All of the photos were taken by me and Carissa's mom, Terri. They are from different cameras, rolls of film, different ages and places.
Just goes to show old Occam's not always right...

The "spinal column" is clearly the short, black, nylon wrist strap from the camera hanging in front of the lens. With this type of camera, you do not look through the lens, but through a viewfinder, and are unaware of what's in front of the lens until you see the photos. It gets its ghostly appearance from lens flare, being way out of focus, and it's proximity to the lens. If a flash is used, the effect is worse because of the reflection of the flash back into the lens from such a close object.Even so, any dunderhead can see it's the wrist strap, no explanation is necessary, really. It looks exactly like a wrist strap, what a coincidence! Remind me not to trust any of your judgements regarding photos!

This one does look like a wristband:
I don't know about these:
If this is a wriststrap they must have really bad camera technique.
I sent them an email and asked them if they have a strap on their camera.

They are all the same thing, just different distances from the lens.

Aloha Mark! Nice to meet you! NO....the photos are authentic! I've had alot of comments....I was on an ABC TV special that aired on Oct. 28th....there was a parapsychologist on the show that was involved with another story....but in 1995 he told me (on tv) that what I had was plastic tubing from an oxygen tank!!!! At that time I only had 3 photos of Carissa. As of this date we have 10. Photographers have been her mom and myself. I'm in touch with a woman in PA who is involved in the re-enactment at Gettysburg and she has shared some fantastic photos of "globules". I also have a "friend" in MO who is a "ghost cop"....and when the photos first started up I sent him a copy and negative and his son checked it out.....they have been my supporters ever since! Thanks for writing....if you have had any experiences or photos....DO share it! I have been getting interesting stories. My daughter who works at American in Dallas got alot of co-workers to see that ABC special and they have told her many stories about themselves. One of them taped the show and the video is being passed around like a library book! Aloha! Norma Joiner

Heh heh. Oh the joys of creative photography for fun and profit. This guy claims he was on a TV segment, too: "How To Create Fake Ghost Photos". He shares some good bulb photography techniques at: http://www.members.home.com/roddydouglas/ghost-front-door.html Check out some of the amateur-user pics at his link "Real or Fake?" Some are pretty good!
