Hi everybody, I don't know if anyone has an interest in astrology, but I do, and know of a VERY talented astrologer whom now sends me his column every week. This guy predicted the election recount fiasco the week before it happened and has made believer's out of sceptics, right before my eyes. This week looks ESPECIALLY interesting for the world at large:>>> July 30 - August 5 2001 Highlights: Last week the most remarkable feature among the planets was a host of soft (pleasant) aspects, trines (120 degrees) and sextiles (60 degrees) created by the very active motion of the Moon. The Moon's raison d'etre is to trigger more important planetary transits using emotions allowing all hell to inevitably break loose if stress aspects are present. Last week there was only a very sweet and soft Venus transit for the Moon to trigger. As a matter of fact, not even the Moon itself made an opposition so we had one of the most astrologically agreeable weeks I have seen in a long time. I apologize to those of you who had some troubles because your personal charts were triggered but believe me, it could have been far worse otherwise. This week reverses the whole scenario because of the many planetary oppositions topped off by a Full Moon in Aquarius which is an opposition in itself. The week begins with the Sun opposing Neptune in Aquarius followed by Mercury doing the same thing. The Sun and Mercury are planets that increase consciousness and intellectual understanding, while Neptune confuses and obfuscates issues using subversive emotions. These two oppositions create a conflict that points to deliberate attempts by people in power (Leo) to deceive or delude the public, here ruled by Aquarius. While this is taking place the Moon will oppose most of the planets -- thus creating a variety of emotional responses. On Friday, August 4th the Full Moon in Aquarius will cause public outcry and rebelliousness to those in power. This particular Full Moon is one of the year's four most powerful Full Moons and there's every chance that it may be the strongest because it triggers a clash of wills and ideologies between powerful people. This is also an explosive and unpredictable energy in which people act irrationally and rebelliously. Leo's, beware of fights and Aquarians, watch your tempers. Scorpio's and Taurus's should stay out of other people's problems for awhile. The Full Moon exactly sextiles Pluto at the same time, stirring spiritual and religious discussion into these conflicts. I believe that United States foreign affairs will contribute to this conflict and trigger a long term problem or crisis that is emphasized by a very malefic and scary Saturn/Pluto opposition that starts next Sunday night. This opposition is one of the most difficult that there is and only appears once within a generation or about every 30 years. This I will have to explain in detail next week as it develops. Web addition: The more I examine this Full Moon, the more I'm sure that some thing is up. The reason that I believe this is because at the exact time of the Full Moon, both Saturn and Pluto are making supportive trine and sextile aspects to both the Moon and the Sun. Normally this would only be mildly significant but since Saturn and Pluto are entering into an opposition for the first time since 1965, this could mean that the disruptive and anti-conservative element of Aquarius will serve as a trigger for the same energy that began the anti-war movement in the 1960's and changed the shape of America's culture and political direction. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and they both influence religion and philosophy so Jupiter is a good indicator of what aspect of Pluto's energy will be expressed. Jupiter will conjunct both Venus and the Moon's North Node right after the opposition to Pluto from Saturn. This is an unusual aspect that could indicate a spiritual awakening throughout our society that will start a movement for peace and to be responsible for the less fortunate in our world. This is also a time when in our personal lives when we turn to aspects of life that promise greater spiritual fulfillment and love even if it means leaving things behind. I will have a fascinating look at the potential for change in our society next week.<<<

Kneweyes, I love what you posted...I think maybe Thermit could let it be a feature here at freeform ,it would be a fabulous idea...weekly atrology report with new updates as you discern them for us!!! Sounds like some really interesting days ahead and changes "InTheWind"!! One thing, Hubby is a Leo...uh oh, and me, I'm a Cancer, (Moon child)...Hubby gets me mad....(I "moon" him), just kiddin! But I have always been interested in Astrology but can't seem to figure it all out so I'm glad you have a thread going like this! BTW, What do you think of me and hubbies astrological combo??? Leo and Cancer Crab married together...Isn't one water?? Me, I think...and Leo "fire" sign...Bob is...or have I got it backwards?? If I'm water, no wonder I "put him out" sometimes...I douse his "flames"! If last week was better for relationships and this one not as good, I better really sit on my tongue...(Oh, God, what a mental picture that just created)! I should be "cheery" anyway tho, cause Hubby gets monthly V.A. Disability check and the 1st is almost here! Sorry, RTW, I'm still "hung up on stuff yet"...shopping. Just buying new towels cheers me up...what a "ditz" I am. Love you guys! Thanx Kneweyes again for a great thread. Love, Jo and hubby and 2 pups! ^j^

Ok, Ok,ok, you twisted my arm, and here is the second half of this weeks horoscope provided by the same astrologist whom sent me the above info of the week: >>>>>PERSONAL HOROSCOPES July 30th - August 5th 2001 ARIES (3/21 - 4/19): Your friends expect you to attend a special event. You should go because you will gain positive attention and valuable information from a past relationship.
TAURUS (4/20 - 5/20): Big changes in your career and public reputation could create conflicts in your family. They fear the change in lifestyle that this might bring - no matter how positive it seems.
GEMINI (5/21 - 6/20): You will come out of your shell and become more assertive starting with a conflict with someone you has deceived you. This will lead to a very dramatic scene in your job or career. CANCER (6/21-7/22): There could be chaos in your financial life as a result of a power struggle. You will have to face fears of loss as you lose old relationships and form new, more suitable ones for the future. LEO (7/23 - 8/23): A simple revelation about deception or manipulation within a relationship could blow up to include other people. This will be a turning point for an old relationship that haunts you. VIRGO (8/24 - 9/22): You have to avoid a situation at work where friends and associates are in conflict. They are trying to defend you but could put you in a precarious situation that makes it more difficult. LIBRA (9/23 - 10/23): You can't help expressing yourself truthfully about how upset you are regarding an injustice. You have plenty of support about this from others but it will still take courage to face authority figures. SCORPIO (10/24 - 11/22): Public actions that reveal secrets will cause emotional reactions and chaos with your family. Your relationships may seek financial retribution and dispute this publicly. SAGITTARIUS (11/23 -12/21): A family member's health becomes a real source of concern and will disrupt plans that you had for vacation or entertainment. Your partner will not see it the same way and will be a problem.
CAPRICORN (12/22 - 1/ 20): A very important change in your partner's financial situation will create enough conflict for you to consider legal help. A long struggle could ensue as a result or bring new employment. AQUARIUS (1/21 - 2/19): Your relationship with your child or creative pet project will enlighten you. It will begin as chaos and then settle into a more disciplined and deliberate approach to the problem. PISCES (2/20 - 3/20): Your partner is finally starting to understand what you are trying to achieve. This will demand very big changes that the whole family must accept in order to work positively in your favor.<<<<
