During WWII contrails helped fighter pilots spot enemy airplanes in the sky of Europe, this documented everywhere on the internet. Now how would you guys explain that? Do you think that chemtrails existed in the 40's? If it was, how come this hasn't come into the media spotlight yet? I mean it's been over 60 years!

Of course those were contrails (seriously) I mean there wasn't a long cloud stretching from take off to targets, or spreading into cirrus looking clouds like some do today, lets explain that one.

Yes they did. The crews sometimes had to find new routes back to the base because of the gigantic cloud base they had created when they passed through.

Professor where do you get your information regarding the contrails not spreading? Just because there are no pictures of it occuring? I think those pilots and people on the ground were more concerned about living into the next day to take some pictures of clouds. In fact PHXPilot is quite correct, that all those bombers would usually make their weather on the way back to base quite miserable.

Yeah I understand the WW2 contrails that pilots were talking about giving their position away, they were quite long but didn't figure they lasted hours or into the next day.

Contrails can still give positions away. Often in weather briefings military combat pilots get, they are told at what altitudes contrails can be expected
