T/S "They" already know! I am on at least 2 "lists" that I know of...My so called gifts have been documented since childhood. My time draws near and is growing very short...The time for fear of speaking is too late...I have "lost" a few colleagues because of their investigations/research into ufos...so that is the least of it. Freedoms just another word for nothin left to loose...I appreciate your advice T/S...I'm sure it was sincere and in no way a threat....we wouldn't do things like that on a public board, would we...it was advice, of course. I have endured enuf "incidents" recently to realize the writing on the wall. Still got to speak to what is true and real and right. Yes, the terrorist has evil eyes...I have seen those types of eyes many times before...I have also met Angels, so....Fear not! Blessings, J.

You're right, of course. "Gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em"...Still, can't help worrying when you know, "There is a bad moon on the rise"...and wonder about "Revolution Callin,"(Queensryche)...What the hell, Cher said it best..."If I Could Turn Back Time"...(and know then what I know now.) I said that...Blessings, Joanne ^j^ P.S. Mark said about pleasant dreams?? People actually still sleep? What is that?? I have an "Ugly Cat-nap" for a few minutes sometimes...but sleep? J.

I guess we could have a lot of different reactions to this supposedly "terrorist" act. We could roll over and play dead...turn the other cheek...and let "them" destroy us. Or, we can retaliate. The trick is figuring out who really is responsible. Looks like Bin Ladin, but did he have help? There are many different groups out there with their own agendas that could have been involved. If they weren't directly involved, then they will use this event to further their own plans. Globalists, militia groups, shadow government, "aliens", etc. ad nauseum. We need to ask God for the wisdom to see things for what they really are and the strength to act accordingly. If we go off half-cocked based on our own feelings...we'll suffer the consequences. I would not want to be George Bush's enemy right now. My guess is that he is not going to bomb a couple of embassies and call it even. He seems like the type of person who will methodically hunt down the people who are responsible for these actions and the terrorism before that, and very patiently remove their ability to threaten the good people of the United States ever again.

I hope you are right 3T3. now is not the time for people to talk negatively about our President, regardless of political affiliation (or lack thereof). And his statement to the press yesterday was an obvious show of strength with Colin Powell on one side and Dick Cheney on the other. Now if we just had Schwarzie!

A Libertarian perspective:

When Will We Learn?
By Harry Browne
9-12-1

The terrorist attacks against America comprise a horrible tragedy. But they shouldn't be a surprise.

It is well known that in war, the first casualty is truth -- that during any war truth is forsaken for propaganda. But sanity was a prior casualty: it was the loss of sanity that led to war in the first place.

Our foreign policy has been insane for decades. It was only a matter of time until Americans would have to suffer personally for it. It is a terrible tragedy of life that the innocent so often have to suffer for the sins of the guilty.

When we will learn that we can't allow our politicians to bully the world without someone bullying back eventually?

President Bush has authorized continued bombing of innocent people in Iraq. President Clinton bombed innocent people in the Sudan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Serbia. President Bush Senior invaded Iraq and Panama. President Reagan bombed innocent people in Libya and invaded Grenada. And on and on it goes.

Did we think the people who lost their families and friends and property in all that destruction would love America for what happened? When will we learn that violence always begets violence?

Teaching Lessons

Supposedly, Reagan bombed Libya to teach Muammar al-Qaddafi a lesson about terrorism. But shortly thereafter a TWA plane was destroyed over Scotland, and our government is convinced it was Libyans who did it.

When will we learn that "teaching someone a lesson" never teaches anything but resentment -- that it only inspires the recipient to greater acts of defiance.

How many times on Tuesday did we hear someone describe the terrorist attacks as "cowardly acts"? But as misguided and despicable as they were, they were anything but cowardly. The people who committed them knowingly gave their lives for whatever stupid beliefs they held.

But what about the American Presidents who order bombings of innocent people -- while the Presidents remain completely insulated from any danger? What would you call their acts?

When will we learn that forsaking truth and reason in the heat of battle almost always assures that we will lose the battle?

Losing our Last Freedoms

And now, as sure as night follows day, we will be told we must give up more of our freedoms to avenge what never should have happened in the first place.

When will we learn that it makes no sense to give up our freedoms in the name of freedom?

What to Do

What should be done?

First of all, stop the hysteria. Stand back and ask how this could have happened. Ask how a prosperous country isolated by two oceans could have so embroiled itself in other people's business that someone would want to do us harm. Even sitting in the middle of Europe, Switzerland isn't beset by terrorist attacks, because the Swiss mind their own business.

Second, resolve that we won't let our leaders use this occasion to commit their own terrorist acts upon more innocent people, foreign and domestic, that will inspire more terrorist attacks in the future.

Third, find a way, with enforceable constitutional limits, to prevent our leaders from ever again provoking this kind of anger against America.

Patriotism?

There are those who will say this article is unpatriotic and un-American - that this is not a time to question our country or our leaders.

When will we learn that without freedom and sanity, there is no reason to be patriotic? ___

Harry Browne was the 2000 Libertarian presidential candidate.

You have a right to your opinion, Chem. Harry Browne has a right to his. We could retreat to mountain fortresses, surrounded by money, and cut ourselves off from those who are in need. I don't want us to be the world's policeman, either. But my opinion is, we are a world power and we can't pretend we are not.

I have been talking to people and reading, and maybe, just maybe, the way those towers fell was the way it would have fallen with all that fuel dripping down the beams, weakening the entire structure evenly. I don't know what to think right now, but apologise for adding fuel to an already burning fire. I think I will sit back for a while and see what evolves, and keep my fingers shut for now, and my mind open.

Thanks for that insightful correspondence, Mark. Unless people begin to understand what is fueling this endless cycle of violence, it will continues to gather momentum and more innocent lives will be lost.

Now... those that wish to hold the people responsible for Osama Bin Laden's training and financial support are going to be in for a rude awakening once they do a little bit of research. If we are to hold the nation that harbored him responsible, we must also hold the nation that turned this man into a state-sponsored terrorist responsible.

Would anyone care to advance an educated guess who that guility party is?

I'll spare you all the collective suspense.

We are.

The United States Central Intelligence Agency taught this man every thing he knows about terrorism and financed his activities during the war in Afghanistan.

Our tax dollars trained the prime suspect in this despicable act. Who is responsible? We are. And we will contine to have the blood of our fellow citizens on our hands until we take personal resposiblity for our nation's actions. As long as this country continues to wallow in denial, hypocrisy, and inner blindness our self-created monsters will come back to bite us. Again and again and again.

I've heard all the arguements for military action made recently made prior to the Gulf War. And the war mongers won. Has anthing changed? Perhaps, but hardly for the better.

There are people within our military that are seriously considering the possibilty of using nuclear weapons. Are you ready for that? Are you ready for nuclear war? Do you still feel safe in your prior assumptions regarding America's invulnerability?

Now, I believe that if someone pushes you, you push back. Apparently the Arab world feels the same.

If I was sitting in the Oval Office (or Air Force One being shuttled all over the country protected by fighter esecort), here's what I would do:

1)Deploy American military resources in a pro-active, defense based posture to ensure the safety of our citizens.

2) Mount an agressive campaign to push alternative energy sources to end our dependance on foreign oil (insert hysterical laughter here. Oil runs through the Bush family's veins like blood).

3) Refocus our intelligence agencies on HUMINT and away from COMINT. Terrorists don't play wargames on Apple G4's across broaband connections. They draw their battle plans in the sand outside of secluded caves in the middle of the desert.

4) Put a $20,000,000 bounty on Osama Bin Laden, delivered alive, if we have enough probable cause to to charge him with terrorist acts against the US. The current reward is a pittance.

4) End this nation's shameful policy of arming and training terrorsits to pursue our agendas in foreign lands.

5) Completely divorce ourselves from further conflicts in the middle east. The only reason we are meddling in the affairs of these nations is because of our dependance on foreign oil. See number one.

Now, would anyone like to submit a plan involving blowing away more innocent civilians that is somehow going to solve our long-term problems?

Complete and full support, eh? To me complete and full would be indicative of a recent decision to sign up, as opposed to making racist comments on internet message boards.

I've heard some pretty sweeping comments made in the last few days, but condemning all of Islam is irrational. What are you going to do, T/S? Run around Oklahoma City offing 'anything in a turban'?

I asked for suggestions on how to solve our long-term foreign policy probelms. Not more bloodthirsty rants.

Listen to Topgun. He knows something that apparently some of you folks still remain blisfully unaware of. We are that close to WWIII. That close.

If you start seeing mushroom clouds and entire cities being incinerated you may regret not taking a look at the bigger picture here, T/S.

BTW, I turned down a job a few years back. Actually I screwed myself politically by accepting the same position in a different region, one where the supervisor was someone I had hung out to dry (unbeknownst to me). As soon as I walked through the door I was informed that the position had 'already been filled' and that 'some sort of mistake had been made'.

Anyway, if I would had have accepted the position in NYC, I would have been pulling down close to six figures for being VP of Staring Out the Window. Needless to say, I've been kicking myself ever since. Until Sept 11, that is.

Guess where my office would have been?

Yep, that's right. That could have been me trapped beneath 110 stories of rubble. Or diving off the 83rd floor of tower number one. But if somebody asked me If I thought avenging my death was worth countless of other innocent lives and unimaginable horror, I'm pretty sure I would have suggested that fullscale (and possibly thermonuclear) war was a genuinely bad idea.

Those people are dead, T/S. Killing more people isn't going to bring them back.

I suspect that in the days and weeks to come, our leaders our going to tell us that the war they want to engage us in is winnable. It's not.

They may very well tell us that they will bea able to protect the citizens of this country from further attacks. I doubt this very much, in light of recent events.

This attack was methodically planned out over a period of years. I suggest we take at least a few moments to think about a measured and intelligent response before we let generals and politicians lead us into yet another mass grave.

where was this comment butthole ? I have been pro-American for a longtime...I do not support foreigners or their opinions regarding our country when they don't live here...it would be like you complaining about my weather...you know not...for you ain't here !

you chem11 clearly do not understand reason and logic, and time after time you result to personal attacks to make points...in this case...mythological...

Why don't you move if you don't like it here...my boarders were violated and my countrymen killed...

quote:

Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans--born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage--and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility--I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it--and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.

And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country.

My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.

Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us here the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own.

Do you always judge a person by the
hat or head covering they choose to
wear?

Theseeker say's:
[Plainly put, I would hope and surely expect a massive 3 day non-stop air-raid would start like now...and hopefully not a turban would be left standing....]

The world is mourning this dispicable
act or terrorism. People of all colors
and countries, hats and faiths lost their
lives. A reign of terror on humanity.

Are we to be whipped into a frenzy to
bomb another country into the stone
age while the demonic perpetrators
go unscathed to usher in a new world
order?

I hope and pray that cooler heads will
prevail and I pray that someday you
may have the wisdom to judge a man
by what's in his heart rather than what's
on his head.

The silence of two individuals is screaming in my ears.
The traitor know as William Jefferson Clinton
the one most responsible for the selling and giving away of secrets and the selling out of America and the American people.
I can visualize him smiling, smug satisfaction on his lying traitorous face.

And the two faced womanizer and so called proponet of world peace: Jesse Jackson.

Where are their profound words of wisdom right now? Probably both on the phone congratulating the responsibles.

If you are referring to Chickie Deb's slander, you're damn right I would have sought a legal remedy.

Since I wasn' the victim, it's hardly fair to say that I was threatening anyone with legal action.

Two arrests already made in Seattle from people attacking 'anything in a turban'.

btw, your just like vec and don and all the rest that say they will sue....all talk...if your going to prove a defamation of character suit, first you would have to establish that you had character to begin with...the debunkers at deb's are considering publically to turn those who promote violence against the military over to the fbi...I wonder if they are not like vec, don and you....

Once again, it is not posible for me to sue anyone, t/s. I wan't accused of being a 'domestic terrorist'. So your continued nonsensensical ranting is innacurate.

I think Lo has proven she has character, btw.

And I'm beginning to see why you've been banned from multiple message boards. If anyone has anything in common with the NSAsucks' and Cydoniaquests of the world, I'm afraid it is you, based on that fact alone.

Sounds like you need to 'seek' a drink before you start going into withdrawls. Get yourself a bottle of Night Train or something. I'm buying!
