18 hits here out of three hundred some odd people coming into CC to see what the candle of peace thread was about. Thats speaks volumes of where this world is at....

RTW- Thank you very much for the link. I sent it to three people and I know that at least one of those people sent it to three more. The number of people that have visited that website brought tears to my eyes. Your voice here is important, as is everyone's. One of the great things about this place is that we don't all have to be alike. I think the different personalities help even out the extremes. And everyone grows and learns at their own pace. If you have outgrown this venue, I understand. But you do some of us a grave disservice by leaving in a huff.

Yes sad but true, as 3T3L1 mentioned in another thread, "our official enemies" in the middle east were celebrating yesterday for our agony, and i supose "our people" will feel all proud when "they get even".
But it is the little people that always suffer in these attacks and counter attacks.
It is never the instigator that truely suffers.
And as we all "know" (have been repeatedly told) "War is good for the economy"
and it is certainly good for the leaders because people tend to flock behind the "leader" most when there is conflict.
As someone once said RTW, You can take one small candle into a place of darkness and make it light, but you can't take a bit of darkness into the light and make it dark.
So why not stick around with a candle.

RTW, I have lighted candles, prayed, and cried and much more. I am very different from you, very confused, and strange and not perfect and may never change or "evolve" and I am the type of person, that probably no one could understand...very complex and different and high strung and I make lots of mistakes...To claim perfection would be folly on my part...but, at this stage in my life, time is short, to have any peace at all...I must be allowed to feel the way I feel, be allowed to like myself and be true to myself...when someone you care about can't accept that and finally just "love" you as you are...then it is not good for either person because it will lead to frustration and disappointment and aggravation. We do have to all learn at our own pace. I just can't seem to keep up anymore, that dosen't mean I'm a bad person. It hurts so very much to be constantly told your failings...that is what happened to us...and I could not handle that. We may never be able to "like" one another because of our differences...but we can love the souls that we know we truly are...different but good spirits. J. ^j^
