I know this topic has most likely been brought to the table more than once, but I don't feel very well and don't feel like searching for it. Can you all tell me what you think of the flu shot? I have never had one, but a family member of mine had one back in 1999 and it nearly did him in. He battled from December until the next spring with respiratory problems. Don't know and am not saying that the vaccine attributed to it, just seems like it had a bad effect if you ask me. He was fine before he took it! Thank you for any info you can give, Watcher

Hi watcher 2002! I would never get a flu shot and have been urging family members and friends not to either. Stay away from vaccines of any kind!!!

Watcher, vaccines are a funny thing, they can save lives and they can ruin lives. It all depends on body chemistry, what is in the vaccine and how it affects a particular person. It is really a gamble. As for myself, I would never take a flu shot. I trust that if I'm unlucky and actually catch something, my body can handle it quickly. But to each their own...

I've never had a flu shot, and won't get one. You don't know what is in it, and I don't trust the medical profession a whole lot (sorry). Remember how HIV got to people? In "harmless" vaccines purposely put there.. something to think about.

I guess it's playing the percentages. I read somewhere that flu shots are responsible for three or four deaths a year, and for saving three or four thousand lives a year.My family's been taking flu shots for about ten years now and we're fine, nor have we contracted the flu. Would we have contacted the flu without the flu shots? I don't know. The bottom line is to either do a bunch of unbiased research (which I haven't done because there're more things for me to do) or talk to someone whom you think has the information. The people I trust about health say the benefits of vaccines and western medicine outweight he disadvantages. But it's your body! ------------------ Duncan Kunz / duncankunz@home.com Mesa AZ / 480-891-2525
