To anybody unfamiliar with the disclosure project a quote is taken from the webpage to provide a synopsis as to what they seek to do. Read further below to see the possible plot.-ET's extraterestrials the "race(s)" shrouded in mystery. -Disclosure project:

We have over 400 government, military, and intelligence community witnesses testifying to their direct, personal, first hand experience with UFOs, ETs, ET technology, and the cover-up that keeps this information secret. This is the “smoking gun”. " My theory is that if the disclosure project is the tool of the government it could have two functions, to either unveil the shroud of secrecy over the UFO's or to debunk and bury the issue as done in the past. If the government(U.S) decided to use the disclosure project to reveal to humanity another race of intelligent beings I am guessing(long shot here), that the government(U.S.) is going to provide the public a "watered down" version of the ET's motives and involvement with humans. Just like any other historic event, the media will play the role of the shepard herding the public. Does anybody have any opinions regarding the disclosure project and this theory or any other theories regarding the disclosure project?

Dr. Greer is a decent, hard-working and sincere researcher. This isn't any kind of 'limited hang-out' by the G. The live Disclosure webcast was virtually shutdown by a sophisticated cyberattack, which should probably tell you something...

Dr. Greer may truely be sincere but everybody is bought at a price. Take for example Colin Andrews before he sold his soul to the highest bidder.

Yes, and that would include you Mastermind. The difference is that Dr. Greer is a respected researcher whom I had the opportunity of meeting face-to-face.And you would be? A rhetorical question, Mastermind, but I hope you see my point. If you want to play the 'out a fifth columnist' game, I suggest you research your target, establish a credible case based on evidence and report back with your findings. There's plenty of folks in that field working both sides of the fence, but I don't believe that Dr. Greer is one of them. And insinuating that he is part of some disinformation campaign because 'everybody is bought' is painfully amateurish, especially for someone who goes by the screename 'Mastermind' (IN ALL CAPS).

Chem11, a handle is just that nothing more.This is just a theory, a poor one to you and others but a theory nonetheless. I simply put it out and the reader can draw shape their own opinion. I see you like to limit your scope of view by labeling certain idea's amateurish. There never been a problem with narrowing the view on things has there.

For anyone who had a chance to see the live web cast before the cyber attack.. they would probably come away with the opinion that this is not a government sponsored unveiling of ET's.. I for one did not get the impression that it was govt. sponsored and I didn't get that impression about Dr. Greer either.
I hope they get their web cast back on line... since I've been telling people about it.As to whether there will be an official disclosure by the govt. I think there's going to come a time when people are going to demand to know the truth... but I agree that it's going to be a watered down version of truth. We're not going to be let in on the whole truth.
The more research I do on historical subjects the more I find that there are pieces of information missing. Of course it's all for the purpose of controlling the masses. If too much information about the ET's got out it would seriously upset the status quo. Control must be maintained at all costs you know.

I did notice what seemed like an almost immediate shutdown of UFO-related TV programs on cable (The Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, The History Channel, FOX, etc.) following the date of The Disclosure Project release. Was it also around the time of the "new" administration? I could be wrong, but there seemed to be frequent stories and shows related to UFO's prior to The Disclosure Project release date, and then a kind of self-censorship(?) by those channels afterward. I did see something lately on The History Channel though, with video of a UFO I had never seen...seemed like new information to me. I've also wondered about programming in different areas of the country targeted for various reasons by TPTB to either receive or be denied information depending on differing objectives. But I'd guess that the UFO phenom would be a nationwide blackout as opposed to other political or mind control objectives that might be used to steer public opinion/desire in specific areas? I think there's a more concerted effort on the part of TPTB to withhold UFO/ET info than the more typical, routine conditioning/targeting missions carried out by electronic mass media(TV/radio) as directed by their (TPTB) superiors.
