2002 WTC collapse analysis shrouded in lawsuit NEW YORK-
The most detailed analysis of how and why the World Trade Center collapsed could be forever kept from the public because it was compiled as part of an insurance lawsuit,

lawyers for victims' families say. The experts who gathered the information are forbidden by confidential agreements from discussing their findings. except with federal investigators, said Gerald McKelvey, a spokesman for Larry Silverstein, the leaseholder of the trade center property involved in the lawsuit. Structural engineers and victims' families say they're concerned the confidential material may be sealed or destroyed if the lawsuit is settled before trial.
Navy sonar blamed for deaths of 15 beaked whales
The 15 beaked whales that beached themselves last week on the Canary Islands near Mrica during a multinational naval exercise suffered ear and brain trauma that may have been caused by high- intensity sonar, according to preliminary analysis. Dr. Michel Andre, a veterinarian leading the investigation, noted Monday that "necropsies showed the presence of unspecific lesions, including in the brain and the hearing system, consistent with acoustic impact." If final analysis confirms these findings; it would be the second time that scientists have direct evidence to link mass stranding of whales to bursts of powerful active sonar used by
U.S. warships and those of other nations.

The Carlyle Group, George Bush and the Smallpox Vaccine

A Bitter Taste In Bush

Whereas the first quotas of Navy unload in Afghanistan within the framework of the operation "Immutable Freedom", with the blessing of the "free" world, George W Bush took care well not to detail the bonds which have linked its family with that of Oussama Bin Laden for thirty years. Far from the Manicheism of George W Bush, and crusade of the good against the evil, the financial arrangements of the American president resemble more one bad scenario in Dallas... Where it is a question of oil, of dollars, emirs of the Gulf, secret service and of national safety.

" I am impressed that there is such an incomprehension of what is our country and which people can hate us. I am... I am like the majority of the Americans, I cannot believe it, because I know how much we are good. "

George W Bush, press conference of October 11, 2001 at the White House.

The news fell on October 26, 2001, in the nearly general indifference, by a laconic dispatch of the agency Associated Press: the family Bin Laden withdrew her 2,02 million dollars of investments of the company Carlyle Group. The advertisement followed upon an article of a page, published on September 27, 2001 in Wall Street Journal, concerning a financial participation of the family Bin Laden in this group. But no other media were really interested in this information.

What Carlyle Group?

The Carlyle Group is a company of private investors, little known of general public, which manages nearly 13 billion dollars investments in various pharmaceutical laboratory and telecommunication, waterway transport companies. A tentacular financial complex. Among the four most significant companies held by this nebulous group, let us quote:

Empi, Inc (principal activity: medical drugs and products. A.C. for the year 2000: 73 million dollars)

Medpointe, Inc (principal activity: drugs and condoms. A.C. estimated for the year 2001: 223 million dollars)

United Defense Industries, Inc (principal activity: the manufacture of tanks and vehicles armoured for the American army or export. A.C. for the year 2000: 1,18 billion dollar)

United States Marine Repair, the largest American company of nonnuclear warships (A.C. for the year 2000: 400 million dollars) [ 1 ].

The whole of these activities related on the armament or Defense does of Carlyle Group one of the most significant suppliers of the Pentagon. Most of its orders thus depends on goodwill administration in place. But this discrete company does not stop with its only collaboration with the American armament. In 14 years of existence, it extended its financial capacity everywhere in the world, where the investments were most lucrative...

Today, the Carlyle conglomerate controls more than 160 companies, in 55 countries, and has even an office in France, located 112 Kléber Avenue, in Paris. Its French branch was in particular pointed out in June 2000, by taking shares in the holding financial of the Barber, with the nose and the beard of Serge Dassault, who coveted itself the title. On the other side of the Atlantic, the business leader of Carlyle Group is not other than Franck Carlucci, the former Secretary of State to Defense under Ronald Reagan, between 1987 and 1989. But this acointance political is not most astonishing.

The firm also employs, full-time or for operations of public relations temporary, George Bush (former president of the USA, and father of the current destroyer of the talibans), John Major (ex-first minister of Great Britain), Karl Otto Pohl (former president of Bundesbank), Fidel Ramos (former president of the Philippines), Arthur Levitt (former president of Security Exchange Commission = the American COB), and James Baker (former Secretary of State of Bush senior) [ 2 ]. In short, the world gratin of the large decision makers... And until October 26, 2001, the family of the most required man of planet, also formed part of this merry round table!

It goes without saying one could not show all the members to finance Islamic terrorism. It is on the other hand certain that all the members did not cut the bridges with Oussama. There is extremely to bet that if Carlyle Group employs all these sizes of the world geopolitics (of which the wages are obviously held secret), it is to benefit from their well furnished address book, and to ensure entregent it international necessary to its spheres of activity, for an vain sales turnover. Being based on this tormented time, the American army comes, for example, to request from the Congress a few 500 million dollars to order its new toy: the Crusader tank, which it needs for future terrestrial operations.

And which manufactures the Crusader tanks?

It will have been guessed: the company United Defense Industries, Inc, and thus Carlyle Group! American Congrés is discussing appropriateness of this heavy investment (paid by the taxpayers), and of the talks are in hand... In short, thanks to diversified and very juicy investments, the shareholders of Carlyle profit from a return on investment of 34 % per annum. Ever seen in this type of activity. With such a profitability, maintained since the creation of the group, one would expect to see all the financial analysts of planet advising the purchase of Carlyle titles. However it of it is nothing, and for a simple reason: Carlyle Group is not with dimensions out of purse. A party taken astounding for an entity of this size...

But only at first sight. Not question, indeed, for the large sizes of Carlyle, to let the average shareholder benefit from such an aubaine. Other favours, and not the least: while being placed out of the stock exchange circuit, the group is not held to reveal in Security Exchange Commission (American commission charged to check the regularity of the stock exchange operations) the name of its associates (and in particular the shareholders awkward, the such clan Bin Laden), not more than their respective shares. This attitude is also the best means of dissimulating the detail of the activities, which could in offusquer more one. Indeed, each time Bush Junior places order of a tank or of a boat at a company of the Carlyle group, in the name of American defense, it is Bush Senior which passes to the case, with another handle of happy few, of which Bin Laden, which accurately empoché their 34% of annual dividends until this year.

Carlyle Group thrived quietly in the shade, until two nongovernmental organizations, Judicial Watch and Center for Public Integrity, rise of the situation. These two associations, which peel the thousands of pages delivered by the Congress each year, as well as the déclassifiés documents of the CIA or the FBI, denounced this established fact [ 3 ], relayed by Wall Street Journal and the BBC. Such a new A of course makes leave Carlyle its dumbness. The family Bin Laden (with share malicious Oussama, of course), are sizeable people, let know, the hand about the heart, the leaders of Carlyle Group and Arabella Burton, secretary particular of John Major, as soon as the known news.

Why did they withdraw their investments in Carlyle, in this case? George Bush father however went twice, in October 1998 and 2000, at least, in Jeddah, the family seat of Bin Laden, to Saudi Arabia. Their did require news of Oussama, or simply a cheque? After the revelations of Wall Street Newspaper, Jean Becker, word of Bush Senior carries, initially declared that Bush Sr had met the family Bin Laden once, then, the following day: "After having read the notes of the former president"... "the Bush former president does not have a relation with the family Bin Laden. He met them twice ". Only two? According to the Barber of October 31, 2001, Ossama Bin Laden was hospitalized at the American hospital of Dubai on July 14, 2001 for an operation of the kidney and received the visit of official of the CIA and several members of its family (of which it is, point out it, the black sheep and with which it is supposed to have cut the bridges).

Were these members with the number of those which had shares in Carlyle Group? Mystery, so much is complex the family Bin Laden. Lastly, November 7, 2001, The Guardian revealed that certain official FBI complained that "for political reasons, all their investigations on the family Bin Laden had been stopped, especially since George W Bush had become president". These investigations related to two brothers of Ossama Bin Laden, Omar and Abdullah, for their relation with World Assembly of Muslim Youth, which belongs to associations suspectées to finance terrorism. They were among the 24 members of the family Bin Laden residing at the United States, which flew away (under the supervision of the FBI!) airport of Washington on September 14, 2001, three days after the attacks [ 4 ]? Mystery, the complete list of the passengers was not published.

It should be said that the bonds between the Bush family and the Middle East are old, deep and lucrative. Isn't this the company of George Bush Jr, Harken, which had obtained the exclusive exploitation of gas and the oil of the emirate of Bahrain for 35 years, whereas it did not have any offshore oil rig experience of drillings? Certain large tankers (whose Amocco, which was on the rows) had then let know that Bush Senior, then president, did not have nothing to do there. June 22 90, a few weeks before dad does not start Desert Storm, Bush Jr liquidated its participation in Harken, 850 000 $. One week afterwards, Harken announced losses records of 23 million dollars. As of the invasion, the title plunged... "Stroke of luck", commented on Junior [ 5 ], forgetting with the passage to declare with the SEC this transfer. Questioned by the same SEC eight month later on this lapse of memory, it specified that the SEC had surely lost the sheet of declaration [ 6 ].

The changes, effective today, will help counter a threat like no other our nation has ever faced. We've seen the enemy, and the murder of thousands of innocent, unsuspecting people. They recognize no barrier of morality. They have no conscience. The terrorists cannot be reasoned with. Witness the recent anthrax attacks through our Postal Service.

Our country is grateful for the courage the Postal Service has shown during these difficult times. We mourn the loss of the lives of Thomas Morris and Joseph Curseen; postal workers who died in the line of duty. And our prayers go to their loved ones.

I want to assure postal workers that our government is testing more than 200 postal facilities along the entire Eastern corridor that may have been impacted. And we will move quickly to treat and protect workers where positive exposures are found.

But one thing is for certain: These terrorists must be pursued, they must be defeated, and they must be brought to justice. (Applause.) And that is the purpose of this legislation. Since the 11th of September, the men and women of our intelligence and law enforcement agencies have been relentless in their response to new and sudden challenges.

We have seen the horrors terrorists can inflict. We may never know what horrors our country was spared by the diligent and determined work of our police forces, the FBI, ATF agents, federal marshals, Custom officers, Secret Service, intelligence professionals and local law enforcement officials, under the most trying conditions. They are serving this country with excellence, and often with bravery.

They deserve our full support and every means of help that we can provide. We're dealing with terrorists who operate by highly sophisticated methods and technologies, some of which were not even available when our existing laws were written. The bill before me takes account of the new realities and dangers posed by modern terrorists. It will help law enforcement to identify, to dismantle, to disrupt, and to punish terrorists before they strike.

For example, this legislation gives law enforcement officials better tools to put an end to financial counterfeiting, smuggling and money-laundering. Secondly, it gives intelligence operations and criminal operations the chance to operate not on separate tracks, but to share vital information so necessary to disrupt a terrorist attack before it occurs.

As of today, we're changing the laws governing information-sharing. And as importantly, we're changing the culture of our various agencies that fight terrorism. Countering and investigating terrorist activity is the number one priority for both law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

Surveillance of communications is another essential tool to pursue and stop terrorists. The existing law was written in the era of rotary telephones. This new law that I sign today will allow surveillance of all communications used by terrorists, including e-mails, the Internet, and cell phones.

As of today, we'll be able to better meet the technological challenges posed by this proliferation of communications technology. Investigations are often slowed by limit on the reach of federal search warrants.

Law enforcement agencies have to get a new warrant for each new district they investigate, even when they're after the same suspect. Under this new law, warrants are valid across all districts and across all states. And, finally, the new legislation greatly enhances the penalties that will fall on terrorists or anyone who helps them.

Current statutes deal more severely with drug-traffickers than with terrorists. That changes today. We are enacting new and harsh penalties for possession of biological weapons. We're making it easier to seize the assets of groups and individuals involved in terrorism. The government will have wider latitude in deporting known terrorists and their supporters. The statute of limitations on terrorist acts will be lengthened, as will prison sentences for terrorists.

This bill was carefully drafted and considered. Led by the members of Congress on this stage, and those seated in the audience, it was crafted with skill and care, determination and a spirit of bipartisanship for which the entire nation is grateful. This bill met with an overwhelming -- overwhelming agreement in Congress, because it upholds and respects the civil liberties guaranteed by our Constitution.

This legislation is essential not only to pursuing and punishing terrorists, but also preventing more atrocities in the hands of the evil ones. This government will enforce this law with all the urgency of a nation at war. The elected branches of our government, and both political parties, are united in our resolve to fight and stop and punish those who would do harm to the American people.

It is now my honor to sign into law the USA Patriot Act of 2001. (Applause.)

(The bill is signed.) (Applause.)

SHAYLERGATE:
British Press Gagged on Reporting MI6's £100,000 bin Laden Payoff

By Paul Joseph Watson
From: http://www.propagandamatrix.com/shayler_gate.html

Tony Blair has tonight ordered a D-Notice on British media reporting government officials signing court gag orders. This regards the case of former MI5 officer David Shayler, who has evidence to prove MI6 gave £100,000 to bin Laden and Al-Qaeda, arms to Iraq and had prior knowledge of several terrorist attacks on London in the 1990's.

The original articles stated that top Labour MP's had signed gag orders, whereby upon mention of this evidence in court, media have to immediately leave the trial. Newspapers all over the country, including the Guardian, the London Evening Standard and the Scotsman have either completely removed or amended their articles. This evidence is damning. The British government is trying to bury the story before it buries them.

I first noticed that the Guardian article I had earlier posted on my website had disappeared. Already aware that Blair may well have ordered a D-Notice to eliminate these reports, I immediately started searching on Google for some more. In Britain, a D-Notice is where the government order a gag on a particular breaking story.

I came across a very similar London Evening Standard report and immediately put it on my web site. Low and behold, five minutes later the link was dead! Amazingly, I still had the article up on my screen on a different browser window. I tried to archive the page to my desktop but to no avail. I did manage to print out a copy which I have scanned and linked below.

This story is massive because Shayler has them on the wracks on a number of different issues, from colluding with bin Laden, to arms deals with questionable characters. This could be particularly embarrasing for Jack Straw, who I, using mainstream reports, have identified as a key placeman in hawking arms to Pakistan, India and even Iran.

Bilderberg member Peter Mandelson is also trying to cover his dirt by gagging these reports. The London Times reported how his new 'think tank' was being bankrolled by the Rothschilds two weeks ago. The Rothschilds control the BBC, who haven't even mentioned that the trial has started, never mind the accusations Shayler raises.

The original London Guardian report was entitled 'Ministers issue gag orders for MI5 trial' and was located at http://www.guardian.co.uk/shayler/article/0,2763,806009,00.html - as you will see if you click on the link, it's disappeared down the memory hole. The text I extracted from the report for my original link to it is as follows...

"Ministers issue gag orders for MI5 trial: They appear to be worried that he will make further allegations about MI5 and MI6 knowledge of a plot to assassinate the Libyan leader, Muammar Gadafy, in 1996. A book, Forbidden Truth, published this summer claims that British intelligence was in contact with "Osama bin Laden's main allies" who were opposed to Colonel Gadafy."

The London Evening Standard article was entitled 'Calls for secret Shayler trial' and was at http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/articles/1488303 - again, it has now been removed. Luckily I saved the text to a Word file and printed the article:

Before you read this, it is important to understand the issue at hand. We're talking about MI6 cooperation with bin Laden, arms to Iraq and, as reported today in the Scotsman, claims that, 'secret services ignored warnings that might have prevented bombings in the London in 1993 and 1994.' Shayler has evidence that MI5 wilfully failed to stop the bomb attack on Israel's London embassy in 1994 and the IRA's 1993 Bishopsgate bombing, which killed one person.

Here it is in Shayler's own words plus the actual MI6 Gaddafi plot document - MI6 Plot to assassinate Colonel Gaddafi: Police enquiry confirms Plot is not "fantasy" - http://cryptome.org/shayler-gaddafi.htm

Here is the London Evening Standard report I managed to rescue.

Update! Take a look at the scans of the article I printed off - why was it removed? Judge for yourself...(click on the images for big versions)

This article has now been replaced with a shorter, watered down, version of this story. It does not mention MI5's £100,000 transfer to Al-Qaeda. Yet more evidence of a top down cover-up - read the new whitewashed piece here and compare it to my scanned original that was pulled along with all the others!

------------------------------------
The Scotsman also released a report which remains online but both the title and the article have been amended!!! The new article talks about new MI5 head Eliza Manningham-Buller, only mentioning the Shayler case in passing. It certainly does not include information concerning the Labour MP's involved and government prior knowledge of terrorist bombings in London.
http://www.thescotsman.co.uk/index.cfm?id=1113312002 is the amended version - I archived the original at http://www.propagandamatrix.com/renegade_mi5_agent_to_face_jury.htm. The report was originally entitled 'Renegade MI5 agent ready to face jury' it is now called 'Has MI5 really emerged from shadows?' This is the report with the most damning information (the one they erased).

Here is the full text of the original Scotsman article.

*************

Renegade MI5 agent ready to face jury
KAREN MCVEIGH
DAVID Shayler, the former M15 officer branded a traitor by the government, is due to take on the legal establishment today, as his trial opens at the Old Bailey in London.

The renegade agent, who faces six years imprisonment for breaching the Official Secrets Act after making a number of sensational revelations about M15 to a national newspaper in 1997, will represent himself for part of the landmark case. The trial will centre around a number of allegations made by Shayler about M15 holding files on prominent politicians, including former cabinet minister Peter Mandelson and Jack Straw, the Foreign Secretary. He also claimed the secret services ignored warnings that might have prevented bombings in the London in 1993 and 1994.

Shayler, 36, faces two charges under section one of the Official Secrets Act for disclosing documents and information about the work of M15 and another under section four, for disclosing information about telephone taps.

He has failed so far to win his argument that his revelations were in the public interest. The High Court, Court of Appeal and the House of Lords, have all ruled that he cannot claim he disclosed information in the public interest or out of necessity. They also ruled out the main plank of Shayler’s defence - that the Officials Secrets Act is incompatible with the Human Rights Act.

Shayler, who made other allegations for which he was not charged, including a claim that M16 was involved in a plot to assassinate the Libyan leader, Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi, will argue that he is only guilty of "exposing wrongdoing".

"I aim to persist in my argument that the Official Secrets Act as it currently stands is totally incompatible with the Human Rights Act," he told a newspaper yesterday.

Some of the hearing is expected to be taken up by an application by newspapers objecting to plans to hold parts of the trial in secret.

The prosecution applied for hearings to be held in camera after its concerns that Shayler will make fresh allegations to the jury to back up his public interest defence.

Shayler’s decision to defend himself, against the advice of his legal team, for part of the trial was prompted by the belief that he will be freer to argue his case than his barrister, Geoffrey Robertson, QC, whose hands are tied by earlier court rulings.

***************
Even local papers such as the Leicestershire Mail and the Derby Evening Telegraph have removed the story from their websites! The original stories were here and here respectively. They were entiled ''SHAYLER AT OLD BAILEY FOR TRIAL' and 'SHAYLER ARRIVES FOR TRIAL.' As you can see by clicking the links, they are gone. As is a London Independent article that was entitled 'MI5 faces accountability test as new chief takes reins.'

***************
UPDATE: It is now confirmed that all details relating to the Shayler case cannot be reported. The UK government have successfully gagged the cowardly pathetic mainstream media, but I will continue to track this story.

The Guardian reports - 'Shayler hearing'

'An Old Bailey court yesterday heard legal arguments relating to the trial of David Shayler, the former MI5 officer charged with breaking the Official Secrets Act. The judge ruled that they cannot be reported. Mr Shayler's trial is now expected to be heard before a jury next week.'
- Richard Norton-Taylor

its not easy with so few friends
the journey to truth never ends
i raise my eyes to a starry sky
life was easy we asked why
didnt have a problem then

machines battle through the ages
constantly we turn the pages
hotel roach rat infested
where the old and infirm are rested
cracked walkways drains put resent
old brains sit well it aint pleasant

flashing billboards of hairstyle sleaze
production people tinted streets
ratface replicas full of aids
neon lights filtered haze

slurry rivers polluted seas
bringing us down to our knees
burning forests chemtrail rain
looks to me the worlds insane
ive seen them in the eastern sands
with geiger counters in their hands

we didnt have a problem then......

we've got a problem now....

Numbers called as they're waiting in a line
Camouflaged like a jungle snake
Acting tough, just enough
'Coz they start to break
Then they're off with a rush of adrenaline
Holding on to a world unseen
The only sound is the pumping of the great machine

The secret's only for a few
Superpower looks down on you
Someone's watching every move
You can break the lock and turn on the light
You know your danger feelings are right
Try to run or put up a fight
You'll be shot down in the night
Shot down like an animal

See them run like rats from the factory
Push them out to the twilight zone
Let them feed on their needs 'til they're overthrown
Take them up to a place in the gallery
Show them God with an angel face
Curtain call for the fall Of the Human race

Play it straight and it seems like a mystery
Tell the truth and it sounds like lies
Looking down at the ground
With your angry eyes
Play the game and you'll see there's a difference Join the ranks and you'll get your kicks
See the world, and the girls, and the dirty tricks

What do they want from you ?
A rendezvous upon the sound
The cars rev up the word goes round
The words are weapons of their will
Their words can hurt
Their words can kill
A burning phrase can burn a town
A syllable can bring you down
Their languages are coded
Your image is eroded

Listen to the sound you heard
Learn to fight against their word
Vocabularies of death
Destruction in their breath
They use the lie
They use the myth
Seek only to confuse
And liberty abuse

The lies they tell are pretty
And blow up another city
They steal away your freedom
And your love
Their sentimental calling signs
Are calculatingly designed
To rob you of your mind and time

And still you listen to
The lulling drone of reassuring voices
Tunes to take away your choices
Make you slaves to fancy words and phrases
Until you're pushing up the daisies
They steal away your freedom
and your love

Every time I go out, I think I'm being checked out
Faceless people watching on a TV screen
Do you begin to sense it, just beneath the surface
Reflections off a window while walking down the street

Spying, lying, there's no denying
You can't escape, just be discreet
Computers are abused, school records are fed
Police are checking on what you've said
The number of your car's fed into a box
Your journey's being checked, it's a paradox
Duplicate forms and ID cards, are next in line to disregard

Future generations are relying on us
It's a world we've made - incubus
You're processed, we're processed.
They got your number, they got your name
You are the one they will blame
Accused of being the leader of the pack
You are the one who wouldn't turn his back

They try everything, but it's all turned out the same
"They lied" you said, but you know that you will still be framed
Do you not now see what their problem is
They can't accept your solution
Though we all see that you pay the price
The rest of your days will be spent in seclusion

They got your number.

The Story below is about movies with future surveilllance
It mentions something similar to "SMART DUST"
Smart Dust was also mentioned in a recent article about preventing forest fires
by spraying the forest with Smart dust
(the newspaper story)
It Look's "extremely invasive," but nothing like 'Minority Report'
By Elizabeth Weise
USA TODAY July 24th 2002 5D

In the world of 2054, as portrayed in the summer movie Minority Report, surveillance is a constant presence. Lasers scan the irises of subway passengers and automatically deduct their fare. Billboards use the same technology to recognize passersby and call out to them by name. At one point, Tom Cruise walks into the Gap after he's paid a black-market surgeon to swap out his eyes and replace them with someone else's to shield his identity. The store cheerfully calls out, "Hello Mr. Yakamoto, welcome back to the Gap. How did those assorted tank tops work out?" But the real future is unlikely to be anywhere near that intrusive.
Think instead of a gentle dusting of almost microscopic sensors in everything we use, wear, walk on and drive, all calling out to each other in a radio whisper we never hear or see but that tracks us like a mother following a 2-year-old to keep her out of trouble. ..
It's going to be extremely invasive of privacy, but we're going to forget using those words.
I think we'll get used to this stuff in an alarmingly short amount of time," says Bruce Sterling, an Austin, Texas, science-fiction writer much in demand by think tanks to help them imagine and plan for the future.
It's called "ubicomp" -ubiquitous computing. The roadway will know when it's icy and caution our car to slow down on the curves. Our toilet will analyze our urine and notify our doctor if anything is amiss. When we listen to music, the player will note each song and quietly deduct a few cents from our account, maybe less if we allow the record companies to track what we like and don't like for their marketing plans. Imagine it as elder care. "Prosthetic ubicomp," Sterling calls it.
Computer scientist Henry Kautz of the University of Washington in Seattle is already working on it. His Assisted Cognition Project uses a network of digital devices and wireless sensors in the walls of homes, in appliances and furniture and clothing. The devices would work together to monitor an individual, offer prompts when appropriate and summon help when needed. It will be tested at a state-of-the-art retirement community in the Portland, Ore., area.
The military and law enforcement are eager to make use of the latest computer database technologies to track criminals. Last week the Senate held a hearing on the possibility of creating a national system of biometric measurement -using the body to uniquely identify individuals -to help in the fight against terrorism.
(here we go to sheer fantacy)(back to the news story)
Federal agents were able to recreate a detailed record of the lives of the Sept. 11 terrorists by using credit card transactions, phone records and security-camera tapes.
ed note[to bad many of the pilots are still alive]

well back to our good dreamz story
{not anoughther peep}
out of me.....
But it's not just terrorists who are tracked, and it's not just the government doing the tracking. Already, giga- bytes of information are collected about us every day in databases compiled by the supermarkets where we shop, our pharmacies, credit card companies and phone companies. Convenience vs. privacy To some extent, the trade-off for the consumer is between convenience and privacy. Across the country, drivers can sign up to use palm-sized transponders that automatically deduct the cost of bridge and highway tolls as they drive. But this means there's a digital record detailing each time and place their car made the trip. And customers aren't the ones deciding how the information will be used. In Southern California, a supermarket used a customer's previous purchasing records to imply that his fall in a store was caused in part by his heavy drinking -documented by what he'd bought with his discount card. Marc Rotenberg, executive director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center in Washington, D.C., says last year's Supreme Court ruling that police couldn't use thermal imaging devices to detect marijuana being raised under grow lamps shows the court "doesn't plan to abandon the Fourth Amendment even as technology makes pos- sible new forms of intrusion." But that was in the home, which has a special place in U.S. privacy law. Out in public, we're fair game. Face-recognition software was used to surreptitiously scan everyone who passed through the turnstiles at the Super Bowl in Tampa. The digitized images were matched electronically with databases of mug shots of criminals and terrorists. Similar technology has been tried in Virginia Beach and at airports overseas. Do the eyes have it? Computerized iris scanning has existed since 1994 and has been used at ATMs, in hospitals and airports, but it's not as easy as Minority Report suggests. "One unrealistic thing in the movie is that the guy is running down the street and the billboards are identifying him as he goes by," says computer scientist John Daugrnan of Cambridge University in England, who invented the computer algorithms for iris recognition. "You have to be looking at the camera so you pretty much have to be a cooperative and willing subject." We're already used to pervasive tracking of our daily routine online. Web sites immediately identify visitors based on tiny files called "cookies" placed in their hard drives. It's these trackers that allow Arnazon.com to greet you by name and make suggestions of books you might like based on your past buying behavior. Though privacy advocates wail mightily, attempts to legislate privacy have generally been unable to withstand corporate Arnerica's thirst for marketing knowledge about its customers. In the movie, murderers are stopped before they kill by a "pre-crime unit" based on the predictions of "pre-cogs." Cruise plays Det. john Anderton, who must run when he's arrested for the future murder of a man he's never met. It's based on a 1956 short story by Philip K. Dick. one of science fiction's more dystoplan writers. Dick's work, written at the height of the Red Scare, was a meditation on the nature of free will, destiny and whether society has the right .to protect itself at the expense of the individual. And in Dick's story. unlike the movie, there's no happy ending: Anderton goes to prison for the crime he didn't commit.

,faces robot surveillance .'spiders" that are future may not be this extreme.

USAF Acknowledges Beam Weapon Readiness

By David A. Fulghum/Awiation Week & Space Technology

04-Oct-2002 5:20 PM U.S. EDT

Directed-energy technology is ready to be used as weaponry and, in a mature state, one device carried by an unmanned aircraft could attack each of 100 targets with 1,000 pulses of energy in a single sortie, says a former director of the U.S. Air Force's high-power microwave program.

"Except for the standard rifle, gun, knife or grenade, virtually all military equipment contains some electronics" that are vulnerable to a large pulse of energy, wrote Air Force Col. Eileen M. Walling. "Military commanders are in a state of virtually total dependence on radios, telephones, satellite communications, computers and faxes for communication with military units." Other targets include artillery targeting devices, guidance and control on precision munitions, and even locomotive engines. She also suggests HPM could be used to protect U.S. satellites and attack those of a foe without creating clouds of debris that could damage other spacecraft.

Having spent most of her career working on directed-energy technology issues, she wrote a research paper on what she considers an underrated weapons technology. Entitled "High Power Microwaves: Strategic and Operational Implications for Warfare," it was published by the Air University's center for strategy and technology in early 2000. Walling is now a division chief in Air Force Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

"The projected maximum capability for a microwave [armed] UCAV is approximately 100,000 pulses of microwave energy (or shots) per mission," Walling wrote. "If one assumes 1,000 pulses per target, it is conceivable that a microwave UCAV could attack on the order of 100 targets per mission. In addition, a microwave system could be used to protect the UCAV from enemy missiles [even] if the enemy has the ability to detect low-observable aircraft."

HPM also affects a larger area than a bomb, but without harming physical structures or people. A 1-ton bomb creates damage in a radius of about 120 ft. "The footprint of a microwave munition is at least 100 times greater than that of a conventional munition," the report states. That may be a bloated number if applied to developmental weapons currently available for use against Iraq, according to other U.S. officials. They usually describe effects in terms of a few thousand feet or less. In fact, the primary stumbling block for directed-energy weapons is achieving sufficient range and power levels to be effective.

U.S. MILITARY RESEARCH laboratories have demonstrated HPM effects ranging from upsetting to destroying the electronics within military and commercial systems, Walling noted. The paper's conclusion, made more than two years ago, is that "high-power

microwave technology is ready for the transition to active weapons in the U.S. military." Both Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and the chief of U.S. Air Forces, Europe, Gen. Gregory Martin, have said publicly that unspecified new developmental weapons technology could be used in an attack on Iraq. Facilities that manufacture, store or dispense chemical, biological and nuclear weapons are a "target set" particularly earmarked for energy weapons, according to statements made this summer and fall by U.S. aerospace industry officials. Conventional attacks could leave plumes of lethal agents adrift.

HPM devices have great potential both as offensive and defensive weapons, Walling said. She cited a 1998 Air Force survey--"Directed-Energy Applications for Tacti cal Airborne Combat"--that found the top four priorities were for microwave weapons (instead of lasers) in the areas of precision-guided munitions, large aircraft self-protection shields, small aircraft self-protection shields and as weapons for unmanned combat air vehicles. As a munition, some developmental systems are believed to be ready for combat in Iraq. Boeing plans to build an HPM weapon into the Block 30 version of its X-45 UCAV.

These weapons also could be built into a pod for carriage on a helicopter or packaged as artillery shells, scatterable mines and 1-ton bombs, the report said. As a defensive system, it contends HPM devices could ward off infrared- and radar-guided missiles. A phased-array antenna allows for rapid retargeting.

The report quickly ticks off the advantages of HPM weapons: They don't rely on exact knowledge of the enemy system. They leave persisting effects in enemy targets that may take weeks to find and repair. Even if enemy systems are turned off, they are still affected. And to counter HPM, the entire system must be hardened, which is a very expensive process.

An energy pulse can get into an enemy system by the "front door," which means its own antenna, dome or other sensor opening; or through the "back door," which includes cracks, seams, trailing wires, metal conduits of seals. Once inside, the emissions can destroy or disrupt integrated circuits, circuit cards and relay switches. The system's own electronic circuitry transmits the pulse, and resulting damage, even deeper into the system.

In the microwave technical community, the ability to scale or increase the effects is often described as "dial a hurt," Walling said. Results depend on the distance between the HPM weapon and the target, the vulnerability of the target, the power generated, and the characteristics of the microwave emission including frequency, burst rate and pulse duration. A rough scale describes four levels of effects:

* Deny, which involves electronic upset or jamming. It might cause malfunctions within relay and processing circuits.

* Degrade, which involves locking up a system or limiting its capabilities enough to require rebooting. It can include signal override or turning power on and off at irregular intervals.

* Damage, which includes permanent effects that "latch up" a system. This can mean damage to components, circuit cards or mother boards, as wells as weeks to diagnose and repair the problems. Because microwaves can enter through multiple entry points, it is likely numerous circuits and components will be damaged.

* Destroy, which means catastrophic and permanent injury to the system, requiring total replacement.

ANTENNA TECHNOLOGY is crucial for HPM weapons. Field of view for the phased-array emitter is expected to vary from several to tens of degrees. The multi-element design allows it to be built conformally into a pod or UCAV. Because it doesn't require precise aiming, there are far fewer stringent pointing and tracking requirements, Walling said. The microwaves' cone could offer a means to attack multiple targets at once; for example, all of the equipment in an antiaircraft missile site.

The range of HPM weapons has always been a concern. Tests have shown effects at tens to "more than" hundreds of feet. Walling seemed more optimistic. "With current technology, the range for a tactical microwave weapon could be in the tens of kilometers, and future advances . . . should permit the development of even longer ranges," the report said.

Other advantages cited for HPM weapons are that they would be immune to the weather and could produce multiple shots on a single mission. However, the report also alludes to single-shot designs. These latter seem to address concerns that side and back lobes from the generation of an HPM pulse could affect the carrying aircraft's own electronics.

Power levels for HPM weapons are increasing. The report said one microwave source weighing less that 45 lb. radiated 1 gigawatt of power within a few nanoseconds. A 400-lb. system radiated 20 gigawatts. The report noted that Hoover Dam generates 2 gigawatts per day. The HPM weapon would draw power from the air vehicle's engines, which would let it make a number of attacks during a mission.

I just took a day off
to tour the one open road in our forest
after the 500000 acre "Bisquit fire"
which burned from July 13th tilL?
so i started out in Smith River California
and up eastward i went
within 10 miles i was into the burnt trees and blackened rocks
it was eye openinning to visulise
that trees this small
with no underbrush and spaced so far apart

could be so toast
the once red rocks are black now
vistas of this for 37 miles in
and 37 miles back

some trees had a little "hat" of green
above their brown burnt selves
there were NO ANIMALS left to be seen
PETA where are you when it counts

then things got stranger as i came up to the ROAD CLOSURE sign
$5000 and 6 months in jail if you step over this line

interestingly~ this was in a place very remote
in the past
but now a major freeway is there
i ventered a quarter mile into this NO FLY zone to see a major logging op
of un singed GREEN trees
then turnned around to retreat to the edge of the no entry zone
to have a bite to eat
and while no animal or bird sounds
surrounded me
the wind cryed mary~ if you know what i mean
so this truck is ableing up the road
and some equipment i have never heard is grinding
just over the hill
upon a sunday afternoon

this guy in a red truck with washington state plates comes along
and i stand in the road with my arms waveing
(this is out in absolute nowhere you must understand)but there is this major new "haul road" with downed Blue painted tree butt smilie faces on the butt end of these fallen trees
and he drives by as if he does not see me

so i turnned back homeward
and began to have interfearing thoughts
accompanied by side of vision flashes
of things not of this reality

thoughts came upon me of concurant reality
in one and the same place

as if two conciouseness's were occupieing
the same space

the newer? reality was dropping webstrands
glinting off the setting sun
drapped over every river rock
sailing in the forest underbrush
gleeming for none to see

the older? haNGING TOUGH intercepting waves
of the new? old? vourld oder
slip slidding into
now

into the "hazard zone" the publik knot allowed
came across an operation
that can not being harpenning
say Jay ReynoldZ
can you say cheeZE?
big smile
"you can fool some of the sheeple
between 4PM and 5
you can fool most of the peop,le
after midnight
(except in daylight saving tyme)
but if your SS# endz in 2
you cant fool anyone anytime
[does the cabinate even have a SS#?]
let this one fly

what seems to be a vast unstopable monster

so fragile and endangerered~ it builds tunnels and self defence
mechanisms so tight
it can barely see out nor breath

it is so good at the art

yet cannot protect
vote for US they creap

they reverberate against themselves again

silly folks that we are
we see when the sky is plade
with criss crossed emmisions planned
we research upon a spare momment and report
and the best the GOV can come up with is
drum roll~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
it ain't harppening
don't you love it
can you live a few parsects while
these slimy antihumans clear the planet of their kind
some might question if the doubt placed upon them that
"they only live once" and thus
would never have to "fess up"
well it cuts both ways
you would never have to pay your credit taxes
nor burn in hell
a convienient solution to stir in media

just swinging with the free flow thoughts
i wont mention those too close
good night

so we find ourselves entwined in this situation where we have a choise
as "goood citizenZ" we can betray our democracy and constitution by conciously ignoreing
all that is harrping ing around US
