I noticed that the midi's aren't playing for some reason when opening a post in which they are embedded. Perhaps it's only on my end but when I go into a post with an embed I only hear a brief noise that quickly cuts off, and the midi doesn't play

I think it's on your end Alpha. Check your control panel and also check under accessories on your start menu and see what you're using for multimedia. If you have a CD Drive, put in a music CD and see if it starts playing. Here's an unembeded midi and a wav file to test your software with.Midi http://www.wtv-zone.com/gerzpages/mid3/wonderfulw.mid My windows media player activates when I click either of the links.

You're right, I had a feeling it was on my end. I didn't change anything but after opening a midi in it's own MP window, I was able to hear the embedded midis again. Thanks.

These computers can be a litle bit tempermental sometimes. It's happened to me a couple of times too, but I've been able to get the midi player to work again.Krissa, I got a prompt to download the wav so I deleated that link. BTW, with the wav, my real player activated and with the midi, my media played activated.
