"Born in the USA, a patriotic and wonderful phrase!....But not many products marked "Made in the USA" these days!!"....We put up our flags, from China they're made....How bout American jobs?? Less of this "foriegn trade"??++++Slave labor and kids make most of our "things",....Our "bells and our whistles, our flags and our rings"!!......While our own folks go bankrupt, what next, "Bread lines"??....We should take heed to our actions, look at the signs!!.....Our leaders are in China wearing THEIR jacket....While making agreements, it's all such a racket!!!++++This War is a crock, it's about taking "their land"...Not about "Human rights" or drawing a "line in the sand"!....The "land" is needed for gas/oil pipeline use!!....Not a care is given to the citizens "abuse"!....We bomb and destroy, many "innocents" will die!....When our young boys are killed, we will all cry "Why"??++++If concerned, you're "alarmist", our folks state...While TPTB tell us to "hurry up and wait"!! They sell us pills and scare us with Anthrax,....No one questions who benefits, where are the facts?....Concerned here are "alarmists"??? Yet TPTB scare us much more,...And so do the "talking heads," every "media whore"!! We listen to THEIR "scares", their stories and lies,....While most have "investments" with enemy "foriegn ties"!!....They tell us to spend, they tell us to buy,....Forget all the horrors and how many folks die!!....We should appreciate more our loved ones and the earth,...and worry less about "Made in China" products and what they are worth!....Slaves make the "stuff" for mere pennies a day,....While we stupidly buy and constantly "over-pay"!....When in the malls, when do we see...."Made in America" stamped on? That's the key.....We need to "wake up", like "yesterday".....And think more about us, "Born in the USA"!!!!!! Joanne ^j^ ^j^

Don't agree with all you say Del...we've been down that road before. But you hit the nail on the head with Born in the USA. I proudly buy American (if and when I can find it!) And don't even mind paying a little more knowing that it was Born in the USA!Chems here all over the place. This guy Duncan self professed skeptic...is he looking at the same muck we are? Also OT remember those weird mushrooms you reported taking over...are you still seeing them? Did you ever post pics? Did they grow separate or in bunches? We've found something new in our yard over the last month.

FLKook, I already forgot what we disagreed about in reference to the above but I'm sure neither one of us needs to "go there" again anyway. I promised myself I wouldn't write anymore about anything "political" and here I go and did it some more...I know folks that voted for Bush are not gonna like what I say, business folks aren't gonna like what I say, and so on...a lot of the above are "truisms" when researched. Unfortunately. Anyway, we all have the right to our own opinions...that's what I've been trying to learn. And when I consciously "choose" to speak to controversial issues, I gotta expect many varied reactions. What I'm finally learning is to heck with if folks like me or not...ya gotta be true to yourself. I'm not always right or always wrong, but fall some where "in the middle", like most of us do.++++I have some mushrooms still of varying colors and styles. Putting the "business end" of the issue totally aside, altogether, what still amazes me is how the child and slave labor issue, the "other side of the coin", never gets addressed or forgotten altogether, in our defense of buying "foriegn", cheaper goods. Is there such a "low price" and value put on human life and human rights nowadays, that "saving money" is the only issue?? If our American businesses and workers expect and charge too much, maybe that is the problem we ought to address...what is wrong with the "picture" here and how do improve or change that?? Maybe too much greed on the part of some folks in this ole USA is what should be looked at.

Granted, the lil guy in America, the "small wage earner" isn't really the problem....every "lil guy" could offer to work for "less wages" tomorrow and that wouldn't solve a thing and only hurt the lil guy....The reason is that "big business" will always charge too much for their products, no matter where they are made, and therein, lies the rub! Maybe, we have allowed "Big Business" to get too big by paying those ridiculous prices for those ugly, cheesy lil cars they make nowadays. Maybe, we have out-done ourselves and out-maneuvered ourselves by over indulgence, waste, "status" symbols...it all boils down to the supply and demand thingy. Maybe we ought to get back to basics and old time values and not be so "hung up" on "things".

Oh please don't get me started on the cars of today, one word, junk. I agree with everything Delphi had to say, and I also try to buy "American" when I can. I can tell you the reasons for the current war, which will erupt into world war 3.. first of all we need a scapegoat, and what better people. Reguardless of the lies you hear on the news, civilians ARE being killed over there, and we don't care. To the people in control this is just a grand game. Human chess, and you're better dead than alive in their eyes. The final reason for the war is because the whole world has been worked over to accept the new world order, except for the arab countries. Them, and us to a point because we are armed, but how long is that going to last? Bin laden is spreading biowar in this country from a cave halfway around the world, come on, smell what you're shoveling. I got off topic a bit, but think about it.

Boo-Boo.....So close to Halloween, thought I'd let "this one" come back to haunt ya! BWAAAHHHH! Bumpity, bump, bump....This thread is a good one to get the ole "adrenaline flowin" in the big business segment and the "big Players" brigade.  They'll be on me like "China White" on rice...heh,heh!
