If you're among the lucky few to see
vintage aircraft in the sky, just relax and
enjoy them Fortunately you're still here
in the present and haven't ventured into
the past.
Some people enjoy antique
automobiles; they restore them, drive
them and show them. Some people
do the same thing with airplanes. This
is the season for air shows thru out the
country - try to find one to attend in your
area. You just may enjoy it.

Maybe a couple of "on board" pilots
can provide more information.
In the mean time check the following
sites if you're interested.

Nearly 10,000 members strong, the Vintage Aircraft Association brings together people from around the world  who share an interest in the aircraft of yesterday. Since it began in 1971, the association has been working to keep aviation history alive.  Members are active restorers and enthusiasts working to keep vintage aircraft in the air and flying for the pleasure and education of themselves and the public at large.

Here is your "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity to fly in one of America's most famous military airplanes, the B-17 Flying Fortress!

"Aluminum Overcast", the EAA Aviation Foundation's B-17 Bomber is geared-up
to continue its national tour beginning August 17, 2001.
The famous aircraft will be stopping in locations
throughout the Midwest United States this Summer, and fall.

The EAA Aviation Foundation is offering historic flight experiences in its beautifully restored B-17G Flying Fortress "Aluminum Overcast."  Fly a mission back in time and feel the might of this magnificent aircraft, just as those young men did more than 50 years ago, but this time without the flak. EAA Aviation Foundation's B-17 bomber "Aluminum Overcast".  This aircraft is an example of the American heavy bomber that helped turn the tide of battle in World War II.
