To all:

A frequent comment by chemtrail opponents, and something the "debunkers" frequently try to use as "proof" that the opponents "don't know what they're talking about" is plane separation.

Chemtrail opponents have often commented on the apparently illegally close spacing of jets, in many parts of the country. If these were jets flying on FAA authorized flight paths, they wouldn't be as close as they appear. "Debunkers", trying to cast a pall of unbelievability on chemtrail oppnents’ assertions, have condemned the complaints, insisting that the jets only "seemed" close, but were, in fact, "miles apart". They invoke ideas like foreshortening and perspective to suggest that if planes appear the same size, at a distance, they can still be far apart! In fact, a relationship between the size of the objects, the distance between them, and their distance from you determines how they look. For objects small compared to a mile, if they are only a couple of miles from you, yet are the same apparent size, they will be close to each other!

A decision to address this seems to have been made by government. Rather than admit that the jets seen flying close together are actually non-commercial flights, instead, they seem to be willing to announce the decision to authorize closer approaches in flight. They are, apparently, also admitting to the close approach distances that chemtrail opponents have referred are, in fact, true!

On February 16, 2004, the News12 Tri-State Area local cable affiliate aired a segment, "The friendly skies may get more crowded above the Garden State"! Claiming that "the skies are becoming more crowded, and that could mean danger for New Jersey's airports", the article mentioned that, among other things, "last year, there were 19 incidents of planes flying too close together above New York and New Jersey". And this may only be accommodating chemtrail opponent claims! This works out to about one occurrence at least every month and a half, or so, for each state. This may be close to the rate of such events mentioned by chemtrail opponents across the country, indicating that the claims of aircraft close approaches were correct!

The article also mentions that Presidents Bush "wants to cut 13 percent from the Federal Aviation Administration's budget for upgrading air traffic control equipment", and, perhaps even more indicative, that the FAA is "proposing next year to tighten the spacing between in-air jets in order to get more planes in the sky and cut down on departure delays". The new separation rules seem to provide that "planes flying between 29,000 feet and 41,000 feet would need to have a vertical distance of 1,000 feet between them instead of the current 2,000 feet." Evidently, the government plans to send even more chemtrail related jets into the sky, next year, and want them not to be viewed suspiciously, for flying closer together than would be legal for commercial flights. The "explanation" of wanting "to get more planes in the sky" seems eminently spurious, given the apparent overall decrease in interest in flying! Even if it got back to levels it was at, before 2001, there would be no need to accommodate more planes in the air than were there just before 2001! When approaches were more “traditional”!

Chemtrail opponents should not allow those dedicated to obfuscation of the truth cause them to doubt their interpretations of what they see!
