Stolen Skies: The Chemtrail Mystery Jet Trails in the Sky Used to Disappear. Now they Linger. by William Thomas
It was around noon on March 12, 2000 when S.T. Brendt, the late night reporter for WMWV Radio, entered the kitchen of her country home in Parsonsfield, Maine. Her partner, Lou Aubuchont, was puzzling over what he had seen in the sky a half-hour before. The fat puffy plumes arching up over the horizon were unlike any aircraft condensation trails ("contrails") he had ever seen. Instead of dissipating like normal contrails, these intersecting sky trails grew wider and began to merge. Looking towards the sun, Aubuchont saw what appeared like "an oil and water mixture" reflecting a prismatic band of colors. Ordinarily, contrails flare briefly in the stratosphere as hot moist engine exhaust flash-freezes into a stream of ice-crystals. These pencil-thin condensation trails are short-lived, evaporating into invisibility as exhaust gases cool quickly to the surrounding air temperature. As National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) meteorologist Thomas Schlatter explains, the formation of condensation trails requires temperatures lower than about minus 76 F and humidity of 70 percent or more. Because the Federal Aviation Authority requires military tankers and transporters to cross continental airspace at altitudes below 30,000 feet, ensuring safe separation from airliners flying between 35,000 and 39,000 feet, these military flights should leave no contrails at all. But in late 1997, Aubuchont began to notice thicker trails extending from horizon to horizon. Hanging in the sky, these expanding white ribbons would invariably be interwoven by more thick lines left by unmarked Air Force jets, white or silver in color. As Brendt glanced out the window, it looked like another gorgeous, cloudless day. But not quite. She spotted two jets laying billowing white banners to the north. Turning her gaze due west, Brendt saw two more lines extending over the horizon. She called Lou. Within 45 minutes, the couple counted 30 jets. "This isn't right," Brendt thought. "We just don't have that kind of air traffic here." While Aubuchont kept counting, Brendt started calling airports. Alerted by a call from Brendt, Richard Dean, WMWV's assistant news director and the WMWV news staff filed outside and counted 370 lines of persistent contrails in skies usually devoid of aerial activity. Brendt phoned a number of Air Traffic Controllers. They all stated that nothing unusual was going on. After several calls, Brendt reached one ATC manager who offered a different story. He told Brendt that his radars showed nine commercial jets during the same 45-minute span. From her location, he said, she should have been able to see only one plane. "What about the other 29?" Brendt inquired. The ATC official confided off-the-record that he had been ordered "by higher civil authority" to re-route inbound European airliners away from an airborne "military exercise" in the area. "They wouldn't give me any of the particulars and I don't ask," he explained. The controller (who insisted on being identified only as "Deep Sky,") subsequently repeated his statements on tape before witnesses at the WMWV studio. 'It's a Military Exercise' On December 8, 2000, Terry Stewart, the Manager for Planning and Environment at the Victoria International Airport, responded to a caller's complaint about the strange patterns of circles and grids being woven over the British Columbia capitol. Stewart left a message on an answering machine tape - a message that later was heard by more than 15 million radio listeners. Stewart explained: "It's a military exercise, [a] US and Canadian Air Force exercise that's going on. They wouldn't give me any specifics on it." Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Comox on Vancouver Island is Canada's biggest radar installation. CFB Comox is easily capable of tracking the US formations coming up from the south. When asked for a response to Stewart's statement, the base information officer at CFB Comox replied tersely that: "No military operation is taking place." Stewart later told the Vancouver Courier that his information had come directly from Comox. By the summer of 2001, pictures of contrails were being circulated by the Associated Press and the word "chemtrails" could be overheard in coffee shop conversations across the continent 'It's a Hoax' In an April 20, 2001, letter to a US senator, Col. Walter Washbaugh, chief of the Congressional Inquiry Division for the Secretary of the Air Force in Washington, DC, called chemtrails "a hoax." Washbaugh blamed the increased number of contrails on "significant civil aviation growth in the past decade." He is right on that score. A National Science Foundation study has found that in certain heavily trafficked corridors, artificial cloud cover has increased by as much as 20 percent. Colonel Washbaugh ascribed widely reported grid patterns to overlapping aircraft flying north-south, east-west airways. The only thing wrong with this explanation, a Texas air traffic controller told me, is that US airways do not run north-south. The colonel told the senator: "The Air Force is not conducting any weather modification and has no plans to do so in the future." In fact, the Pentagon has long been interested in using weather as a weapon of war. Attempts to steer hurricanes by spraying heat-robbing chemicals in their paths date from the 1950s. The recipe for creating "cirrus shields" was outlined in a 1996 US Air Force study subtitled "Owning the Weather by 2025." The report explained how "weather force specialists" were dispersing chemicals behind high-flying tanker aircraft in a process called "aerial obscuration." Official denials reached new altitudes of absurdity when another colonel claimed: "The US Air Force (USAF) does not conduct spraying operations over populated areas." Apparently the colonel had forgotten how USAF air tankers dispensed thousands of tons of "Agent Orange" defoliants over the land and people of Vietnam. Meanwhile, the Internet was abuzz with chemtrail conspiracy theories ranging from aliens leaving messages in the sky to government agencies dumping mind-control chemicals on an unsuspecting populace. The only problem was none of the theories were plausible. The Welsbach Patent In 1994, the Hughes aerospace company was issued a remarkable patent. The Welsbach patent "for Reduction of Global Warming" proposed countering global warming by dispensing microscopic particles of aluminum oxide and other reflective materials into the upper atmosphere. This "sky shield" would reflect one or two percent of incoming sunlight. The patent suggested that tiny metal flakes could be "added to the fuel of jet airliners, so that the particles would be emitted from the jet engine exhaust while the airliner was at its cruising altitude." Computer simulations by Ken Caldeira at California's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) calculated that employing Welsbach's chemical-sunscreen technology could stop warming over 85 percent of the planet, despite an anticipated doubling of atmospheric carbon within the next 50 years. LLNL estimated the cost of creating thisso-called Sky Shield at $1 billion dollars a year - a cheap fix to avoid threatening the massive profits of the oil industry. At the 1998 International Seminar on Planetary Emergencies, Edward Teller, the "Father of the H-bomb," presented his Next Big Idea. Teller called for spreading reflective chemicals over the Earth to act like a mirror-shade. If it was impossible to protect the entire planet, these chemical sky shields could, at least, be extended to cover allies who secretly agreed to allow this unprecedented geo-engineering experiment to be carried out over their territory. In the July-August 1998 Science and Technology Review, Teller argued that the Sky Shield offered a more "realistic" option for addressing global warming than drastic cutbacks in CO2 emissions. When asked if the technology was being pursued, Teller replied: "To my knowledge the answer is negative.... My recommendation was a tentative one depending on further evidence whether expecting global warming is realistic." In fact, the technology already exists. In 1975, the US Navy patented a device for producing "a powder contrail having maximum radiation-scattering ability." The powder contained a mixture of 0.3 micron-sized titanium dioxide pigment particles coated with 0.007 micron hydrophobic colloidal silica and 4.5 micron particles of silica gel. The purpose of the apparatus was "to generate contrails or reflective screens for any desired purpose." The Welsbach Patent proposed using "very fine, talcum-like" powder of 10 to 100 micron-sized aluminum oxide to produce a "pure white plume" in the sky. In a May 2000 draft report submitted to the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), an expert panel chosen from among 3,000 atmospheric scientists, concluded that Teller's scheme might work. But the IPCC warned against unpredictable upsets of the atmosphere. The panel also warned against angry populaces reacting to "the associated whitening of the visual appearance of the sky." Caldeira was so concerned that he went public. Deflecting sunlight would further cool the stratosphere, he warned, and this could intensify icy clouds of ozone-gobbling CFCs that could destroy the ozone layer - the Earth's already damaged solar radiation shield. Was Teller's Sky Shield experiment already underway? During his interview with WMWV reporters, Deep Sky hinted that it was. Were the tankers observed on ATC radars involved in climate modification? Our FAA source hesitated before responding: "That approximates what I was told." Similar military activities were ongoing in other regions, he stated. Chemtrails and Health Problems The Internet buzzes with conspiracy theories about chemtrails being used as part of a secret government biological experiment. But after more than three years of intense investigation, I have found no proof that chemtrails constitute a deliberate biological attack. (To be effective, bio-attacks must conducted close to the ground and never in daylight, in order to avoid ultraviolet sterilization of toxins.) In the spring of 1998, rain falling through heavy chemtrails over Espanola, Ontario was found to contain concentrations of aluminum particles seven times higher than permitted by Canadian health safety laws. Provincial health officials ordered tests after residents began complaining about severe headaches, chronic joint pain, dizziness, sudden extreme fatigue, acute asthma attacks and feverless "flu-like" symptoms. The results of the test were not released. The reports of illness all came from residents inside a 50-square-mile area who complained that they had been subjected to "months of spraying" by photo-identified US Air Force tanker planes. The USAF denied the intrusions. On November 18, 1998, Canadian Opposition Party Defense Critic Gordon Earle petitioned Parliament on behalf of the people of Espanola. Speaking on behalf of Canada's New Democratic Party, Earle stated: "Over 500 residents of the Espanola area have signed a petition raising concern over possible government involvement in what appears to be aircraft emitting visible aerosols. They have found high traces of aluminum and quartz in particulate and rainwater samples. These concerns combined with associated respiratory ailments have led these Canadians to take action and seek clear answers from this government. The petitioners call upon Parliament to repeal any law that would permit the dispersal of military chaff or of any cloud-seeding substance whatsoever by domestic or foreign military aircraft without the informed consent of the citizens of Canada thus affected." A Harvard School of Public Health team determined that particulates with a diameter less than 10 microns (one-tenth the thickness of a human hair) pose a serious threat to public health. On April 21, 2001, the New York Times warned: "These microscopic motes are able to infiltrate the tiniest compartments in the lungs and pass readily into the bloodstream, and have been most strongly tied to illness and early death, particularly in people who are already susceptible to respiratory problems." On December 14, 2000, the New England Journal of Medicine reported that inhaling particulate matter of a size 10 microns or smaller leads to "a 5 percent increased death rate within 24 hours." Teller's sunscreen calls for spraying 10 million tons of talcum-fine reflective particulates of 10 to 100 micron sizes. Congress Addresses Chemtrails On October 2, 2001, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) introduced the "Space Preservation Act of 2001" (HR 2977), which called for the elimination of "exotic weaponry" from space. Among the weapons to be banned were weather-modifying weapons such as HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) and chemtrails. Though HR 3616 was later amended to remove the section that would have banned chemtrails, the original bill acknowledging the existence of chemtrail technology remains on the pages of the Congressional Record. With "chemtrails" now officially admitted by the US government, an even bigger trial is set to begin in the court of public opinion. An earlier version of this report appeared in the October-November 2001 issue of Nexus Magazine [PO Box 30, Mapleton Qld 4560 Australia. www.nexusmagazine.com]. Edited reprint. Not available for distribution. Chemtrails Go Global Sightings of oddly lingering plumes sometimes resembling rocket trails are not confined to North American skies.
While on leave in Italy in the summer of 1999, the US Navy's Kitty Chastain sat on her hotel balcony and watched aerial grids being laid all day just offshore over the Bay of Naples. In Spain, on April 27, 2000, American tourist John Hendricks dashed off a quick email from El Café de Internet: "Were we surprised to see that the chemtrails are as bad here as they are anywhere, both in Mallorca and in Barcelona." "Add Sweden to the list," a Swedish resident wrote after spotting eight to 10 parallel contrails. "I know the commercial routes, and we have a bunch of them, but not where these trails were." Chemtrail activity has been reported in at least 14 allied nations including Australia, Belgium, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Scotland, Sweden and the United States. Chemtrail photos from France, Australia, Scotland and Germany may be viewed on the author's website [www3.bc.sympatico.ca/Willthomas]. Another Scary Scenario According to the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Co., the only way to form artificial clouds in warm dry air is to introduce enough particulates into the atmosphere to attract and accrete all available moisture into visible vapor. If repeated often enough, the resulting rainless haze can lead to drought.
Patrick Minnis, an atmospheric researcher with California Environmental Resources Evaluation System (CERES) and ardent chemtrails critic at NASA's Langley Research Center, reports that cirrus cloud cover over the US is up 5 percent overall because particulates in engine exhaust are acting as cloud-forming nuclei. As the number of flights currently exceeds 15 million annually worldwide, artificial clouds will intensify as air travel continues to climb. Perhaps the appearance of chemtrails is a "sign from on high" that our atmosphere has become dangerously burdened with pollutants. Copyright Earth Island Journal

Some of us figured this out quite awhile ago. What I want to know is WHEN this problem is going to be OPENLY addressed, as it SHOULD be. Clearly, from a strictly observational perspective, conditions have gotten progressively WORSE, particularly in some regions, over the last three years, and particularly over this last year. I DO NOT feel that accumulating aircraft emissions pollutants are our ONLY problem - but I DO feel the true status of this issue is NOT being addressed HONESTLY where the American people are concerned. The economy, you know...

Or is it just a cover for the possible fact that these "intensifying artificial clouds" are being deliberately produced by only a pre-determined PERCENTAGE of the total number of aircraft in flight at any given time? Which is it?? Or is it both?? This is not a difficult question under the rather obvious circumstances.

IT'S THE SMOG! http://channels.netscape.com/ns/news/ns/story.jsp?floc=FF-PLS-PLS&id=404993786&dt=20020829141100&w=RTR&coview= Summer Smog May Double in 2002 quote: WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of times unhealthy smog levels blanketed U.S. states rose 10 percent during the summer of 2001, and may double this year, according to a study released Thursday by the U.S. Public Interest Research Group.Ground-level ozone, known also as smog, is worst during summer months when hot temperatures react with chemicals spewed by cars, trucks and power plants to form a gas which causes respiratory ailments. The American Lung Association has estimated 141 million people -- or half of the U.S. population -- lives where smog levels are high enough to cause serious health problems such as asthma, eye and throat irritation and headaches. During 2001 summer months, ozone levels exceeded federal health limits at least 4,634 times in 42 states and the District of Columbia, according to the new report by PIRG, an environmental advocacy group. That was up 10 percent from the number of unsafe days in 2000. The trend appears to be worsening. Preliminary data for 2002 showed ozone levels for 21 states are already up 23 percent from 2001, PIRG said. The smog data "should cause alarm bells to go off among state and federal policy makers," PIRG said in its report. California, Pennsylvania and Texas were the smoggiest states in 2001, followed by Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey and North Carolina, PIRG said. Regionally, levels in New England, the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest rose from 2000 to 2001, while those in the Southeast and West fell, PIRG said. UTILITY POLLUTION RULES PIRG offered the report as a reason for the Bush administration to reconsider a plan to relax pollution rules when U.S. utilities repair or expand their power plants -- the so-called "New Source Review" rules. A Democratic-led Senate panel said it would hold a hearing next Tuesday to look at the White House plan to ease air pollution rules. Scheduled to testify are Christine Todd Whitman, the current head of the Environmental Protection Agency, and Carol Browner, the EPA administrator under the Clinton administration. Cars and trucks generate about one-third of all nitrogen oxides, the precursor to smog. Other major sources are power plants, which contribute 23 percent, and off-road vehicles at 22 percent, PIRG said. Ozone, an invisible, odorless gas, is formed when nitrogen oxides from power plants, cars and other sources mix with other chemicals in the presence of sunlight. The highest health risk from smog is from early May to mid-August, when particulates in the air react most strongly to heat and sunlight. The Edison Electric Institute, a utility lobbying group, said U.S. air quality has improved over the last three decades despite increases in power output and U.S. economic growth. "We can't control the weather, which does contribute to ozone," said Dan Riedinger, a spokesman for the industry group. "But we can control our emissions, and they are coming down." Utilities in the Midwest and Eastern U.S. will curtail their ozone emissions to achieve an industrywide 40 percent reduction by 2004 under existing regulations, he said. The Clean Air Act required the Environmental Protection Agency to set nationwide standards for ozone. In 1997, the EPA adopted the current standard that ozone cannot exceed 0.08 parts per million over an eight-hour period, but the agency has said it will not apply the standard because of a number of court challenges. In May, nearly a dozen U.S. health and environmental groups threatened to sue the EPA to end what they called "foot dragging" by the agency. PIRG's report was based on data on eight-hour measurements from 1,121 stationary monitors gathered from the EPA and other state agencies.
emphasis provided. No, the utilities can't control the weather....

deborah, you spent some time posting query about what I have thought for years about what people call *chemtrails*.... a good majority of the reports for *chemtrails* are from airline hub areas...and frequently traveled routes... to me (repeating myself yet again) it is a very real possibility that aircraft exhaust may pose a environmental problem...I don't think canex would disagree with that statement... for the standard of living we all enjoy in this country...commerce and travel via the internal combustion engine must continue...whether you or I like it or not...so alternitives must be demanded by the public...demand drives costs down, and increases availibility... so if your a hydrogen proponent...you need to be proactive...if you like solar power, contract a solar collector on your property and take yourself off the grid...if your a wind turbine dude...throw a few of them up, and be proactive about it.... but don't mis-label your cause as *chemtrails*.... because that's not where the solutions to our potenial problems reside.... ------------------ T/S

Farting cows contribute to air pollution, believe it or not. But it's not a major source of pollution. Again, the aircraft industry has made significant strides in the past years to improve fuel efficiency and cut down on emissions. The auto industry hasn't even come close.Just because something produces pollution of some sort doesn't mean we should condemn it and demonize it by insisting that the Earth is going to Hell in a handbasket courtesy of Boeing 767s, et al.

Show me where I've **demonized** the aircraft industry, and specifically Boeing. Show me where I've done anything aside from providing references to repeatedly documented FACTUAL information. Thank you. Nothing personal, by the way. Also, while it may still be true that aircraft emissions at the tropopause and in the lower stratosphere are not the major source of our problems, the fact is that aircraft emissions are the _FASTEST GROWING_ source of trouble in our atmosphere. This issue has been repeatedly studied and documented over the last ten years at least. It is WHERE these emissions take place that is the problem. [Thank you again, GAS_MASK.]

Contrails can linger in an area for the same reasons that cloudcover may linger or dissipate. Cities especially will show much variability in how long contrail stick around. here are metiorological considerations to be taken into account as well as DOR buildup in the area cause by a number of factors. Chemtrails simply don't exist. I have lived in one of these "chemtrail infested" areas for years and have bever seen anything but jet contrails that behave just like the surrounding clouds behave. This chemtrail nonsense is going to cause trouble for everyone in the long run because it is unwise to cry wolf just because some people associated with Jeff Rense want to make money. http://www.orgonelab.org/

Let's try this again:Re: Minnis: .....As the number of flights currently exceeds 15 million annually worldwide, artificial clouds will intensify as air travel continues to climb..... And this is OK??? Or is it just a cover for the possible fact that these "intensifying artificial clouds" are being deliberately produced by only a pre-determined PERCENTAGE of the total number of aircraft in flight at any given time? Do we have a pre-determined percentage of aircraft "running dirty", yes or no? This is not a difficult question under the rather obvious circumstances. ADDENDUM: So, essentially, it is OK that the sky over many regions of this country is now clogged/saturated/filled with and OBLITERATED by cOnTrAiLs aka aircraft-generated "artificial clouds" EASILY over 50% of the time now, right? No PROBLEM there, right? Why is it so freeking difficult to answer this ONE very simple, direct question? A yes or no will do nicely. Spare me the condescending lectures on semantics and alternative energy awareness. You're not dealing with an idiot here. Thank you.

In any given city neighborhood, radio broadcast towers, airport radars, and microwave telephone communications towers also constitute hazards, and producers of oranur. Like microwave ovens, and TV sets, they are allowed to leak relatively high levels of radiation into their local environments. Infrared automatic door opening sensors, or automatic light switches, also operate closer to the microwave end of the infrared spectrum, as do library or commercial inventory scanners, which are designed to stop petty larceny. These smaller sensors are powerful enough to trigger your automobile police radar detector at several hundred yards, and may pose a danger to workers who sit near to them day after day; the actual risk here is simply unknown. Like microwave ovens and TV sets, they are allowed to expose the "average" person with an "average" dose, which is irrationally assumed to be harmless. Until more is known about them, you should err on the side of caution. Do not site an accumulator near any of these devices. Nuclear plants likewise are permitted to vent (or rather, dump) significant quantities of measurable radiation into the cooling water and ventilation air that passes through the facilities. Aside from the fact that the local population breathes and often drinks this waste, which can accumulate in the food chain, there is the problem of oranur and dor. Both are created by nuclear plants, and the atmospheric energy in these areas will be affected, with one qualitative state predominating over the other. Sensitive people can literally feel the difference in a region after a nuclear reactor has been operating for a period, and careful observations will sometimes reveal changes in weather patterns. Underground atomic bomb tests are perhaps the worst offenders, as they badly shock and agitate the orgone energy field of the entire planet. There is some evidence suggesting that severe weather extremes, such as drought or severe storms, plus epidemics of "flu" symptoms, may be triggered by underground atomic bomb tests, through a widespread disturbance of the Earth's energy field. Some evidence, currently under review, has suggested that the entire Earth is disturbed in its rotational dynamics, and the upper atmosphere overheated and perturbed, by underground atomic bomb tests. These kinds of effects make no sense whatsoever from the viewpoint of classical biology and physics, which denies the existence of any vital energy principle, and assumes that space is "empty". From the standpoint of orgone biophysics, these effects do make sense. Biophysically, the oranur effect can be felt by sensitive individuals as a jumpy, overexcited, possibly heated or slightly feverish feeling. One may feel a constant agitation; some people may mildly contract when it is present, while tempers may flare among others. Severe oranur affects each person at their weakest point, and tends to drive latent medical symptoms to the surface. The palms of the hands may exhibit a mottled characteristic, and sleep may be nearly impossible. There is a tendency towards inability to maintain a coherent focus upon work or other activities. The atmospheric expression of oranur is also one of overcharge. Skies may maintain a strong blue color, but significant haziness will appear on the horizon. Clouds do not coalesce or grow under oranur conditions, partly because the highly charged and agitated atmosphere cannot contract, and the charge within clouds cannot build beyond a certain point. Winds may be chaotic under oranur conditions, as if confused or agitated. Approaching rainstorms usually begin to fragment or dissipate as they approach an oranur-affected region. The atmosphere may have-a "tense" or "strained" quality, reflecting the generally overcharged conditions. Rains will decrease, particularly as oranur is eventually replaced by deadened, immobilized dor conditions. Dor has an atmospheric expression as well, and when sufficiently widespread, is associated with drought or desert conditions. It appears on the landscape as a steel-grey haze that reduces visibility, gives sunlight a burning or scorching quality, turns rains acidic, or completely blocks the rainfall. Clouds are rendered into a tattered state, similar to slightly dirty, shredded cotton, and never grow beyond a certain small size. Unusual small clouds with a black or dark grey coloration sometimes appear; in contrast to other small clouds in the area, these darkish clouds maintain their dull coloration even when directly illuminated by sunlight. These are what Reich called dor clouds. They often form and reform continually over certain locations on the landscape, as if energetically attached to that spot. While oranur and dor often exist together within a given region, one expression will generally predominate over the other. Being energetic phenomena, oranur and dor cannot be "blown away" by winds, though a good rainstorm may sequester and clean them out. Under exceptionally strong oranur or dor conditions, rainstorms are blocked and diverted, giving rise to prolonged drought. Desert locations are generally charged with great quantities of dor, particularly on the lower-lying portions of the topography. Regions with multiple nuclear power, refining, and waste storage facilities tend to be very highly charged with both dor and oranur. Sequential episodes of drought often occur in those areas, given that the life energy is rarely in a natural state, and is periodically overexcited, or deadened. Contrast the above descriptions of oranur or dor conditions with that of the orgone energy in its normally sparkling and pulsing condition. When the orgone continuum maintains a state of healthy and vigorous atmospheric pulsation, regular cycles of rain-dry-rain-dry occur. The atmosphere is clean and transparent, sparkling and crisp, and does not have any notable atmospheric haze. The contrast between clouds and blue sky is apparent all the way down to the horizon. The open sky has a deep blue color, and cloud boundaries are sharp and well-defined. Clouds maintain a rounded shape, like buds of cauliflower, and build vertically without leaning sideways, or collapsing. Distant mountains maintain a bluish or purple coloration. The vegetation is also lush and crisp, full of life. Birds are active and soaring, and other animal life is also active. The sunlight warms, but does not scorch or burn as readily. The general subjective feeling during clear weather conditions is of great expansion, abounding energy, contactfullness, and liveliness. Breathing is so easy that the air literally pushes into your lungs. Most people feel exceptionally alive and alert, and more relaxed than usual. All of life is pushing upwards, against gravity, as an expression of the surging, gently pushing and expansive nature of the life energy. During rainy conditions, one may feel less energetic or sleepy, but still comfortable and at ease. Rains occur with a cyclical regularity. Most older people are aware that this quality of atmosphere is increasingly rare. It was more commonly observed in the past than today. Hazy, stagnant dorish qualities are fast becoming the "norm", such that many young people, particularly in the big polluted cities, do not know what a really crisp and sparkling day is like. For example, older airline pilots remember when dorish haze was present only over a few industrial areas of the Northeast USA. Today, however, dorish haze can be observed in unbroken fashion, from coast to coast, and also a considerable distance out to sea as well! Likewise, with the continuing rampant deforestation and desertification that is occurring world wide, dorish desert conditions are spreading into regions that were once much more lush and wet. In wetter regions, as the atmosphere becomes dorish, regular rainstorms are replaced by foggy acidic drizzles. Naturalists report that the blue orgone glow over mountains vanishes about two years prior to the onset of massive forest death, a phenomena which is likewise associated with hazy and stagnant air pollution. Indeed, the blue orgone glow of the oceans, rivers, forests, and atmosphere is vanishing at a disturbing pace, foretelling a collapse of entire ecosystems. Just when the life energy has been documented and objectified, it is being polluted out of existence, and killed. To describe the energetic states of oranur and dor, Reich used the example of a wild animal placed into a cage. At first, the animal reacts with fury, attempting to break free of the constraining enclosure. Later, the animal exhausts itself, and becomes inert and lethargic. This response, observed by zoo keepers around the world, has likewise been corroborated by John Ott in his work Health and Light. Ott demonstrated that laboratory mice exposed to agitating radiation from a TV set would at first become overexcited; later, the same mice would become inert and lethargic, eventually developing degenerative diseases. Ott gave many examples where aggressive behavior among breeding animals, such as mink and aquarium fish, were eliminated by removing oranurproducing fluorescent lights. Similar effects upon schoolchildren, from fluorescent lights in the classroom, are at work. Some school teachers have found that disruptive behavior in the classroom is often easily eliminated by simply turning off the fluorescent lights. I have observed a similar reaction among children who are allowed to spend enormous amounts of time "watching" TV. During the early phases of a child's TV exposure, there is often little focus upon program content. The kids simply want the TV on, and they will often busy themselves with other things while sitting in front of it. One often sees this strange behavior among entire families, where the evening or weekend family activity revolves around the big color TV. Nobody seems to care what program is on, just so long as the TV is on. Like cocaine-eating laboratory mice, both children and adults may become addicted to the oranur effects of the TV set. Later, like Ott's mice, they may enter an inert, lethargic, or immobilized stage, what is popularly called the couch-potato syndrome, which may be a precursor to degenerative disease. Of course, there is an emotional component at work here, where emotionally contracted adults and children may use the TV as a means of escaping an unhappy social or family situation. But recall Reich's discovery that the orgone is the energy of the emotions. The effect of the TV is more than just a "cognitive" escape, and has distinct bioenergetic effects. This bioenergetic form of electromagnetic/oranur addiction is most clearly seen when someone tries to turn the TV set off. Agitated or lethargic children, who were bathing themselves in the TV radiation, but paying scant attention to the program, may suddenly object quite vocally when attempts are made to shut it off. Even adults suffering from this syndrome will be discomforted by the thought of shutting the TV off, forcing them, as it would, out of a mildly catatonic state, into more direct emotional (bioenergetic) contact with other human beings. Of course, program content also plays a role, in that the more violent, cruel, and sexually titillating it is, the more it will touch upon the repressed sexual longing and bottled-up anger of people in our society, to further feed the syndrome. Couch potatoes, adults or children, rarely if ever watch the educational channel. Another response that belongs in this category is the child in a video game parlor who has run out of quarters, or who is ordered to leave. Anguish and even violent outbursts may occur as the child or adult is weaned away. Ott has shown that these devices, TV and fluorescent lights in particular, are often a cause of childhood hyperactivity. Other researchers are today have observed similar behavioral disorders, reinforcing social isolation and emotional contraction among young children who are addicted to their microcomputers. Some of these computer-addicted kids are now getting cataracts, from constant exposure to the computer CRT, and leukemia may likewise be an associated disorder of the technology. The oranur in school computer rooms, and in video game parlors is so intense that it is readily sensible. The TV departments of large stores, which also have many fluorescent lights, also assault the casual passers-by with intense oranur. I saw one clear case of TV radiation addiction with three hyperactive children who spent hours each day in front of the set, but paid little attention to program content. The minute they came home from school, the set had to be on. When the TV was finally shut down (the frustrated mother had to cut the power cord to defeat the clever kids), there was a wail of agonizing protest, and a period of even more agitated behavior. After about a week, however, the kids calmed down and began to develop new friendships and activities, and the hyperactivity disappeared completely. She got rid of the big color TV, and got a smaller black and white set. Even though the kids were later allowed to watch the black and white set as much as they wanted, they never fell back into the same trap, and the hyperactive syndrome did not occur again. In these cases, the energy system of the human had become addicted to the electromagnetic/oranur agitation, which took a clear and conscious effort to overcome. When using the orgone accumulator in an oranur or dor environment, all of the above considerations are most important, as the accumulator will amplify whatever kinds of energy conditions are present in the local environment. If oranur or dor is present, an accumulator will amplify those tendencies, imparting a toxic, life-negative quality to its charge. In some cases, the effects of oranur and dor are both persistent and widespread, and cannot be affected by simply changing things in your own home. This is often the case with large polluted cities, and certainly in the regions near to nuclear power facilities. Regarding nuclear power facilities, a distance of around 30 to 50 miles is minimal for safety regarding both the biological effects of emitted low-level radiation, as well as for use of an accumulator. Similarly, if you are within a few miles of very high voltage electrical transmission wires, or large radio broadcasting towers, use of an accumulator is disadvised. Likewise, do not use an accumulator if your area has been recently subjected to a nuclear accident, and fallout is present. One last set of considerations. Accumulators should never be used inside mobile homes or houses with aluminum skin or side paneling. Aluminum imparts a lifenegative characteristic to the orgone energy, and it is advisable not to live inside such a structure even if an accumulator is not built or stored there. Mobile homes with wooden siding are safer, and no problem inherently exists with them. However, note that some mobile homes and buildings are insulated with fibreglass batting that has an aluminum backing. If this kind of insulation is widely used, it will act very much like aluminum siding, and turn the house into a large, aluminum accumulator. Also, houses with metal roofs, or new homes that use steel wall braces, instead of wooden components, will act somewhat like a large accumulator. I have lived inside such structures for short periods, and even without an accumulator, they tend to develop a very high charge inside. They can disturb a person's sleeping cycle, and lead to an amplification of the oranur effect if fluorescent lights, microwave ovens, or TV sets are used. Newer homes designed for energy efficiency often do not have adequate ventilation, which makes the energetic situations even worse. One does not wish to live inside an accumulator, and most sensitive people will be driven a bit crazy by the overcharge that spontaneously develops within such a structure. Learn to recognize dor and oranur, such that if the feeling inside a building or accumulator is ever disturbed or uneasy, you can take necessary steps and precautions to eliminate those effects. Air the room out, and check to make sure that TV sets, fluorescent lights or other such apparatus are not in use in nearby rooms or on floors above and below. If an accumulator is already present in such a location, air it out also, and learn the steps for water-cleaning it. Follow the steps and guidelines given in the next chapter for "Cleaning Up Your Energetic Environment". The subjective feeling in an accumulator should be one of warmth, comfort and relaxation. This is where it becomes most important that you learn about your energetic environment, and to get in touch with your own body and organ sensations. It is clear that factors related to "civilized" living often have distinctly negative influences upon both the orgone energy field of the Earth, of our homes, and ourselves. Whatever can disturb or agitate the atmospheric orgone energy field of the Earth, or of your home, will likewise badly affect our own life energy. The next chapter focuses directly on what can be done to mitigate or eliminate these toxic effects.

Sometimes you can see how polluted older jet liners were on DVD reissues of early seventies movies like The vampire Happening. These old jet enjines produced a black smoke trail made up of incompletely burned fuel. Most engine emissions today are greatly reduced and could be fiurther reduced by using strong magnets on fuel lines. Most of the vapor that makes up a contrail is water vapor which will behave differently from day to day depending on the local meteorological conditions and local DOR contamination. The brown cloud that used to linger over Denver is now gone because of improved emissions standards. In my opinion, it would be wise for every city to maintain a number of draw buckets that would reduce DOR contamination and allow natural weather patterns to penetrate into the city and clear up much of the white haze that makes city life so completely irritating.

deborah, seems to me you asked a question, to minnis, not canex, that would be an opinion if answered...and the other one I don't know how he would know how many dirty craft there are...rest assured most all the military engines are inefficient, regarding today's standard... and I might know more about you than you think...being an agent and all that why don't you mail dr. minnis... ------------------ T/S

Well, Greg, there is no doubt whatever in my mind that Ms. Phelan has been very forthcoming with you in regard to what she likes to think she knows about me and my process. Personally, I think this cat-and-mouse stuff is just so much ridiculous bullsh-t. I use my own name and think for myself and that is the way it's been from Day One. Speaking of opinions, do you happen to have one as pertains to the possibility that a percentage of aircraft might be running dirty, as in burning high-sulfur, surface-cooling fuel? Thanks.

Well, I'm an aircraft Mechanic and I'll be the first to tell you that by and large, turbine engines(especially the larger ones) produce a lot of nasty dirty emissions, but not nearly on the level they used to (turbojets). Local environmental and noise abatement regs are taking care of that. I'm no chemtrail expert and I have no experience viewing them.(I think) But yes, high altitude aircraft may disrupt or cause weather chnges. How severe? I have no idea. The lack of rain around the country is a concern but I don't believe this is related to aircraft emissions. I'd say the greatest risks turbine aircraft pose are for those living near airports (pollution) and people like me who work there. Mech

nawg...deb never said much, cept you don't drive...but in your city that's not odd...here it would be extremely unusual...we have convient stores with drive through windows... ...Personally, I think this cat-and-mouse stuff is just so much ridiculous bullsh-t. I use my own name and think for myself and that is the way it's been from Day One.
me myself...I could post under many different names and anyone with a six month involvement in this issue could know it's was me posting...same goes with some other folk too...lol... Speaking of opinions, do you happen to have one as pertains to the possibility that a percentage of aircraft might be running dirty, as in burning high-sulfur, surface-cooling fuel?
well, the older less profitable air lines would be a canidate for older engines that would have sulfur content it up a bit, and as I said certain older military craft, c-130 is a black smoker on takeoff bigtime...duncan would have a better grasp of this than I would...although I bet this info is available, and a pretty revealing internet study could be done... I understand that Bush is committed to the same EPA goals as clinton in regards to making diesel fuel sulfur free or that has a dramatically lower sulfur content....I read this week that a study done on the inhalation of diesel exhaust had concluded that it rendered a cancer link... I really think when the major airlines opted towards a HUB system and not as much direct flights...is when folks started seeing more contrails grids x's paralell lines etc....and with the dramatic increase in air traffic the last 3 or 4 years to and fro these days mainly due to fed-ex and UPS... contrails are pretty much a 4 to 5 day occurance anymore...and whether this is a potentially bad thing for the environment, other than just obscuring the sky when it should be clear and blue...is up to good people like Dr. Minnis to figure out and inform us of...... I don't think you and I differ very much on environmental issues...maybe just how we go about fixing them... oh...and thank you !
