A friend sent me this in my e-mail, stating only that it was done by a woman in Timmins, Ontario, and that this woman wins the ice sculpting contest every year. Wonder why?

Wow, the sculptor is definitely gifted! Maybe the govt/corp-controlled media ignorned it, becuase it might be construed as showing too much sorrow for the U.S., as in firefighter head bowed with flag on the ground? Too much as though the U.S. has fallen, even the angel is sad at the depths the U.S. has fallen?.. either because of Sept bombing, and/or a statement about the condition of the U.S.? Just an idea... could also be they (media) just never saw the sculpture. We/I somtimes tend to think that the media is all-powerful, omnipotent, all-seeing, (partly I think, because the media wants us to think that!). The controlled media is powerful, but in a negative way, IMO.

Here's something (I think) the controlled media has ignored on purpose (I saw it first on C-SPAN). But to me it's a very positive thing! quote:
http://www.ccmep.org/hotnews/israeli012802.html Israeli Soldiers Refuse to Serve in West Bank, Gaza
By Lee Hockstader
Washington Post Foreign Service Monday, January 28, 2002 JERUSALEM, Jan. 28 – More than 60 Israeli army reservists, half officers and all of them combat veterans, have publicly refused to continue serving in the West Bank and Gaza Strip on the grounds that Israeli occupation forces there are abusing and humiliating Palestinians. "We will no longer fight beyond the Green Line for the purpose of occupying, deporting, destroying, blockading, killing, starving and humiliating an entire people," declared the petition signed by the reservists and published in Israel's best-selling daily newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth. Over the years there have been instances of eligible Israelis declining to serve in the army at all, or refusing to serve in certain places for reasons of conscience or politics. What makes the current case unusual is that so many combat reservists, both soldiers and officers, have come forward publicly at one time. Moreover, the organizers of the petition – a pair of reserve lieutenants in their twenties who have served previous stints in the Israeli-occupied territories – say their goal is to collect 500 signatures in the coming weeks and launch a broad social campaign. "We all have limits," reserve Lt. David Zonshein, 28, a software engineer and one of the two men who drafted the petition, told Yedioth. "You can be the best officer, always be first .‚.‚. and suddenly you are asked to do things that should not be asked of you – to shoot people, to stop ambulances, to destroy houses in which you don't know if there are people living." Zonshein, who wrote the petition with reserve Lt. Yaniv Itzkovich, 26, a university teaching assistant, declined to speak with foreign correspondents. But along with several other signatories of the petition, they told Yedioth about incidents in which Israeli troops had opened fire on Palestinian children and other civilians who posed no apparent danger to their lives. In a statement, the Israeli army said: "To serve in the Israeli Defense Forces is obligatory under the law and there is no place for reserve soldiers to choose what jobs they want and what jobs they don't want. The writers of the petition don't represent the soldiers and officers of the reserve who understand their mission and are working days and nights toward the security of the state of Israel and peace for its citizens." Most Israeli men are required to serve as army reservists until they are 45 years old, typically spending a few weeks to a month or more each year away from their families and civilian jobs. Raanan Gissin, spokesman for Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, acknowledged that allegations of abuse by the army do happen and should be investigated, but he dismissed the petition and refusals to serve in the army as a "marginal phenomenon." The petition "undermines the basic tenet of Israeli democracy," he said. "You can't have a government in which people can decide they'll .‚.‚. bomb this target but not that target. You abide by the rule of the majority and the majority has decided this is the government and this is its policy." Since the current Palestinian armed uprising erupted in September 2000, more than 500 Israelis have refused to serve in the Israeli occupied territories, including pacifists and veterans, recruits and reservists, according to There's a Limit, an Israeli group that encourages such objectors. Of that number, about 40 have been sentenced to prison terms that are generally brief, including 12 reserve officers. Others have been ignored or given army jobs inside Israel. Ram Rahat, 45, a former combat soldier who refused to serve during Israel's invasion of Lebanon in 1982, said the current refusals mirror patterns that emerged in previous conflicts. "This says that people who have gone through [army reserve duty] a couple of times, going through the territories and seeing the reality of what's going on there, are starting to get fed up with it," said Rahat, who is an accountant. "It's exactly what happened in the first intifada as well. As more and more people did reserve duty and came back for their second and third tours, there were more and more cases of refusal."

Or.. Maybe it wasn't shown in the media, because of the way it inspires an emotional awe, and hope, and strikes that chord within all human beings that helps them to remember that there is help and hope, and there always was. It brings a kind of peace to the soul. It's a perfect reminder that there is unseen Love, and aid, if we would only turn our attention to that, which is just beaming good intention towards mankind, instead of focusing on our despair. Also, I see the flag as not quite touching the ground,, almost, but not quite.

My Favorite Poem: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Mountain Dreamer Speaks It doesn't interest me what you do for a living, I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing, It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon, I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain! I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it. I want to know if you can be with JOY, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human. It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can hear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore be trustworthy. I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty everyday, and if you can source your life on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon. It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back. It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments. (Oriah, Mountain Dreamer, Indian Elder

I was lucky enough to take the last week, and go upstate NY to Herkimer, to take the kids herkimer diamond mining. I've always loved rocks and stones and know that they truly do have a conciousness, healing properties, and they do they're job well, especially if you are aware of that fact. (Just think about what silver colloidal can do here). I also figured out how to swing a sledge hammer using less energy.. while mining, so watch out you NWO guys! I guess working in the mines really enhanced this positive energy these special crystals give off, because so far the crystals have given me two different visions while meditating. The kids were also having vivid pictures of herkimer diamond crystals in their minds eye, while we were up there working so closely with them. Another thing about these two meditations,,, they were fallen into automatically,, I wasn't trying to meditate when they happened. The first one happened when I was up there and had worked the mines for 6 1/2 hrs. (It's hard work, in the sun, but once you've got "the fever", there's NO stopping you!) That night as soon as I finally turned out the lights, to sleep,I had a vivid picture of a crystal growing. It was a gigantic perfect one, and I was viewing it from above looking down at its central point. It was filled with many rainbows, beautiful, perfect and impressive, and then, the flower of life pattern began to develop in the center of the crystal and expand outwards. It was alive with energy, emanating and growing ever outward, and in my vision, I understood that this crystal represented "The Source of All that Is".. or "God" as some believe the name to be. Then.. smaller crystals began to grow up from the base of the huge perfect crystal, as would a crystal cluster,, growing as offshoots from the Original Huge perfect crystal,, and I knew that the little offshoot growing crystal were "Us". We are offshoots of the Original Source crystal, an actual part of it, but all growing separately, but together. Even the Original Crystal. This to me, only verified what I believe, that we humans,, truly have more ability, and positive energy to use at our fingertips, than we could ever imagine. That, that fact has been hidden from us purposely, forever. We truly are a part of, and connected to The Source, and it witholds none of its totally growing flower of life energy to anyone open to it. You are more capable and powerful than you think, if you use it positively, wisely, and in harmony with the outgrowing flower of life. Another good thing to know about rocks, stones, crystals or minerals is that even the smallest chip off the original Mountain of rock,,, holds the energy of the whole mountain of rock it came from. It's energy is NOT diminished by it's smaller size. Now don't get me wrong here,, I am not saying "God is a gigantic Crystal,, or , a gigantic Herkimer Diamond or anything like that, lol. This meditation was symbolic ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Later I will write about the second involuntary meditation, which was more like a lesson in a balancing and "centering yourself" technique.

Thanks Thermit, it was inspirational to say the least. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The second one happened after I had gotten home and was looking at and separating by size and quality my "finds". Between the 3 kids and I, we found at least 500, ranging from pinhead to 3/4 in. in size. Some guy in the same camp area we were in, across the street from the mines, found one a bit larger than a golf ball! We also broke 3 fishing poles trying to catch a trout in the river that ran thru the camp, because all the trout were monsters ranging 1 1/2 - 3ft. Next time I will bring an extra heavy duty shark fishing pole! Well anyway, after separating the stones I again became real tired and kind of fell into a meditation in which I was very aware of my breathing, and that when I drew a breath in it felt as if it was being drawn into the left side of my body. All my breaths energy was going to the left. I conciously tried to direct the energy of the breath being drawn in, towards the right side of my body and at first it wasn't easy, it was still going to the left. Then I remembered of course I can direct the breath energy towards the right side, and nothing could prevent me from doing so. Soon I was feeling the energy from the drawn breath going into the right side of my body. Then I said to myself, to bring it into the center of me and release it evenly from the center towards the left and right, equally. It took a few times to get it to center,,,kept hopping back and forth to "almost center, left or right" but then I got it centered, and it felt more like a tube of white breath that came through the center of me. This is where you can bring in light and energy down through your crown chakra, through your body and down into the earth. This is when you expand the tube of white breath light your are breathing in, in a centered, balanced way, and expand it out all around you as far as you can. I found that breathing like this, I could direct the breath energy to any chakra, moving the energy up and down easily, and I threw my third eye out , for the first time in my life last night. Well folks, thats it for now. If anything else happens , I will let you all in on it!

Slow DownHave you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round, or listened to rain slapping the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight, or gazed at the sun into the fading night? You better slow down, don't dance so fast, time is short, the music won't last. Do you run through each day on the fly, when you ask "How are you?", do you hear the reply? When the day is done, do you lie in your bed, with the next hundred chores running through your head? You better slow down, don't dance so fast time is short, the music won't last. Ever told your child, we'll do it tomorrow, and in your haste, not seen his sorrow? Ever lost touch, let a good friendship die, 'cause you never had time to call and say "hi". You better slow down, don't dance so fast time is short, the music won't last. When you run so fast to get somewhere, you miss half the fun of getting there, When you worry and hurry though your day, it is like an unopened gift thrown away. Life is not a race, so take it slower, hear the music before the song is over.
