I regret not taking a picture. Boy do I regret it. But I was leaving to go somewhere and of course, no camera. In fact, this is the second or 3rd of the kind I've seen lately. The cloud is round, and it seems to have it's outer edges in some sort of swirling pattern. And sticking out of the bottom is a blatant funnel tyle spout, curving at an angle like a horn. The round part was a darker color and the spout was light white. The spout/horn part coming out of the bottom seemed detached from the circle.. almost placed there. it didn't seem a direct part of the circle... again, as if it was placed there. It was insane. If ONE person thought this was natural upon seeing it... I pity the stupidity of that person. NEXT time I'm driving back and taking a pic!! Oh yeah, and we were chemmed to death again today. BLATANT lines, criss crosses, this new-type whisping type "cloud" with feathers and strings. Oh the strings. Everywhere strings. But we all know clouds always had strings and tentacles *roll eyes*.

I have seen and photographed lots of those "fake funnel" clouds. They seem to be occurring along with popcorn clouds as they quickly appear or disappear. The other time I see them is when there are hole punch clouds. There is a link at or near the end of the Hole Punch Cloud thread, complete with the ridiculous "canned" response as to what is thought to cause them. Added correction: that's in the Hole's in Cloud's thread.

Actually, it stayed there for hours. Whatever it was, it wasn't natural. ETA: this thing was huge.

This late afternoon on the near western horizon we had an array of funnel type "clouds" pointing spouts downward, as jets* left fresh chemtrails on the more distant western horizon in the background. There were luminescent rainbow colors above the funnel clouds where the sun's rays had tried to break through. * - My assumption is they were jets, you could not see them.
