However, on the way to work today, I witnessed the most amazing thing.

A plane was flying STRIGHT UP... And there was a comit trail behind it.. I watched for several minutes.. As soon as the trails started getting longer behind the plane, the plane decided to start flying across the sky, thus leaving the nice trail behind it that was persistent for almost an hour.

I find it interesting, because it appeared to me that the plane was LOOKING for an altitude at which the trails would persist..

On santa ana wind days, it's very hard for them to persist, due to the atmospheric conditions, so I found it quite fascinating the way it flew up with a comit trail that disappeared until it found the right altitude..
