What is a chemtrail? This question is prompted by some discussions which have occurred recently in another forum. Some trails last only a few seconds. Are those chemtrails? Skywriting happens. Is skywriting chemtrails? Clouds are sometimes seeded with silver iodide. Does spraying a cloud with silver iodide constitute the production of chemtrails? I would say that these phenomena are NOT chemtrails. (But you might disagree.) On the other hand...I think that spraying Dyn-O-Gel on a cloud to change the weather probably IS a chemtrail.
And I'd say that jettisoning jet fuel at altitude would qualify as a chemtrail, too. What do you think?

Well, this is from the FAQs page... quote:
What are Chemtrails?Streaks of chemicals created in the air by spray systems on airplanes at any altitude. Chemicals are sprayed via planes for many purposes including crop dusting and mosquito control. Also fuel is sometimes dumped to reduce weight before landing. But within the Chemtrail observer community Chemtrails are the product of an active large scale operation. Chemtrails are said to vary from contrails in their length of persistence.
Perhaps that definition can be improved upon...

What is a chemtrail? What it is not is what I saw today. The first in a very long time, a real contrail in a real blue sky. Something about the shape and gradation...tail tinged oranger, and disipation characteristics which denotes a true contrail. A chemtrail is a long cloud-like thing that blurs reality and obscures the sun and dulls the mind. Components are optional.

I've noticed that FLKook, mark sky and Chem11 think I shouldn't pursue the fuel dump issue because obviously not all chemtrails are fuel dumps. My question is this:Does everybody here think that all chemtrails are produced by the same cause?

I think they are formed for different reasons and by different causes. The fuel dump issue should remain alive as long as there is someone willing to help you research and that there is evidence that perhaps more than 127 dumps a year occur. When I heard 127 per year, it didn't seem like dumps could be much of the equation, and we could move on to bigger fish. If you've got contradictory info than as a scientist and tenacious brainiac(...a compliment!!!!!) then you must continue your research.

3T3- I agree that Dyno-gel probably constitutes a chemtrail, including supercooled clouds and/or fog. And barium release "experiments"; Ionization of the atmosphere for laser/communication applications by the military as well as DOD biowarfare testing/prevention. To me, all of these are a cause of chemtrails. I have read with great interest all of your research on fuel-dumping. The amount of fuel that is evidently being needlessly dumped infuriates me. It shoud be stopped. And I'm sure that fuel-dumping constitutes a small percentage of chemtral reports. But not most.
