To understand chemtrails, among other things, it is important to understand their purpose and their nature. Many who oppose chemtrails run the risk of inviting scorn by insisting that they are only of one nature, and only serve one goal. Some say that ethylene dibromide in jet fuel is the unique substance in chemtrails, and that it is intended to poison populations. Others may say that they consist only of aluminum chaff or barium iodide crystals, for intercepting or facilitating radio signals. Yet others may refer to the various contagions discovered in areas over which chemtrails were laid, and say that they, too, were intended only to eliminate large populations of people. Encouraging rainfall, through whatever means, or restricting it, is also propounded by many as the only reason chemtrails exist.
Among the first things chemtrail opponents, it seems, should acknowledge is that there are many different types of chemtrails, using different substances, and they serve different purposes. But this also opens the door for the likelihood that many chemtrails may be for purposes not yet addressed. Looking into the myriad possible reasons for chemtrail formation, then, can be a critical pursuit. But that can cover a wide range of subjects and, by choosing subjects at random, many may be missed. One potential way to unveil at least a fair number of possible purposes for chemtrails is to look at the nature of the, apparently, one thing they work to alter, namely, the atmosphere.
As simple an idea as the atmosphere may seem, it is actually a quite complicated thing. Among other things, and often overlooked, is the fact that air is not a single substance, but a combination of gases. The four principle components of air are oxygen, nitrogen, water vapor and carbon dioxide. Also often overlooked is the fact that these four gases, though they are in combination, can tend to act differently, under the same circumstances. Among other things, the four gases have significantly different molecular weights. Carbon dioxide has 44 protons and neutrons, so it has a weight of about 44 atomic mass units, or amu. The diatomic oxygen molecule has a mass of 32 amu. Nitrogen is 28, and water vapor is 18. Water vapor, then is, by far, the lightest of the principal components of air. The least mobile, it appears, would be carbon dioxide. The lighter a component, the more readily it will rise when heated. This tendency on the part of water vapor is reflected in the formation of clouds. In general, though, the atmosphere is so thoroughly mixed that significant stratification - the separating out of gases into individual layers - does not occur. For the most part, the migration of water vapor upward is the greatest example of stratification of the atmosphere. The response to heat is not the only difference to be expected or seen in a mixture of disparate substances, as in the atmosphere. In any combination, it is possible for the components to have distinctly different inherent qualities. Carbon dioxide, for example, is commonly accredited a thermal inertia far greater than that of the rest of the atmosphere. Under certain circumstances, it is even possible for components in a mixture to have very different qualities, such as heat or energy content, at the same time. In general, that condition would not last long, the characteristics would tend to “even out”, but it can be caused to happen.
When an intrusion occurs, it can change one aspect of the mixture of gases, and cause the other components to react. Among other things, as may be a deliberate intent of chemtrails, the water vapor in the upper atmosphere may be directly targeted. Either by use of a desiccant, intended to absorb or combine with water vapor, or something intended to trigger the formation of ice crystals or water droplets, water can be removed from the vapor stage. The “partial pressure” of water vapor, then, will decrease, and, to fill the space, the gases still present can expand. That would mean filtering upward. It is reasonable to assume that nitrogen would most readily respond, but oxygen would be quick to follow, with carbon dioxide, likely, remaining mostly where it was, at the surface. The result would be a change in the ambient “partial pressures” of each of the component gases, most especially, at the surface of the earth, with oxygen likely diminishing slightly and, because it likely would not move much, that of carbon dioxide there increasing slightly.
This is not necessarily a dangerous circumstance. During the natural formation of precipitation, this can be expected to occur. But that is intermittent. With the constant spraying of substances to remove water vapor, and so, likely, decrease the percentage of oxygen at the surface, the situation could become chronic, and that can lead to a progressive debilitation!
Among other things, for example, the all-over nature of “chronic fatigue disorder”, and similar syndromes - the fact that they affect every part of the body - along with the fact that they primarily attack the muscles, sound very much like “oxygen starvation”, often encountered by mountain climbers! Many people sound like they are being subjected to depleted levels of oxygen over long periods! A decrease in oxygen over a short period, or in a sporadic pattern, is not necessarily harmful, but when administered in a chronic way, day after day, even a loss of ½% of oxygen can seriously affect a person!
It is to be remembered, too, that, in just the past year, meteorologists announced a change in the “wind chill factor” system. Their claim is that previous measurements of wind chill were done at a height of 12 feet, which they assert to be distinctly different from that at around 6 feet height. Their “new numbers”, now, have cut previous wind chill values by 45% to 50% or more! Where, before, a wind of 12 mph, on a day with a temperature of 40º Fahrenheit, would produce conditions below freezing, now it would yield an effective temperature high enough for water to remain liquid! The overturning of a system which, supposedly, proved credible and useful for more than thirty years is the least of the considerations. It must be asked how it is that air, suddenly, is so much more able to retain heat than before. If, however, it is assumed that oxygen at the surface is being systematically depleted, and carbon dioxide - which has the “greenhouse effect” tendency to retain heat longer! - is being arranged to be, consequently, more plentiful in comparison, the sudden ability of air to be warmer longer becomes more reasonable!
As an aside, other demonstrated causes and effects become all the more understandable, as well. The demonstrated eagerness of local authorities - at least in northern New Jersey - to wipe out every last vestige of treed and forested land, and encasing the land in the concrete cocoons they call “townhouse developments”, seems eminently explainable. The tendency of so many people to act as if they aren’t thinking completely properly becomes less surprising, as well!
And, if something could engineer the depletion of oxygen at high altitudes, the consequent filtering of oxygen upward from the ground can be all the greater. Among other things, a wholesale injection of respiring entities into the upper air can produce a significant change in oxygen very quickly. The suspected dosing of the air with biological contaminants, then, seems to be for the purpose of their drifting upward, not downward!
It is to be stressed, however, that the purpose of chemtrails must be geared toward affecting some one or another quality of the atmosphere. To understand their aim, then, can demand understanding the qualities and characteristics of air. But this is not a small order. Indeed, even something as apparently simple as a combination of gases does not, necessarily, have a very simple nature. Only a few decades ago, the temperature of the air was considered all that was needed to be known. All that characterized it. Humidity was then introduced, and the potential for humid air to feel warmer than the temperature indicated was brought out. Then barometric pressure began to be mentioned, and the effect of wind chill to be brought into consideration. In fact, though, it seems there is no small number of qualities that even a simple gas can have. Such things as a kind of entropic inertia are already being talked about in certain kinds of systems. While those systems may not include the atmosphere, it is risky at best to ignore the likelihood that there are factors involved in the behavior of the atmosphere not yet realized by many and certainly not widely acknowledged. And it is these that chemtrails may be affecting, without those targeted by the chemtrails even aware of what is being acted upon! This is but one reason to ignore as little more than flummery “debunker” demands for “documentation”! It is important, then, too, to view abnormal circumstances and at least the areas in which they seem tied to chemtrails.
One such circumstance occurred just after the 4th of July, in northern New Jersey. On the morning of Friday, July 5, the sky in northern New Jersey was completely covered by chemtrails, all in parallel lines, all running north to south! No trails were laid east to west. No trails went northwest to southeast, or southwest to northeast. No X’s or H’s or grids were present. Every single line was almost exactly parallel, and running north to south! It’s unusual to have even three chemtrails all running parallel. It’s unlikely to have the entire sky covered by chemtrails.

To have up to two dozen chemtrails, covering the entire sky, all running parallel is all but inexplicable! The purpose, though, was by no means evident, at the time. And there seems good reason why it should not be evident!
The next day, Saturday, July 6, the sky was covered over by a thick yellowish haze through the afternoon, and into the evening.

More than that, there was a strong, pungent smell in the air. The haze in the sky wasn’t clouds. It looked like wood smoke. The smell, however, was not that of wood smoke; in fact, a number of people commented that it smelled like burned flesh! That evening and the next day, the news reported on a massive forest fire supposedly burning in Canada, just north of the border. The fire was described as much larger than any of the other fires, then being fought across the United States, but, between Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7, there were no more than two reports about it on the news, compared to the incessant dosing of reports about the American fires! And, during what little “coverage” there was of the Canadian fire, there were no photographs provided, whatsoever!
It was apparent that the media wanted to stay quiet about the fire. The intense flow of smoke made it impossible to deny its existence, so they decided only to downplay it. It was also evident that the reason the fire was being calculatedly downplayed had to do with the smell of burned flesh it gave off!
Less than a month before the fire, the Jeff Rense site, www.rense.com, reported on a feared outbreak of a chronic wasting disease, an analog of “mad cow disease”, among Canadian deer. Only a few cases had been found, but they were interspersed with several herds, so the elimination of the entire herds was apparently ordered. Up to 15,000 deer were reported killed.
Either to hide the massive, apparently unnecessary slaughter, or to eliminate the thousands of carcasses before the general public began to ask questions about what was going on, the Canadian government appears to have, effectively, “staged” the “forest fire” just north of the border. In effect, it seems to have been a huge funeral pyre, disguised as a “forest fire”! Only the stench of death betrayed what it really was!
If, however, that smell was allowed to waft across Canada, many would put two and two together and realize what was happening. An obvious solution seems to have been to deliberately divert the wind from the fire southward, across the United States, where news of the presumed outbreak of the disease was largely limited, and where efforts seem to have been made to all but conceal the very existence of the fire!
Satellite photographs from the day that the smoke was, apparently, engineered to travel south, demonstrate the evident unnaturalness of the situation! Importantly, there were no other similar configurations of forest fire smoke, even though there were numerous other large fires burning in the United States at the time! But only the smoke from Canada was contained in the peculiar contained flow that carried it south!

The success of the operation, however, depended on the smoke from the fire being diverted directly south.
Exactly the direction that the massive bombardment of chemtrails, the day before, had been oriented!
What seems likely is that, effectively, the “grain” of the atmosphere had been altered by the onslaught of chemtrails on July 5! A huge number of chemtrail laying jets, all traveling in the same direction, seem to have managed, for at least that brief period, to lend a preferential direction of flow to the air, from north to south! And, traveling along this “grain”, the smoke from Canada was successfully diverted south!
There is little, if any, way to discount this as mere coincidence! Occurrences which are, essentially, “too coincidental” are that way because they are not a coincidence!
There seems a reason Hurricane Lili abruptly and “inexplicably” dropped from a category 4 storm to a category 2 before hitting land! Hurricanes gain energy traveling over water! It is only after hitting land that they begin to lose energy! Meteorologists, apparently, obligatorily expressed “surprise” at this outcome, but it seems there was a lot to hide there, as well!
In the end, there must be more observation of chemtrails, with an eye toward the likelihood of phenomena as yet unaddressed, in order to understand what is really going on. Barium iodide crystals, Pseudonomas aeruginosa and ethylene dibromide may be only one aspect of what is being perpetrated in the upper atmosphere.

It's unlikely that edb would be placed in jet fuel as an anti-knock additive, however it is conceivable that it has been used in "jet fuel" for other purposes.

There are different types of "aviation fuel":

Avgas, which is aviation gasoline, and has EDB because it's a leaded gasoline.

Jet fuel, which does not have EDB. Jet aircraft do not use Avgas.
