the sun now. White haze-like clouds are still blowing in from the west and the jets are now spraying in the western part of the sky in front of the approaching storm front. - Why am I not surprised by this? - Well at least I'm not really thirsty anymore. I mixed gingerale with apple juice and club soda and feel much better, but my skin is starting to itch now. BTW, I'm looking out my north facing window and the clouds are starting to look sort of pinkish and black and really weird.

I just went outside again and the haze is really thick around the storm front and the clouds that looked to be pretty substantial earlier, look like whisps of black smoke in the haze now. - It's almost like the haze is sucking the moisture right out of the clouds.

.....It's almost like the haze is sucking the moisture right out of the clouds..... YES. I've also watched clouds completely *disintegrate* in a matter of minutes under the conditions you describe and have a great deal of serial photographic documentation.
Check this out: 2 May 2002 Scripps Howard News Service Pollution particles rob storms of rain Tiny airborne particles of pollution can rob tropical thunderstorms of much of their rain, but their presence in the tops of hurricanes may actually help strengthen the storms, new studies funded by NASA show. Steven Sherwood of Yale University used data from several NASA and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration satellites to study how the particles, or aerosols, affect towering clouds that produce large thunderstorms in the tropics. "I found that aerosols depress the size of ice crystals in thunderclouds over land and oceans, and as a result, may reduce precipitation," said Sherwood, whose study is published in the May issue of the American Meteorological Society Journal of Climate. Common aerosols include mineral dust, smoke and sulfates. The particles are a necessary element for clouds to form, but too many particles make water or ice droplets so small that they're more likely to evaporate directly into a gas rather than fall as rain. Previous studies have shown that ice particles are smaller in the upper reaches of thunderclouds when there is more pollution and when the rising air in the clouds (convection) is stronger. Over regions where widespread burning of land takes place to clear it for farming, such as the Amazon River basin, aerosols have been found to reduce the diameter of ice crystals in clouds by as much as 20 percent. In areas over deserts, like Africa's Sahel region, where dust is the primary pollutant, there was a 10 percent decrease in the diameter of ice crystals. Sherwood found the crystals are smaller in clouds over continents than oceans, which could be because there's more pollution generated over land. But the denser clouds also seem to play a role in how much of solar energy is reflected back into space. Earlier this week, Andrew Heymsfield, a researcher from the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colo., reported that a research flight into Hurricane Humberto last year found a large number of ice particles, some up to 7 millimeters across, in the upper reaches of the storm, about 39,000 feet high. "We've found that a high concentration of small particles at the top portion of a hurricane (is) very reflective and they send more energy back into space than previously thought," said Heymsfield, who presented findings before an AMS conference on hurricane and tropical meteorology. Large concentrations of small ice crystals can reflect more sunlight and lead to strong cooling near the tops of hurricanes, creating more of a temperature contrast between the bottom and top of the storm. That contrast in temperatures could possibly increase a hurricane's strength, just as a cold front moving into warm, moist air triggers powerful thunderstorms. On the other hand, having more of the hurricane's mass (in water and ice) near the top of the storm could mean that it's losing some of its energy potential in the form of heavy rain through evaporation into the upper atmosphere, Heymsfield and colleagues noted. By including the new information in computer models of hurricanes, though, it should eventually help improve forecasters' ability to predict whether storms are intensifying or waning, Heymsfield said. http://www.knoxstudio.com/shns/story.cfm?pk=DUSTCLOUDS-05-02-02&cat=AS Re: carbonated drinks - carbon is tough on the kidneys. Better to avoid carbonated drinks. Also, apples and apple juice tend to dry out your system if you're a *thin, mentally-oriented* type of constitution. Try switching to grape juice if you are this constitutional type.

I've read Krissa's posts and I saw the same things as she did. I was at my usual location to view the sunset and the sky was a real mess especially on the western horizon. I counted 5 jets spraying in front of the storm front that was moving in from the west. The humidity went up a little bit but we got no precipitation at all. Any clouds that were ahead of the front were being evaporated by the haze. Before sunset, I did note that the sun seemed to be hotter than normal but all solar readings were normal. Right now the sky is filled with patches of haze and I almost wish I had a good thermal imaging camera to get a better look at what's going on up there. The temperature is 52 degrees with 66% humidity.

The sky is full of haze, chem-clouds and trails. There was even a gigantic fat trail in the sky today for a while. According to an animation I ran on satellite data at the rap-ucar site, the trail was formed somewhere over Pennsylvania and blew in our direction and took up a good portion of the NW sky. It was hovering over us for a while but I lost track of it visually now. The chem-jets have been spraying us pretty good since 12:30 and are still spraying now. The sun really feels like a "blow torch" today and the temperature is 74 degrees with 20% humidity.Solar X-rays:ACTIVE - Geomagnetic QUIET

N.Calif skies are now full of haze and lines. Low flyers doing the job today. Information from friends on the Calif coast says that they are flying very low off the coast in central and N.Calif and it is getting very hazy there.

Very bad here. All those jets I saw yesterday were busy I see. Total white out mostly with some mazy blue. I saw many trails being laid down with contrails suddenly becoming huge monsters. It started here by 6:00 AM and isa still going on now. Yes the sun is scorching.

AArgh! more and more spraying right over me here. The "classic" corduroy lines in rows across the sky. Heck they are even flying the opposite direction they usually go in here on about half the trails. Another major blasting here...

Eyesopen -Yes, quite the Haze Fest today, eh? I was up before 6:30am, too - things got off to an early start today. And that sun - no joke. It is BLINDING. You don't need a solar reading to notice THAT. Everyone with children - please see to their eye protection. Hats, cool little sunglasses, whatever makes sense.

The sky was hazy this morning and the haze is beginning to thicken now. I spotted the first chem-jet traveling SW spraying at 12:05 but the trail dissipated in less than a minnnute. I then saw a econd jet traveling in the same direction spraying at 12:49 but this time the trail did not totally dissipate. The parts of it that remained began to spread out into clouds. There are a few more slightly dissipated trails in the sky now and the sky, depending where you look, is either battle ship gray, blue gray or light gray in color. The temperature is 78 degrees with 34% humidity.Solar X-rays:ACTIVE - Geomagnetic:QUIET

Yesterday was a max spray day here. It was also unusual because they were spraying in the opposite direction from what they usually do. Very hazy and whitish out there now. Just caught a sprayer near me and a little buddy following right behind with normal contrail. The spraying jet was leaving a normal contrail at first too... http://www.chemtrailcentral.com/cgi-bin/db-search.cgi?tem plate=img-detail&dbname=img&key2=1508&action=searchdbdisplay

5-6-02 HEAVY Spraying going on as I type. St. Louis just can't escape whatever it really is! Large white puffy x's yesterday that eventually led to cloud cover then produced rain overnight. Rain most of today but this evening as skies cleared the trails appeared and have started the process all over again. I find it a shame that with all the knowledge and smarts on this site, we can't seem to collectively do shit to get somewhere. I noticed were holding at eight hundred sixty members, does this indicate to anyone we might just lose out due to the inability to get people to look up and see the truth as opposed to their usual rose-colored view of those oh so pretty airplane trails?

The sky is real nasty looking and filled with haze, odd looking clouds and dissipated old fat trails. The jets were spraying a while ago but I haven't seen a fresh trail in over an hour. The northern sky looks real weird for some reason. It looks almost like it's sort of a greenish yellow gray color. The temperature is an almost unbelievable 80 degrees with 47% humidity. The sun is feeling like a blowtorch and is actually acting like one today too. Solar X-Rays:M CLASS FLARE - Geomagnetic:UNSETTLED

SPRAYING IN SPOKANE, WA.Wednesday the first of May started out clear blue - heavy spraying left a thick haze that dropped on the whole city - you could only see the skyline in any direction for about 2-3 miles. dry eyes - the following days brought cloud cover and cold - first time I've ever seen it snow in may. Sat night. my baby has a fever of 104 & puking, lasts 2 days - Sun. I am dizzy, sore throat, itchy eyes. I am always tired now - I go to bed w/ my daughter at 9:30 and just can't get motivated enough to rise and work - which is the norm. I am suspicious of our sicknesses and the weather. this bothers me.

Day three or so of a real assault on the sky here. The sky is just plain old white now. Here is a photo of 5 jets sharing some airspace with each other - I think there was one more even that didn't show up due to white background... http://www.chemtrailcentral.com/cgi-bin/db-search.cgi?template=img-detail&dbname=img&key2=1512&action=searchdbdisplay

.....The sky is just plain old white now.....Yep. It has been that way for most of the afternoon. Interesting that one can *almost* see the sky itself through this blanket of fairly uniform upper-altitude white haze. Interesting also that the *blinding* sun of the past two days still manages to make its heat felt just as intensely through *this particular level* of haze cover. Why, it's downright tropical is what it is. 78 degrees at 4:45pm.

The past three days have been as bad as I've seen it here. Absolutely astounding. They are still at here and the weird mass of uniform particulate haze is gigantic. It is a joke to think that anything else is going on other than a spray program. Maybe you don't have it as bad where you live and see things different, but here in Southern Maine it is impossible to come to any other conclusion from the past three days. It is freaky here...
