Hi all,
I have been thinking how there are never anymore blue sky days here. The last time we had more than a half a day of completely clear blue sky was the week after Sept 11/WTC attacks. That was when all almost all planes were grounded (although I did see chemtrailing that very day after the ban off the coast...). Then we had several all blue/no cloud what-so-ever days. I deciced to keep track of how much blue we had this month which ends today. here is the break down:

July 1 -Very cloudy, w/ AM rain
July 2 - Clouds and haze
July 3 - chems, white sky
July 4 - Hazy, humid, clouds
July 5 - Blue sky morning, hazy clouds
July 6 - hazy then cloudy
July 7 - mostly cloudy w/ some blue sky
July 8 - Smokey (Canadian fires), hazy, high clouds, chems
July 9 - Smokey, cloudy, hot, humid, chems
July 10 - Windy, clouds, also lots of blue
July 11 - Windy, clouds, blue sky showing, later haze
July 12 - chems, haze, clouds
July 13 - early chems, white and blue sky, humid
July 14 - humid and hot, haze and chems
July 15 - humid, haze, violent storm, hail
July 16 - haze, high clouds
July 17 - chems, haze, high clouds
July 18 - violent AM storm, complete cloud cover, chems
July 19 - complete cloud cover, rain
July 20 - cloudy early, afternoon mostly blue, evening clouds
July 21 - early chems, hazy, high clouds, chems rest of day
July 22 - hazy, chems all day
July 23 - white sky, haze, short hard rain
July 24 - early sparse clouds and lots of blue, chems, haze, high clouds
July 25 - early lots of blue, complete haze cover above clouds, chems
July 26 - clouds, haze, heavy chems, afternoon spotty blue and white smear clouds
July 27 - complete formless cloud cover, gray all day
July 28 - all day fog
July 29 - morning fog, afternoon haze and clouds, humid
July 30 - white sky, early rain, some blue, chems
July 31 - early blue with haze look, clouds, haze, chems

And there you have it. This month the most blue sky we have had is half a day. I thought it was strange that the last time we had several blue sky days in a row was the week after Sept 11. Is this normal? I am not sure but I am still waiting for more than half a day of blue sky.

You have a good point there (see, i don’t try to debunk everything!)

A couple of interesting sites;
http://www.dri.edu/Home/Graphics/Features/text/watsonawma.htm
http://www.concord.org/haze/

This one is a little technical, but interesting because it looks at historical research dating back 50 years. http://capita.wustl.edu/Capita/CapitaReports/PropertiesClimateHaze/PropertiesandCl imate.html

One thing to remember is that there are both natural and manmade contributions to haze. The Smokey Mountains are called that because of the natural haze that formed around them as a result of the terpenes and other compounds that are naturally released from the trees. Unfortunately, Ronald Regan was partially right when he ascribed a large percentage of air pollution to trees.

Aren’t paper mills and timber big industry in Maine? Be glad you don't live in LA.

Well BH, there are many factors that contribute to Maine haze -you are right. And I did live in and around LA for 8 years and it wasn't until 3 years ago hear in maine that I started developing asthma and the need for daily meds. I found it interesting that the air cleared out so much after sept 11 for that week. We had multiple blue sky days and I could see distant markers on the horizon better than I remember ever seeing. I am just wondering what the deal might be. If there was another week of no air traffic (and no chems too from my perspective) would we see multiple blue sky days again? I am continuing to keep this log. Anyone want to guess when I'll see a few blue sky days in a row - or even one complete day with all blue sky? It hasn't happened in a long time and my guess is those blue sky days might be over...

That's about how my sky looked this month, but very few chemtrail's are being sprayed directly over my area{Hayward Ca.}They seem to be spraying heavily along the coast line, and then drifting inland. GOOD OBSERVATION EYESOPEN.......EMFX13

That's pretty much how it was here in Greenwich eyesopen. I haven't seen a clear sky in so long that I would probably run for cover if I did now.
