Check out the Xray data for yesterday..look at the goes 8 0.5-4.0A Data( the blue part of the graph ) http://www.sec.noaa.gov/rt_plots/xray_5m.html

That's could be considered a bug Bob. It's just that a thread which previously occupied this page address already had gathered those hits, but when I moved the thread, the hit counter isn't adjusted accordingly. Sorry.
Perhaps there was a satellite eclipse, they mention this can cause dropouts, and all the GOES 8 information is missing for the gap which you noticed.
